  1. Not sure what toyota you were looking at...probably the "Limited" which runs in the 40k range. I got an SR5 with TRD package. Sticker was 36+k. Limited package comes with leather, heated seats, upgraded audio, the works...lot of money for a truck. However Ford's Platinum F150 is around 50k.
  2. Understandable...I have this bike...my right side is a little messed up from previous owner...but mine are cut for sliders and it's a track bike...so, I'm not really looking to buy but if i could get a great deal on them, I'd scoop them up. good luck with the sale.
  3. Let me know if the price keeps dropping on those side pieces.
  4. You're right with the gas mileage. My truck isn't my primary vehicle...which I should have considered in my response...so I didn't mind much. When I got my first truck 4 years ago, I originally started looking at s10's and rangers. I ended up with a dodge 1500. I was so glad I got it. Hauling/towing and just having a big engine was nice. I like the space too. It's like having an SUV that can haul mulch.
  5. I recently purchased a 2010 5.7V8 Tundra DoubleCab 4x4 with TRD package. So far I really like it. I don't haul much nor beat the crap out of it. I was in the market for a better truck and splurged on this since Toyota was offering 0% for 60 months. I'm getting about 14.5-15mpg driving it back and forth to work and running errands. This is according to the on-board MPG tracker. I looked at basically every 1500 except the Titan. Ford and Dodges are rated better. I test drove both and like them very much as well. However, I just like the look of the Tundra the most and the 0% deal seemed best. Plus, the commercials suckered me in I even considered 2500 Dodge diesels...but decided that was too much truck for my needs. This tundra is probably too much truck for my needs The back seat seems like the biggest in the class. The Crewmax has an enormous back seat...but it takes away from bed length...which I didn't want to do. Anyway, I would say go with a 1500...you won't be disappointed...except with the gas mileage.
  6. Today was judgment day...with a 30% chance of rain saturday and a 70% chance of rain sunday...I think I'm out.
  7. Sounds good. I'll prolly make my decision closer to Friday. I'm not wasting money cruising around on a wet track. I did that once last year...
  8. I'm considering one of these days. I'll be watching the forecasts and deciding last minute. I'd be interested in splitting a garage with someone.

  14. yeah. they quit selling it because someone in cleveland was complaining it was unfair. it was a little mean-spirited...but oh well. go lions...kill cryer.
  15. SOLD...thanks to Putty. Rims still available.
  16. The agreed upon price was never 120. it was 113.50. we agreed that paypal was the best payment method. I sent 113.50. then you wanted me to pay more money for the paypal fee. so i canceled the transaction. Was i supposed to guess at the paypal fee to ensure you netted 113.50? anyway, we did go back/forth over txt about this...like 10 times. if you really didnt care, you would've just said "don't worry about the extra $3.50" or whatever the fee was and shipped the camera. Either way, I got my money back.
  17. There are no important football games on Thursday. However, there are two softball games! To be honest...I'd be there if Flounder was going.
  18. You don't know how much traffic was on this road at the time.
  19. 130mph on a back road is better than 147 on an interstate?! I love your reasoning. And if you get caught, I doubt you'd lose your job...or get transferred or get ridiculed in public. Speeding is speeding. I don't know the road conditions on your back road when you did 130 and I don't know the road conditions on the interstate when he was doing 147. And for seeing 1/2 down the road...I'm sure you can see 1/2 on many parts of I70...I'm very familiar with 70, east of Columbus.
  20. Highsmith is the trooper...as stated in previous post. As for the hypocrisy, your exception to driving fast on the interstate proves the hypocrisy. I guess you're judge/jury when it comes to deciding where it's ok to speed. My point...we've all been speeding at inappropriate times and places. And just because he's an officer of the law, I'm sure he still wants to have fun on his bike...just like you...just like me. I got caught speeding on my bike in July. The deputy admitted to me that he speeds all the time. But, he had to ticket me because 22mph over was too much for his liking. He said under 20mph over, he would not have pulled me over. And if we're going to be sticklers for laws...70 in a 65 deserves a ticket too? Let me know what's acceptable to you here as well.
  21. Good news...I got my money back! Also, thanks to McLovin, I got a GoPro camera off Wera!
  22. I saw Jason Highsmith tailgating (USC game). His bike (zx14) is for sale. He said his insurance company dropped him and he can't get insurance elsewhere. He's working out in Marysville. Hopefully he tickets some of the hypocrites on this thread.
