  4. this is getting rediculous. Just think of the facts people. Slap that bike on a dyno and it'll tell you what the bike will top out at in "perfect" conditions. pretty much you can gear it to the moon and see what you come up with. My sv did 120 with my current gearing(+3), i could care less. If you ride a sportbike it's made to turn, i honestly could care less how fast i go down the straight. Also, i'm tired of people making rediculous claims about performance. Unless you have 100% proof of your vehicle doin something, then keep it to yourself.

  7. it's not gonna happen. sorry. the zx12 just has shitty aerodynamics. it has over 20hp over the busa but cant keep up. the busa weighs a good deal more too. And i'm sorry, but if the zx12 cant even do it, then there's no way a zx10 without a turbo and major investment would see 200mph. You've gotta understand physics. At those kinda speeds, 90% of the hp is being used to push the wind, 10% would be the rolling resistance, and other on bike losses. Plus a TRE mod usually only works in the low gears, top gear is always full timing. The lower gears are retarded to keep you from landin on your ass so easily. Oh and john, those mph numbers are on a track, much shorter straightaways than a street. I'd say they'd easily do 210-215 at the salt flats.
  8. k5 all the way. So much more advanced overall. And i agree about not havin anywhere to ride, luckily i live north of the city and have a couple spots. But that's why you should just get a track bike. All the twisties you could ever want and much safer. Plus i dont believe the zx10 is really anywhere close to the k5, imho.

  16. dyno'd it at Mid-ohio today. stock filter, desnorkel, slip on, PCIII USB, +3 sprocket. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a314/owndjoo/img003.jpg almost 72hp! i wanna find 80hp for next year without motor work.....i'm thinkin i'll atleast need cams. Oh well, it'll be a liter beater at the track.

  21. but you have no idea the dif. from here and there. hundreds of bikes and some cars on not only one of the most curvy roads, but dangerous as well. ego's get real big down there.

  23. What does this have to do with anything? There are too many squids down there and it makes it even more dangerous since it is a very curvy road. Some of the people killed are actually very good riders too. You've just gotta be pretty defensive down there.

    saturday is the amateur,FUSA,and a round of Superbike. then sunday are the rest of the pro classes with another round of superbike. i think... John is driving i believe, i'm gonna be riding behind him. not sure how we're goin, but i'd say we should take rt. 13 i believe it is. goes rite up by the track and is much more scenic than the freeway.
