yep. seen it done before. he's on a R1. most of those choppers are lookin at 120mph or so. Plus if he would've gone hard from the get go, the chopper prolly wouldnt have seen him. Ofcourse i'm sure traffic wasnt the best for 160mph runs
  4. but are the fairings sittin in the exact same spots? I'm just sayin that when i sit on the bike, my knees hit the plastic and on the 750 they dont. Could be rearsets or the way the plastics are positioned. idk but it's not exactly the same

stupid! i still dont get why you would park and run. Best chance is open that shit up.
  6. The fairings on a 600 come a good deal closer, the 600 is a lot more compact than the 750. I was sitting on the '05s earlier this year and i just cant fit on the damn thing.
  7. yea, biggest difference from the cars and bikes is that the efi cars have MAF/MAS sensors and adjust, maybe one day the bikes will catch up and have a sensor. Good luck with the setup though ben.
  8. beautiful. i had no idea they were that expensive back in the day. Now you can pick 'em up for $500 easy
  9. actually, last i knew john hasnt even been to a trackday. a lowered 600 with a 215lb rider is gonna sag pretty far compared to stock. much of any lean angle is gonna scrape the plastic/pegs. Plus being the same height as chad, i know what it's like to ride a bike that's too small, it gets real uncomfortable, real quick. Lowering should only be done for shows, short people, and drag racing. These bikes are built to be twisty machines, why would anyone want to change that??
  10. it mite be tuff to fit on chad. i cant have a 600 because i hit my legs on the fairing. u and i are pretty close in height. i'd say a 750 would be about the rite size.
  11. what about launchin in 2nd? not sure how low your gearing is. the new 600's are low 10's now, with gearing, dogbones and strappin the front a stock 600 has gone 9's this year.
  12. i'll try to be there. gotta paint my dad's 2 story deck tomorrow. but he does live rite of Orion there by polaris.
  13. no man, mine are sunglasses. you dont even notice the foam at all. plus the only way you can legally wear glasses and have the shield open is if they seal to your head. It makes them extremely comfy and nothing ever gets in your eyes.
  14. i'm good for sunday. grad party is sat.
  15. yea, SV650. 90degree v-twin pushin around 72hp stock. About the max you can build 'em is 100hp. but the damn thing is only 360lbs or so dry.
  16. aw, the advantage of 70hp.........
  17. i got some sunglasses at the bike show in cleveland earlier this year. They have the foam to seal off your eyes. Cost me $10 and i love 'em. Dont even notice that i have them on. I like the wind in my face so i often ride with my shield open.Plus they provide extra shade on these sunny days.
  18. i'm not about that much speed on the street. I usually look for 15,25 mph adv. corners. 80 is about as fast as i'll drag onthe street. the ol sv isnt too good in the high speed stuff.
  19. take that to Hickman, then grab hickman rd. and take that into hanover. hickman rd= amazing, but gotta watch for some gravel. and almost all the turns are blind.
  20. Where's 56 at? Ben, i'm talkin Knee dragging material. no chicken strips, full lean type of twisties.
  21. For central Ohio, i ride on Rt. 79 and Hickman Rd. I hear Mohican has some real nice roads too.
  22. how "decent" i'm kinda spoiled by the ones i ride almost everyday. ask john about 'em.
  23. Just seein if there's any interest. i really dont feel like parting this thing out. Gonna be headin to college and starting into Road Racing this summer. Just dont have time/money to do what i want with it. '95 AWD. almost 140k miles RPS stg. Needs some tuning to get where it should be with this setup. Easily a low 12 sec. car. I have the slips to prove it. I'm taking offers, no low balling guys. If it comes down to it, i'll just part it out, or put this shit on the laser
  24. i saw hoblick's bike and saw john for a second. i had the copper sv650 next to the copper sv1000.
