  1. uh, thats a she, Scott.
  2. Sold it about a month ago, sorry Scotty. Needed money or else I would be putting something in it.
  3. or call me Mike. I am always willing to help out an RX7 owner
  4. LMAO! Way to go Doug! I absolutely LOVE my FJ and have no regrets (but having a car payment) at all about it. The chassis is based on the GX470, without the stupid air suspension, and those are terrific in abysmal conditions. For other FJ owners/fans check out allprooffroad.com for some sweet FJ parts.
  5. nice!! May have to check one out!
  6. i had 15 at a speed eating contest, I think it was a couple of minutes... most is in excess of 30 at a single sitting. We bought 50, and I had at least 30 empties in front of me, the exact count escapes me as it was a while ago. They are nothing. Eat two Chipotle burritos with chicken, beans, rice, chease, sour cream, corn, and hot sauce in less than 10 minutes, THATS an accomplishment!
  7. Well, ever since getting married a family has been looming in the not so distant future. My wife and I are all settled into our home and decided that a Mustang just is not cut out for hauling a family around. Keep in mind that as of now our family is my wife, myself, and our two English bulldogs Buzz and Dayzee. Add a kid to that mix and it is just screaming SUV, truck, whatever. We shopped around for a long time and since I am a Germain employee, I get to choose from a lot of different vehicles that I can apply an employee price to. Long, late night discussions between us and the dogs narrowed our search down to a 4 door pickup or an SUV. Stephanie decided that we just don't have room for a pickup, and we really don't need one, so SUV it was. Disheartened, we went SUV shopping stopping at Saturn, Toyota, and GM. I didn't care for the plushness offered by Saturn and GM and since I work at Lexus I get to see first hand what kids and dogs do to very nice leather interiors. Well, I fell in love at Toyota, and after a VERY lengthy test drive, so did the wife. We purchased a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser in Sun Fusion yellow with 95% of all the normal non TRD options offered. Roof rack, electronic locking rear differential and active traction control in 4x4 mode, 9 speakers with sub, 6 disc in dash yada yada. I appreciated the ruggedness and the durability (not to mention my cost for factory parts and access to technical data ) she liked the ride quality, the room, and the ease of caring for the interior, which has water repellent seats and no carpet to stain. I love it, and will purchase another Toyota once her lease is up. Go Toyota... On to the pictures http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0426071856.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0426071856c.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0426071857a.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0426071857.jpg And our two "kids" http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0326071853a.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s138/forcefedwindsor/0326071853.jpg
  8. Points is basically the fee that the mortgage broker is charging you for getting you the mortgage. When I bought my house, the financial institution charged me points, and that went to the purchase of my home. They said its basically money they gave me to pay the builder. All in all it boils down to more money out of my pocket. Shop around, and find a mortgage without points. At least thats how I understand it......
  9. I think that the numbers I heard were higher than your links, as they were counting indirect employees also.... all I know is that I prefer Toyota and my FJ will tow the hell out of a Sky.

    Who are you?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Campbell "American professor, writer, and orator best known for his work in the fields of comparative mythology and comparative religion." My first name is shared, but the middle name is my dad's first name. Also, seems I died in 1987.
  12. Toyota employs more American citizens than any other manufacturer, they are the most profitable of all car companies, and are about 9th most profitable company in the world. Clearly GM is not >*. Anyhow, Nitroubird, Toyota is currently in the developmental stages with Isuzu diesel division (Duramax) and are designing trucks to take on/out the big three heavy class trucks. Plus, I just bought a new Toyota and they pay my mortgage indirectly, so pppbbbbttt to GM

    Pet Food Recall

We feed science diet Nature's Best. So far so good according to what I have seen. Our female Daisy gets Science Diet prescription i/d with her dry, but that seems safe for now.

agreed 110%. Unless you are 120 and you wife is 85lbs, a nerw liter bike won't exactally be suited for more than a trip around the block.

Shoot me a PM and I will tell you all that I know on the ZX14. Ben is correct, I used to have an 02 FZ1. I liked it, but it was too tall, too softly sprung, and carbed. I got my ZX14 because I do ride a lot with my wife, I don't road race at all, I love 40-150 rolls, its fuel injected, its VERY smooth, VERY confident. I have ridden a ZX10 and it is a hell of a bike. It was just too small and racy for what I wanted. For the kind of riding I do...real world stuff like commuting 200 mile plus trips with cruiser bikes, and freeway blasts with anything that goes fast....the ZX14 was to me the perfect bike. Also, google the Concourse 14, you just might like it Alos, if you and your wife would ever like to see/sit on a ZX14, let me know and I would be happy to meet up with you somewhere.
