Last game i was at i had some drunk fucking idiot sitting next to me who didnt know anything and just kept screaming "FUCKING HIT HIM FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!" there's a family of 4 with two small children sitting in front of us. They were canadien fans so they obviously knew what they were watching. I saw the dad just look at this cock bag in disgust as if to say "is this what a blue jacket fan is?" I was almost embarassed. Its fine if you dont know the game or know all the rules etc.. I actually like sitting next to someone who doesnt know what icing is but realize its a game of skill. they dont go out there and just fucking pound each other all game long then expect to win.

EDIT: Ok, I forgot to mention the Columbus Crew and (currently defunct) Destroyer's when I mentioned Professional sports in Columbus. The Crew, which deserves as much attention and respect as any other pro team (especially considering their championship run this year) really earned the respect but Soccer is arguably more/less popular than hockey in North America and the United States as a whole. Either way, they did earn the respect with their championship in their respective sport. I guess Im just a bit biased b/c im a hockey fan EDIT: Everything I've just written is a drunk post. None of you idiots have any reason to make rediculous fucking post's about absolute nonesense simply because your under the influence because Ive just proven it can be done. The backspace key is crutial to making sure you dont sound like an ass

So who is honestly excited about the Blue Jackets making the playoff's? I will admit I havent been the biggest fan but in the last 2-3 seasons I've been watching the team and their progress (and subsiquent decline) and to see what they have done this year just fullfill's what I always wanted to see. A major league Columbus team (buckeyes dont count kids) be a legitamant contender in the playoffs. Its exciting to see what the Jackets have accomplished in just the last week and what they could accomplish in the coming 14 games. I can honestly say this city has looked to the buckeyes for championship play for so long its hard to shift focus to another team let alone another game all together (afterall who wouldve thought 8 years ago Cbus would/could be a hockey town?) But being in the arena district on game nights and non-game nights and seeing the excitment of the fans about what could happen is really exciting, no? A great example is FSN's coverage of Blue Jackets hockey this year. Which is up some 40% over last year. Last season I remember FSN choosing to show Cav's games over Jackets games time and time again, im not a huge bball fan so thankgod thats not the case this year. Is anyone else as excited as I am? I want this so bad not only for the team who deserves it but for a city who needs it.

ok... im drunk... and even I dont know what the fuck you just said?!

I was wondering how you watched Dubie play? I heard last time he started for us (and went 0-2) he hadnt actually played a game in 6 weeks or something crazy so he was really cold. I had to listen to the play by play on the radio at work and only sparingly at that but I was sure to listen to the last 2 minutes. I was literally screaming when Nash got that shorty on the empty net. This week has been the biggest boost to the team, we beat the top teams Detroit, Pittsburgh, Chicago and fucking Boston. I think it should be a statement that we won these games at this time of year when everyone is playing their A game and playing playoff hockey. We need to hit 4th or 5th place b/c there is no way I want to face Calgary in the first round of the playoff's. http://www.nhl.com/standings/playoffmatchup20082009.html

Wow, never knew he was a sheriff's deputy. But yeah he doesnt usually look that old b/c he's always wearing shit on his face. well... he use to anyway. Kinda sucks to hear.

Im not trying to get in the middle of the most retarded post ever made on CR. But he does have a point, Thorne specifically called out the christian faith in the title of this thread. Either way your both right I just think the intention with the initial post was more narrowly aimed at the christian faith.

I'd wear her socks. on my penis.

I said a fair weather fan for the first time in Columbus. Hence, this is the first time Columbus has been good enough to attract such fans ...
-
Why do you want to get out of it in the first place? Is it because you dont think you'll have a working car by April? Or because you just dont want to do it?
-
THATS what i heard. I knew he didnt have 4 hatties this season but knew he had more than 1 this season and they were all against detroit.
-
Never worn? or just lightly used? I might be interested, do you have any other equipment your trying to unload?
-
And for the first time EVER you would be called a fair weather fan all jokes aside, I would never count Toronto or Brian Burke out for long. He was the mastermind behind taking Anaheim from NHL's basement to stanley cup champions in 2 years. Though I think he waited way too long and was too damn stubborn to see what he could've gotten for his trades this year. Probably holding out for a first round draft pick.

ummmm no, watch the whole video they jump into the whole Rick Roll thing halfway through. the whole joke is a pun on Rick Nash. Detroit got "RICK (nash) Rolled" b/c he had a hat trick in their 8-2 win. It was the largest scoring margin of victory this year and the most points we've put up on any team all season, let alone the team standing first overall in all of the NHL. I thought i heard another stat that said Nash had 4 hatties this year, 2 or 3 of which were against Detroit, we've always played great against them especially nash.

Anyone know which channel AMC is on At&t? EDIT: nevermind its 795.
-
I have AT&T and its channel 732. Then again i dont know if they showed it b/c my DVR didnt record it for some reason. But I know FSN showed it on Time Warner. weird. ANYWAY, it was a great game I remember being cautious at the beginning of the 2nd period b/c we were ONLY up by 2 points. Osgood is the weakest link of Detroit. They have the best power play and the best lineup of any NHL team period. Yeah they may give up alot of goals but they also run up the score board on their opponents. I still cant believe we beat them 8-2. Thats rediculous. Hockey writer's/columnists have always said CBJ is built to be a playoff team which is why we have trouble in regular season play. Wouldnt it be awesome to knock Detroit out of the first round of the playoffs? Im getting ahead of myself.

Badass, is it only on HBO or is it out in theaters?
-
Or why you would do so no where near any water?
-
I suggest the Glock. Cant go wrong with them, dead on reliable, easy to fire and very easy to take down and clean. Great gun for a first time gun.But if he's buying it new im kinda surprised it doesnt come with at least 3 magazine's.

Rumor was he got held up in custom's and had a plane delay in Chicago aswell. Should practice with the team tomorow and make his debut in cbus saturday night.
-
yeah I'd be interested to see the amount of 'over qualified' applicants that try to get a job there. My ex use to work there, hours are different (hell its a call center after all, how many call centers do you know only work 9-5?) but the pay is great, she always got OT when she wanted and benefits were great too. Oh and l36tols1 she was definitly part of said eye candy
-
Really?! I looked him up on NHL.com and it said he was a center but everyone knows positions can change. Thats good though we needed a center.

Antropov would've been great but rumors were going around that Brian Burke either wanted too much or Howson wasnt willing to give up anything (hence our young prospects). The key thing to remember in aquiring Vermette (and not Antropov) is that we didnt give up the future in order to make a playoff run this year. We didnt give up any of our core YOUNG guys (Read: Brassard, Voracek, Mayorov, Filatov, Mason etc...) that are going to turn out to be future stars just to get something done this year. Plus we didnt give up anyone currently playing for us, we didnt give up anyone who is helping us win games NOW or anyone who will help us win games in the future. I think it was a good move for Vermette, of course there will be better centers out there but in our position we came out good. Not to mention we unloaded LeClaire's bloated salary and gave ourselves some cap room.
