Damn I was JUST thinking about picking owning a dog a week ago. Good choice, I was trying to decide between a pitbull or Rotweiller. And christian your right, I hate the name too because of how people react to it. I have a friend who has a 'pit' but her vet gave her papers for a American Staffordshire Terrier. I love them but with my lifestyle right now it just wouldnt be fair to leave a dog in the house for over 12 hours at a time.

Sounds like he was just nit-picking. Cops are just like regular people, piss them off and they get mad. Rather than just being mad they take it out on you by picking every little thing wrong/"illegal" with your car. He knows there are a million cars on the road that are worse but maybe he just didnt like you? I would just get proof contrary to exactly what he cited you for. ie, proof your tires arent too worn, stock exhaust, possession of a scanner (is it actually attached to your car or was it just in your car, you could say you were just taking it from one persons house to another temporarily?) How much was the ticket overall?

Ive heard Grant Theft Auto on PS3 will be badass. I have a friend who played some sort of short demo and he said the game is awesome and the graphics are 10times better than in previous GTA's. Thats prbably that only game I would consider buying the PS3 for.

Im glad someone came out of the woodwork and admitted to being a fan. I was pissed last night when we lost, then to see another NY team GIVE AWAY a game to the Cowboys 5 min later. It had to end sometime. under Torre's 12 year tenur they won 6 World Series and made countless more appearance's to the finals thats not a bad career at all. What i dont understand is why everyone hates so much? Yes the Yankee's have been the best in the past, it doesnt mean they will ALWAYS be or that they will win EVERY game forever. Its almost like their loss was sweet redepmtion for some, but why? CobraKevin said b/c of their inflated payroll they are the worst team in sports, rather than developing players they buy them. Ok... and? Yes they have enough money to buy their talent, who wouldnt. You think Mark Cuban turned around the Mav's any other way? He spent TWICE the amount he did building up his franchise than the actual cost of buying it outright. Now look at what he's got, a great team that ALWAYS shows up in the Post-season. Lets look at Buffalo Sabre's, they do a great job "developing" players and look where it got them. They made one great run to the stanley cup last season but fell just short (which i was admittadly sad to see), then look what happened in the off season, other teams picked apart their free agent roster because those developed players KNEW they could make more on a team who was willing to spend it. So yeah, Indians won and they deserved to win, our famous Offense didnt even show up. The Rocket threw 3 innings and left which was sad considering it will probably be the last time he'll be in the uniform let alone pitch. Even captain clutch was no where to be seen. They scored first and often. The HR in the bottom of the 9th gave me hope, but wasnt enough. No excuses, they lost. They just better beat Boston. Oh and I dont think a salary cap would help MLB, it usually hurts smaller market teams (ie, Buffalo Sabre's/NHL's salary cap) rather than helping them. And for the record Im a Mets/Yankee's, Jets, Islanders, Buckeye fan. I was more mad to see Mets blow their lead and not even show up in the post season than seeing the Yankee's lose last night. So no Fairweather fan BS.

Im an OSU fan but have always wondered how we would match up to bigger/"better" SEC schools. I'd love to play FL again but most likely we will play LSU in the BCS championship. That is of course should we make it that far. So USC is DEFINITLY out of any sort of BCS title contention now right? And considering FL now has 2 losses, LSU is poised to be one of the only unbeaten teams in the nation.

Funny you guys bring that up. When mom's and I cook she would tell me her mom had this cast iron skillet that she had for years and ALWAYS used it. She explained about the coloration of the cast iron and if its aged it even better. We bought one and used it a few times but the upkeep was kind of a PITA so I usually use the regular pans. She bought a really nice set of Wolfgang Puck cookware, but it was super expensive. I think I will try and pick up a few select pieces at first. I dont need a huge set if its just me. Evan, good to hear about that I was afraid if i picked up a cheap set at walmart that they wouldnt last long.

So in the last few months ive started to take up cooking. Nothing too fancy or crazy dishes or anything, just the basics really. Well im moving into my own place in a few months and Im going to need my own cookware soon enough, can anyone recommend any particular brands or cookware, pots/pans, utensils, cutlery etc... Ive been spoiled up until now b/c my mom usually buys the REALLY expensive stuff but i dont have a spare 400$ for a set of pots/pans so im looking for good quality, a decent price, and the bare basics of what I'll need. Any chef's?

Finances are obviously a factor in your decision. No matter how much you spend on maintenance it will always be cheaper to keep an older car than to buy a new one. I would say upgrade the Fox and keep it. But would you really need to drop 2500$ in doing so or could you spend a bit here and there on bushings/shocks etc.. stuff that wouldnt be considered a major overhaul. You could always buy a dependable beater if the question of reliability is a concern. Counter point, your 27 and in a few years your probably gonna start popping out kids. When you have your first kid how much more likely do you think your wife will consider buying a new sports car? So buy the Cobra/z06 or wait 15-18 years?

Just curious was this an "aftermarket" warranty or a manufacterer warranty? I know Manu. warranties can be fairly painless but aftermarket companies or companies that sell warranties can be hard to deal with sometimes. Mostly because they dispute almost all work that has to be done and the price of such work aswell. Sounds like you got a janky deal.
