dont ask me why, but for some reason i'm calling BS on that one. unless you have some nice rearsets and aftermarket exhaust i dont think it's even possible to get that much lean on a katana...
yea, i was gonna tell you guys to not waste your time, but i hadn't heard if it had been repaved recently, so i let you guys check it out first. the triple nickel is a sweet road, but the pavement makes it worthless.
there was a group that went up to Michigan speedway a month or two ago. it's a club my dad belongs to. they got to lap the track at 120mph for a while. sadly my dad couldnt make it as we were racing. plus i highly doubt he would drive it that far('98 vette with just over 6k miles on the clock) i would say you mite've seen it around, but now i realize that unless you go to the corvette shows(and it sounds like you guys aren't that big into vettes) then you def. havent seen it.
it was my first time on the track too. not to mention there is a BIG difference there between th sv's and 600's. i'm all out of go as i turn in for the kink as the 600's are grabbin another gear clickin over 160 while i'm struggling to see 130... SV's def dont like the big tracks.
aight john, we have a new plan! get you AND the girls onto a track ASAP! oh BTW, i did some testing for mid-ohio a week ago last thursday on the new pavement. the track is SMOOTH! i'm talking one tiny bump/dip on the entire track now. i turned some 1:45's on my ragged out tires. you HAVE to go up there with me sometime this year.
this is a moto gp bike toned down for the street. it's a claimed 200hp. doesnt say BHP or crank. magnesium wheels, best forks money can buy, a freakin v4 for god sakes!! evidently you dont watch much racing.
edit that= L4
yea, that's the thing, these are gonna end up in the hands of doctors and dentists more than likely.... Alhtough myself would MUCH rather have this bike than a 60k dollar chopper. and i guaranteee no one on this board could use that bike to its full potential, myself included.
haha, riiiite. they go on sale NEXT june/july, btw. 400 made. 3 years of free service and 3 year warranty. i just hope to see this bike in next years AMA superbike and superstock classes. that is, if it will qualify for homologation.
I have always been an avid suzuki guy. Always have ridden nothing but suzukis and love them. But after seeing this new bike, I want a Duc!!

anyone have an extra $65k???
congrats man! wait till you hop on a 250 fourstroke.... i came from racing 80's and was impressed hardcore at the power those things have. BTW, that xr 100 is slower than a 2 stroke 80/85. glad to hear you had fun, keep it safe and get one of your own!
when i was first riding, hyder was kickin ass on his kawis. he won the whole fair series in both classes that year i believe. That's back when he was runnin for Pro Grip. He's an AMA Pro now and doin pretty well with the Supermoto thing we're doin. I too am ridin 16-24 this year to get back into it. then once i get in shape i'll ride A class.
