The dodge diesels still use the 727 trans from the 70s cars! True story. Only real difference is in the valve body. Things have been changed to up line pressures. Most guys spend about 1500 for an upgraded band and drum, plus input shaft and convertor, etc. The Cummins is a proven platform, but the Duramax stock for stock makes much more power. Do a search for LBZ Duramax. Or, for a better read, go to thedieselpage.com where they do real world driving and towing comparisons of all makes/models of diesel trucks, both stock and modded. If it were my money, I would get an 01-02 Dodge Cumins 4x4. About 16-18k for an auto truck with a LARGE aftermarket. Plus, they are the loudest out there when equipped with a 5" exhaust

Well, to be on the safe side, consider a 158.00 dollar Shinko drag radial and one month of my insurance at 58 bucks. So yea, 13k for over 200hp at the wheel and high 8s in the 150s. Not bad. Plus, 42mpg and smooth as a Lexus!! Note: the above described motorcycle is NOT my bike, but may soon be

copied and pasted from another forum: First off let me tell you the weather sucked, high 70s, muggy , sticky and overcast all day ... Good news was the track was hooking hard !!!!! Bad news is i hit the rev limiter on the 1 to 2 shift every pass.. With the flys out you go though first gear real fast!! First run off the trailer ..Hit the rev limit on the one two shift.. 60........1.50 330......3.86 1/8........5.82 @125.38 1000....7.53 1/4........8.98 @ 153.88 Second run i almost got the gaurd rail .. and had to let off ... 9.06 @ 151.03 Third run....Hit the rev limiter again on the one two shift .. 60.....1.42 330....3.83 1/8......5.79 @ 125.08 1000...7.50 1/4 ...8.95 @ 153.60 Forth and last pass and i hit the friggin limiter again on the one two shift.... 9.00 @ 152.67 I feel with some more seat time and not hitting the rev limiter it will go 8.80s... It hard to get the hang of a new set up when you only get 4 friggen runs in 5 hours..... The good news is i got my 8 second pass and i did it with a stock motor ZX14 with bolts ons AND running 89 pump gas .....If some told me 5 years ago that kawi was going to build an 8 second bike with just bolt ons i would have called them crazy .... Smokin ..... Vehicle = 2006 Zx14 piped , P/C, strapped and lowered, 89 octane pump gas. 8.95@153.60 Pipe = Brocks Street Megaphone $1045.00 and comes with proper Ign/Fuel maps. P/C = Dynojet Power Commander. $300.00 Front end strap kit = $21.95 Lowering Links = $69.95 And finally, since this is the kitchen, I dont care if it IS a bike

Too bad the rest of the world wont go high 8s for less than $1500 like some of us

don't Actually, a dealership technician is a really good job to have! Just make sure you work for a well know and respected company, and you should do fine. Its defiantly not a job for everyone though.

Hey Matt, I dont think you are a dick or anything - but its a good thing that the turbo he is buying from me is not a 60-1 or a 60 trim. Its the terminology that Garrett applies to the 60 mm wheel thats in this turbo. Thanks for playing.
-
You got it! It wont go anywhere Hows the rest of the car coming?!
-
Dude! You need to look closer!! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32340 Its a T04E 60mm. Perfect for you application. Call me and I can give you directions to my place and you can check it out. Price is 450.

I have been able to sell most of the items off my 87 turbo II RX7, but still have the turbocharger and header. The turbo is a Garrett turbo. T04E P Trim. It has the big shaft for less chance of breaking or bending, and a dry center section so no coolant lines need be run, just oil. It has a 60 wheel .70 A/R , and a hybrid inlet to allow better air flow and fast spool ups. The exhaust side has a large 1.15 A/R perfect for rotaries or a small V8. It has a 3" vband outlet and is already drilled for an egt probe. This turbo would actually be well suited for a diesel, also, as its fairly similar to an HX40. It has very limited mileage on it, and was never even taken into the efficiency range. It should be efficient to 25-27psi. My car was making just at 400rwhp at 15psi on stock ports. The exhaust manifold is a tuned length tapered runner truly divided one, with a top mount wastegate location for easy access to change springs or maintenance. It was built by Rice Racing in Australia, home of some of the most powerful daily driven rotary vehicles. Using this manifold on even a large AR turbo, I was seeing 10-15psi at 2500-2800rpm, and would have been over 20 by about 3200. I can post pictures if need be. Prices are 450 for turbo 350 for manifold or 750 for both. Thank you, Joe

Are you kidding me? Lexus is not Toyota, its a completely different company, but parented by Toyota. I work at Lexus, they wont hurt me on price. I won't own a BMW as I prefer to enjoy my car on the road, not a shop. The IS500 will be nice if they use the 5.0L out of the LS600h and not the 4.6L from the LS460. Spaceghost knows what my out of pocket will be
-
they all really look the same, thats an IS350, which I might get, or I might wait for the IS500

http://www.autospies.com/images/8-4-05/lexus/1/32.jpg I SO cant wait!

one of my favorite parts of owning an open class bike

Nice job Ben! I like the looks. I need to get some pictures of the wife's Jetta, its 50%/35% also, done by Mr. Tint.

Glad to see the car is up and running Doc!! I have had momments like that, and I think that until I would ever become a father, and my wedding day, those would have to be the happiest moments of my life! Looks like its time to put some money into the ZX14 now!!

Member 33. Drove a Civic Si back in the day and was just starting college. Knew a lot about nothing and liked to think the other way. Traded the civic on a 1997 Cobra - which I still own. Got a 2002 Yamaha FZ1, which was traded for an 06 Kawasaki ZX14. I am now a technician at Germain Lexus of Dublin and attempting to start my own little repair business on the side. I own a new build MI Home in Westerville with my wife Stephanie. No children yet. Other than the house/marriage I am still me.

Just noticed the Lexus coment I would seriously check out the Lexus IS either a 250 AWD or for more fun the 350. No rattles, more reliable, more reliable, more reliable, better interior ergonomics, much better looking (IMO) Just my .02 never met someone who bought a Lexus and didnt like it, for what its worth... which is why so many people own them and I work on them

Just had a guy stop at my house with cash for the rear end/axles drive shaft (Sorry JP!! cash in hand, you understand) but I do have the Trans, starter, and slave cylinder! PM me for details.
