  3. The turbo car made it out of the garage for the first time last year in september. I replaced the 36 pound injectors with 60's, installed an anderson big pump, added a maf extender, and finally tuned it (First time I ever put a chip in the car) for the first time at 15.5 pounds of boost which the car made 608 rwhp and 660 rwtq. Once the car was tuned I drove it back home and parked it with the cover on it next to the 95 cobra which has not been on the road since 98. One day I will get a wild hair up my ass and get the car out.
  4. It just seemed like the other day I would spend hours and hours in the parking lots talking cars and hanging out with friends. I always thought to myself I would never lose the feeling of wanting to do this. My twin turbo mustang has been sitting since 2004. The motorcycle has been ridden twice this year. I pretty much think of Kenny anytime I consider riding which causes me to leave the bike parked. I am so focused on work that everything else has gone by the waste side. Before I know I will be an old man and not be able to do the things I enjoyed as a young adult. LOL. Sorry for the out of character post. Just sitting here at home tonight which too much time on my hands.

    James, Fortunately I have been very busy even with what is going on with our economy and the competition around me. I am not sure if it was your number or Nathan's. However I do recall seeing a number pop up on my phone who called over and over and did not leave a message. I am sure Gearhead will agree that if he were to stop every time someone calls he would not get a thing done. If I am at home relaxing or out with friends I will be glad to answer my phone. If I am tuning a car I typically let the call go to voicemail or let the customer know that I am tuning and I will talk to them when I am done. I returned 5 phone calls today during lunch time in between appointments. (All in which left voicemails) A customer that is paying $500.00 for a tune does not want me sitting on the phone talking with another customer. I am sorry if you have not been able to get a hold of me. You know where the shop is and know that you can come in when the doors are open. Curtis came by the shop and made his appointment. I even called him today to confirm our appointment for tomorrow. You also are able to leave me a voicemail. If someone calls me 10 times and does not leave a message then I have to wonder how important it is they talk to me. I understand that people like to get a body on the phone instead of leaving a message. If you call me again and I do not answer, Please leave me a message with a number and what your call is regarding so I can call you back. Do not assume your number popped up on my caller id when you leave a message. Thank you in advance!!!!
  16. Its a bit high. Boost will be turned back to the wastegate (430 rwhp) for daily driving. MLS headgaskets and ARP head studs are in place.

  20. I am guessing between 10:00 and 11:00 is when we will get started.
  21. We tore the car down sunday afternoon/evening. Car went together on monday with MLS head gaskets and ARP head studs. Great care was taken to ensure all threads in the block were chased and cleaned with a tap. Heads and block were cleaned to ensure a good seal. Fasteners were checked 2 and 3 times for the correct torque. I am proud of both Alex and myself for the work performed. I do not like doing this kind of work for a living. However I did enjoy doing the work. One thing we found was a oversized dowel in the block around the cylinder where combustion was making it into a water passage. I can not confirm that this was the problem. However this is the cylinder that failed. I spent the day getting the dyno up and running. A CMOS battery going bad caused the dyno computer to crash. You have no idea what a pain in the ass it is to get the winpep and CDS software working in harmony. Goal is to tune the car thrusday morning and head to kilkare. Also a big thanks to Duff and Smuck for their help.
  22. MLS head gaskets and head studs are in place. Found something very interesting when removing the heads.
