wow $600 is way too much for a side job trans install on that thing. dave, no drain plug on those. the is a fill plug and a full check plug. yellowsnake, they are not maintance free. you do need to change the filters and fluid. every 50k is what i like to do. if you do it at 100k you really risk cauing the transmission to go out due to the new fluid.

what year is your car? do you have an EGR tube? if you don't have an EGR tube you already have an LS6 intake. the later F-Body cars came with them.

fork fits the bearing it just has too much travel before it engauges the pressure plate.

also as jeff said Carbotech are good pads as well.

read alot of bad things from poor cold bite, fast wear to super high amounts of dust. i currently have C5 Z06 pads on my car (they are different than the regular C5 pad) and have no problems with them on street or the autocross last weekend. for track days i plan on getting the Hawk pads. you can also get PFC-01 or PFC-05 Performance Friction Products brake pads, i think you can get them from auto zone.

what do you want to do with the car? hawk are up there with the best for track use. search corvetteforum.com and you come up with a ton of hawk and other brands. stay away from EBC pads though.

i was in 3, from my point the guy in 5 just stood near the light pole and didn't run out far enough for the guy in the MR2 to see him. heel/toe into 1st gear into the 180 helped alot to keep the rear end of the vette in check. i had to be easy on the throttle or it would just spin tires.
