what i have done many times is mix a cap full of bleach it a a little more than a pint of water and spray it up through the a/c drain onto the evaprator. problem solved. GM also sells something to spray up through the drain hole to do the same thing.

just a FYI mine made that noise too, lifters fix the problem as did the balancer (i had a bent crank pulley, pretty common on vettes and make a noise like that) i recommend the GM Racing lifters (also known as the CTS-V lifters) i have them and also starkmaster has them and both cars are running great. PM me if you decide to get them and i'll get you hooked up.

385. bottom end is the same other than the new rings for 02'. the cam changed from a .525/.525 to a .550/.550 and got sodium filled exhaust valves. along with some tuning changes they went from the 385 to 405. the heads were unchanged but they installed stronger rod bolts.

i have done so many of these upgrades. they suck.

my 01 was 21k with 72k miles. the 01's have a lower value than the 02-04 since most people want the 405hp.

yeah 24lbs injectors don't even sound close. i had to put 42lbs in the vette since the stock 28lbs would go lean at high RPM stock!

i have stock c5z manifolds in the garage. sounds like you want a fun street car. call brandon at the number sam posted and get your self a cold air intake. veraram is the best out there so thats what i would recomend. if you decide on a cat back watch out for systems that drone alot on the freeways, it will drive you nuts. if you do swap heads then with the c5z manifolds and cold air intake you really should have the car tuned, its not a must have with those few mods but it will gain you some more power over the mods alone.

yes, its not a brake issue its just how the car is designed to be a smoother ride. getting in a C6 and then getting in a C5Z is like going from a caddy to a race car they feel that much different. brian really needs to drive both and pick from there. and then think about what he wants to do with the car. 05 and IIRC some earily 06 cars had the weak rear diff that is prone to brakeing with alot of power at the drag strip. as is the 01 and 02 cars.

the c5z will still pull it on the track (road corse and drag strip) search threads about people trading there c6 for a c5z because the handling isn't what the c5z is. mostly feed back from the brakes and steering. if he'll take 26 then jump on it. looks its a toss up, i love the way the c6 looks but i love my hard top way more. its just something you don't see near as much as a coupe. now if they made a FRC in the C6 that would be tits.
