  1. I will keep my thoughts to myself and not on a public forum.
  2. Here is the last dyno pull on Matt's car the night he brought it over before doing repairs to the car and adding boost. As you can see I sent the car out with a 11.5 A/F at around 8 psi in the top of the RPM range. To be honest I do not have any text messages from last year. I wiped my phone clean New Years day. I am only going from memory here so I am not going to get in a debate what was said and not said. It seems to me between the boost leaks, exhaust leaks, and a boost controller I remember seeing a text from Matt saying he got the boost as high as 13 psi. What I do remember is telling Matt we need to get the car back on the dyno given the amount of boost increase we were dealing with. He asked me if it was ok to drive it untuned for the increased boost. I explained to him to use caution and drive it easy until we can verify A/F's and timing. With the car making close to 600 wheel horsepower at 8 psi I imagine it had a decent jump in power at 13 psi. Again this is providing that the car did see 13 psi of boost. Lot's of variables here folks. I can not remember the compression of this motor. Between pump gas, 13 psi, and no tuning up at these boost levels it is hard to say what caused the failure. One would think it it would be over 700 wheel going from 8 to 13 psi. The purpose of my post here is not to Slam Matt or make excuses as to why he had lost his engine. If someone cares to share this on the Corvette Forum you have my permission. Matt, If I am going to be tuning your new combo again I want to make sure we have all our "T's" crossed and our "I's" dotted so we can do our best to make sure we do not have another engine failure. We also need to make sure all parties are comfortable as well. Last thing I am going to say here. Let this thread die and come this spring come out and meet some of these people here on the forum. There are number of people who I consider my friend's posting in this thread and are good people. I feel lucky to have a number of them as my friends.
  3. I will be following up here after I get finished.
  4. Lost for words here...................
  5. That might be some good stuff if it has not been used in two years.
  6. Look me up if you come across any latin chicks in need of some white meat send them my way.
  7. I already know who is going to get the most votes.
  8. You are what I would call a good friend.
  9. This..... I am glad to have met you in person Kirk and not just know you as a forum screen name. You rock!!!!
  10. Not much different than the videos of dumb asses doing stupid shit in exotic cars.
  11. He will probably turn it into his insurance and tell them a little old lady backed into him at Church.
  12. Insurance company will probably want a police report. You might want to get one tonight if you want to turn it into insurance. Did she do any damage to personal property?
  13. I would have to agree that the frame is bent. Did you have full coverage on it? Do you have a lein on the truck?
  14. Looks totaled to me given the age of the truck.
  15. I think he may have been a member on CR. Use the search feature and go back several years.
  16. If this is the car that I am thinking of the owner was from Grove City. Randy Barch had done the tuning on it. Joel Howard put a motor in the car. That is all the info I have on it.
  17. Guys and Gals. I have had a number people contact me to tune their vehicles with an X3 they have bought used. Here are some of my thoughts when looking to purchase a used SCT device. 1. First off. SCT dealers do not have the "legal" ability to unlock a SCT device if it is still married to a vehicle. To be "unlocked" and reset to "5 unlocks left" it will need to go to SCT for the cost of $150.00. 2. Although I have never seen it done there are rumors floating around that some people have figured a way to reset the X3 unlocked without going back to SCT. So yes you get a X3 at a reduced cost without having to send it back to SCT for the $150.00 fee. The downside to this is you will not get any support from SCT should the device need repair. 3. All SCT devices are tracked with the serial number found both on the back of the device and in the device info screen. If you are looking to buy a used SCT device I going to encourage you to ask the seller for the serial number so you can call SCT to find out the history of the device. They can tell look up the original dealer who purchased the device along with any repairs or issues with it if it was handled through SCT. If the seller is not willing to give you the serial number chances are there is something they are trying to hide from you. Take the extra time to call SCT with the serial number of device before making the purchase. BUYER BEWARE If you find a X3 that is unlocked with 5 unlocks left and it has never been to SCT to be reset. SCT will not support this device and will want to know where you bought it from. 4. If you are considering the purchase of a SCT device and bringing it to me to tune I encourage you to get in contact with me first before picking up a device. Chances are you will save a little money buying the device from me and it will also be a new device compared to a one where you do not know the history of it. 5. Feel free to ask me any questions that you have.
  18. Looking forward to this going to 100 pages and 30k views.
  19. Those look like the baby NOS solenoids. If that is the case they typically done around 100 hp to the tire regardless of what size jets are in the line.
