  1. I thought you were (since you said you were being an asshole), but since I wasn't sure (and this isn't the kitchen), I didn't want to risk a trip to banned camp. It's all good. graemlins/supergay2.gif (I just wanted to use this one).
  2. 1) Put the kickstand down 2) get off the bike 3) Run over and press the crosswalk button I've actually had to do this, but usually I either bust a right or run the damn thing. The greenlight magnet thing does work. Also, need to call ODOT to let them know the sensors are jacked up (or maybe it is the city). Funny enough, the sensor at the ODOT HQ on West Broad also doesn't pick up bikes.
  3. 6RR, 600, 900, 929, 954, 1000?
  4. Ummm...I'm just going leave this one alone, simply because I'm not sure if you're serious. I do have a Cobra. So what? That is another type of MUSTANG, and mine certainly isn't the fastest of said specimen on the planet, especially with me behind the wheel. I figured another Mustang owner could take a little ribbing from a fellow Mustang lover. I would have done it even if I drove a Mustang II, which, as it happens, I saw a VERY clean example of tonight at George's American Grill off of Georgesville.
  5. I agree. After all, the Ford marketing material for the 1990 Mustang GT said IT was fast and we all know THAT is not true ! graemlins/burnout02.gif
  6. Arggggg. My wife is coming back into town today and we don't have a baby-sitter. Have fun guys
  7. Cool...I'll try to clear it with my wife.
  8. See this video: http://www.shagwall.com/leeroy.wmv
  9. "That's some fucked up, repugnant shit, Vincent."
  10. No-fault insurance explained: http://www.autoinsuranceindepth.com/no-fault-insurance.html
  11. ^ yep - had this happen to me. Someone rear-ended me and pushed me into the car in front of me. His insurance had to cover both cars.
  12. The person running the red light would probably be cited for failure to yield. No fault means that if I hit you, there is no fault from the insurance company standpoint. My insurance covers my damage, your's covers yours. I can still be ticketed (the state has to fill it's coffers). Michigan is a no fault state, I believe. Someone rear ends you, then they don't have to pay for your damages. Total bullshit if you ask me, and I would extract my payment in 'other ways'.
  13. PARTY AT ODB's PLACE. Wait. Looks like there has already been one.
  14. Kurt - is this fallout from your warranty fiasco?
  15. Oh? Care to elaborate (for research purposes ya know). Strippers need love, too.
  16. Chad, it shouldn't be difficult to raise at all. You loosen the forks in the triple clamp and drop them down. I'm not sure how the rear is lowered on the GSX-Rs. I'm assuming they use dogbones, in which case all you should really need to do is remove the dogbones. Certainly should be easier than lowering a car. I don't know much about salvage titles, other than that it kills the resale of a bike. Beyond that, I haven't a clue. It doesn't take a lot of damage to total a bike though. Fairings are expensive. I've heard of bikes being totalled because the frame got scratched up and the insurance company didn't want to pay someone to go over it. I don't know how true that is, though. BTW, ZX-10R > beginners. That is not a good starter bike. My ZX-9 has more power than I'll probably ever use and it is down about 35 hp to the 1000s, and weighs about 50 lbs more. I honestly have no idea how anyone but racers can handle these 04/05 liter bikes on the street. Of course, I'll probably upgrade someday anyhow
  17. I think you've maybe forgotten that the roads are there for people to get to point A to B FIRST, then for entertainment. When there are other people on the road, find someplace else to go. If there are drivers everywhere, then take it to the track. If some driver get's pissed at you roll racing and closing down the highway, they might just decide to run you over. Car > bike, then. True story.
  18. I'll bet if you practice like Josh says, you'll probably outrun guys that haven't practiced and have thrown a boatload of money at their bikes.
  19. QS&L on Wednesday nights is bike night.
  20. It's not as fast as the 600SS's from a decade ago either, but who cares? You can't use most of the capability of even an older 600SS on the street. You can flog a EX500 pretty good and really take advantage of it. I remember one guy we used to ride with that had a EX500. He gave that thing hell and didn't have any trouble sticking with us 600's on the twisties. I'd love to have on in the garage.
  21. Let us know what you think. Pics would be nice!
  22. Unless you're just looking for someone to bang. Man has got to get his priorities straight. BTW, if you keep trying to get her back, then she knows she has you and can just come running back anytime things don't go her way. Don't go down that path. Let it go as much as possible. If you are going to remain friends, then just keep it as that. Don't go out of your way (anymore than a friend would) to help her out. I personally am not a believer in the 'friends' thing. Once you have been emotionally involved with someone, it's almost impossible to remain friends.
