I see em every single day when I am working downtown. I don't think its entirely apt that they "had the same chances at life" than everyone else. Some of them have serious mental problems. Some of them just want to be left alone and not live in society. You don't see those types begging much though. Many of us are very lucky to have a family that supports us when we need it or have a college education or whatnot. I'm sorry but not everyone is afforded those same things. That said I rarely give change or whatever. If you really want to help them, donate money to shelters or something like that. The dollar you give em is probably going to buy beer or something. That doesn't help. When you give to a shelter you are helping a lot more.

did anyone see the damage to that harley that got hit in the parking lot? when i was leaving he pulled into the space next to me. didnt look too bad to me. fender looked a little bent and the plate and turn signals looked a little jacked, but overall not terrible... didnt really take a close look though.

I'm in this boat too. Yes they should disarm her. But the body slam of a frail 84 year old lady crosses a line imo. Cops should use some tact now and again. Every person can not be dealt with the same way. They should realize that old people may not hear their command well, or that it may take them a second or two to comprehend what they are hearing and comply. Hell I'd bet any one could have taken that knife off of her without getting a scrape. Grab arm remove knife from hand.

IIRC the video was of the french equivalent of our secret service. they were the riders that rode with the motorcade, they drew with the left hand like you said, never missing a beat on the bike... so in the event someone pops shots at the motorcade, they are prepared lol. i really wish i could find the video again. it was pretty cool.
