33,000 is low miles for this car. i thought you rolled it twice? yeah 233,000 is low miles for an 81' honda.

there is no help for a northstar no matter what oil you put in it......

saw it when eric put it on the rollers, pretty clean 3rd gen.

oh and chad, when i had my D-max i went off the oil life system and with a summer of boat towing and hard miles the system went 12,500 miles before it hit 5% and i changed it.

reread what he said. he said brand had nothing to do with it. i switched from mobil 1 to amsoil. i searched alot on corvette forum and there have been a few engine blow because of post Katrina mobil 1 blend. things were not much better for royal purple or redline. amsoil seemed to not have any problems from what i was able to find on there. granted the engines that blew were road race engines that was good enough reason for me to switch. the vette i used to change every 3k or less depending on how many autocrosses and track days were on it. now i am going to go for 4k. the TBSS will get it every 5k and will be getting switched over to amsoil as well. ashleys CTS-V will be getting switched from mobil 1 at 3k to amsoil at 5k. (p.s. ashley, we are switching oil in your car and miles. surprise lol)

GM says to let it sit 5 mins but no more that 15 when checking oil. thats why it is low because it hasn't made its way back down to the crankcase.

i guess we'll never know.

stage 2 livernois, they have been in my garage over a year (i had them before i even had the vette). but why buy a fast and TB when i have less in the heads than the intake? no matter what the engine had to be rebuilt because of the oil buring issue from the 01' LS6 rings that GM had a problem with. so lets do math FAST intake $850? TB $200? heads $600 cam $300 i still make more horse and more importantly more torque than a stock engine could ever do with just the intake and throttle body. the most i could get with the intake and throttle body is 385rwhp. i know this for a fact. and someday i could add the intake and throttle body if i wanted to. you have to understand what i built the car for, untill you do this is all for nothing.

now this was a fresh engine with only 25 miles of brake in. i am hopeing to put it back on the dyno here in the next week or two to see if it broke 400 since its broken in now and has amsoil in it insted of some dino oil. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/CamaroAJ/AJMeade02Z06.jpg

based on weight and power its in the 11's. garrett makes less power than i do and he's in the 11.70 with just an intake. but we'll never know for sure, i have no plans on taking it to the track. so we'll call it a 17 second car.

you ment the cam/heads on the vette? they way you typed it it looked like you said do that to a civic. thats what i think is stupid. now if you knew what i built my engine for then you would understand why i did what i did. if you knew anything about my car you would know i went with a smaller cam than 02-04 LS6 engines so i could stay with a stock valve spring since i replace them 1-2 times a year. and i have something that is easy on my valve train for a longer life at high RPM. now if you would like to criticize my car or me anymore maybe you should have a clue about what your trying to criticize about.

this coming from a 12 second car? with a plate like that he has to have something done to it.

AWD or 2WD TBSS takes 6qt. all V8 trailblazers take 6. I6 takes 7qts.
