Are you kidding me? Is a slashed tire worth getting stabbed over? I agree with you on the point that playing the role of the victim is never good especially when you just sit there and take it. But you have to look at the big picture before doing something you will regret. Say he beat his ass for slashing his tire and just as he's stomping on the kid's face a cop pulls up. Assault charges, he spends the night (if not longer) in jail and will have a felony on his record the rest of his life... over a 80$ tire, that was smart. Im not saying you should be victimized and be ok with it. Yes you need to stand up for yourself but that doesnt always mean you have to resort to violence. It is about the money. If they have a playoff system they put one game above all others making the other 3 big money games "not as important". At least this is how I understood it from watching ESPN gameday. It kinda makes sense considering every year they rotate which big money game will be the championship game.

"a fine or something"? If you fight it and win you will owe court costs? The last ticket I had I fought. Sure it would've been easier just to pay the thing and eat the ticket but I didnt want it on my record or on my insurance. I showed up at court, the officer didnt. Long story short I only saved 20$ paying court costs and a fee for "state speed" which will be in my record as 1-4mph over the limit and no points as oppose to just paying the ticket and having the points. I took half a day off from work but used personal time, which I never use in the first place. If the ticket is expensive enough or you cant afford points on your license then do it.

I always thought it was shady when they put "a hold" on your account for the room and have never really understood why. If your going to charge me for the room, then charge me. If Im paying you in cash why do you need a credit card? And your absolutly right. If any company ever gives you the excuse that outsourcing their services is what's causing the problems it shouldnt matter to the consumer. I live right down the road form you Tim and this kind of stuff freaks me out. Most of the time its just myself or moms home. But every few weeks the kids and my sister come into town and I cant imagine if anything were to happen to them. Had I had a gun I would've done the same as you. The only positive is that we're directly off of a major road and for someone to commit a home invasion would probably pick an easier target that isnt as exposed to traffic as our house is.
