kendons are fantastic! I've used them a lot!
-
the pants always look like you have a diaper on.. they are built so that when in the full tuck it tightens up.. your really no supposed to be able to walk straight up and down in a quality suit depending on the build.. talking to my buddy he wore his for 5 track days before loving Track so much he wanted to dive head first and buy a better suit.. said it did him well.. was a bit stiff and took a while to loosen up but did fine for his pace
-
those run 350 and under... I had a buddy buy one.. he said it fit OK... I have zero knowledge about them other than he paid under 350
-
you right its not politically correct... its down right wrong... I'm willing to accept some concessions.. but you, yourself are failing to see that you just proved my point in your own comment! the other car doing something freakish is everything... lol the stunt section is only dead because of douchebags on public roads... but there was quite a few guys on that section that share the mentality of keep it smart and off the streets..
-
so you have never seen or done a wheelie or stoppie or anything else that hasn't gone perfectly to plan? you have never drifted slightly across the line? or better yet your perfect.. you have never made a mistake but you doing a wheelie has caused another driver to loose focus.(because your doing something that isn't common place on a road) and that drive slams on the brakes suddenly and you have to avoid it? oh yeah accidents never happen.. think about it.. you are consciously making the choice to do something that COULD cause injury or kill someone. driving daily in a normal manor accidents happen.. but making raising the stakes by doing a stunt is douchebag... your mindset is flawed... seriously though stunt away.. on private lots then you wouldn't get the flack...
-
no stunting isn't being a douchebag... it takes skill and practice just like any other skill... stunting on public roads... like drag racing on public roads ... like racing around public roads is a douchebag move... you are taking people who don't wish to participate. and make them into potential hazards... don't act like you or any other stunter with years of practice hasn't ever messed up... shit the pros mess up... same with drag racers and motogp racers... but when your on a public road and mess up.. you can muck up someone elses life.. not just your own... do I like seeing stunts heck yeah.. when on private property or properly sanctioned where every single person around knows whats going on and the risk involved... just like I love going to races! but take it to the city streets and your 100% unequivocally a douchebag with no regard for the ones that have no choice in your mistakes

this is correct.... Road America in Wis. ACC and Blackhawk in Chicago area Putnam 1 hr west of indy, Indiana Gingerman and Grattan in lower pen Michigan? then start heading south Barber, Little Tally, Road Atlanta, NCM and sometimes Jennings.... so many many tracks to choose from. -
First ride and First ride of the year! she is a MONSTER....
-
I feel its worth it.. I use it to listen to practice and qualifying on my phone live while at work... then I can relive some glory days as it has all the races back to like 2006...

not to derail but I do have to throw in my obligatory plug... Sign up for the STT forum... there is an amazing wealth of knowledge on there with great forum stickies with FAQ and so on... plus! STT does Raffles for Free track days for those people whom have NEVER done a track day before!
-
STT still rents LIMITED size suits.. I'm am unsure if mid ohio still does
-
no small displacement groups... just go in the slowest group and see how it works out.. PLENTY of people run 300s and have a blast.. if you textile 2 piece only attaches in the back with a zipper about 12-16 inches long and nothing on the sides and front that will not cut it
-
your question didn't get separated to well... if you want to go up to mid ohio on a track day to spectate... its free just have to sign a waiver at the gate saying you wont go on track.. then you can walk around the pits see what people are doing even as people questions (assuming you being nice and they are too) most people like helping new people... then you can walk around the track in approved areas and see how the 3 groups are riding... as far as RIDING at at track day yes there is a Fee depending on how early you sign up before the event... around 190 to 220ish I believe for the full day, you can sign up online or on call mid ohio and sign up that way.. you HAVE to start in novice class.. this is for yours and everyone elses safety as you learn the ropes.. it will include class room time and riding time... 20 mins every hr from 9am to 5 pm with lunch break... coaches will instruct you in the class room as well as what your doing on track last I checked a 2 piece textile was acceptable with a 3/4 waist zipper but I would check with them on that to be sure. Leather is preferred of course.. other requirements include a full face non modular helmet, gauntlet gloves and over the ankle boots for novice.

yes, I was looking at buying one so as i'll be flipping wheels constantly I always feel bad borrowing stuff a lot haha -
What's up everyone... This Past weekend I was finally able to make the trek down south to Jennings GP to break the cold snap here in Ohio and ride the new to me Beastie... 2012 1199S I changed NOTHING on it mechanically just cleaned it up made it mine... there maybe some changes coming soon.. but for now.. all I can say was man its as fun as I expected it to be. shout out to Paul Finn aka Attackpainter for the very bling paint... the pics don't do it justice... there is a fine gold flake over the whole bike.. I gave him just a little direction and off he went! We may do the wheels white with the neon yellow stripe later. best time of the weekend for me was 1:23.87 very respectable for only having 3 days on the bike anyways quick pic of the old look.. then the fun stuff
