  1. True.. BUT the same and more can be said for bikes. I've seen some fugly guys with hot bitches on the back of their bikes.

Yup. Whenever I took my rocket downtown, random chics would always ask for a ride. If I was sober-I would scold them, and tell them it could be my first day riding, and I could dump the bike and kill them, that they shouldn't be doing this.

If I had a few-I would tell them sure-but we'd better be going back to your place or mine! This shit aint free.

  2. Honestly, girls are attracted to the Hondas because that is all they see in the damn movies.

In my experience, its been because they are slow and comfy. I give girls a ride, and as soon as I would get into boost, I would have cleanup on isle 5 on my fucking seat, or they would just hate me like I beat them or some shit.

  3. could have gotten more power out of 80 cubic inches

I offer this challenge to you-as I did to all of the RX-7 world.

Find ME ONE, just one rotary powered car, making 700+whp(at mild boost) and 500+ft lbs that was in a daily driven car, that was raced every weekend, and never needed a rebuild. to this day, that cheap motor still lives, unopened from the day I built it. It just went 9.30 in an AWD in Connecticut.

Not only did my cheap POS Colt achieve this, but I could give you a nice list of other Daily drivers in the 9's, over 700whp, and many of which that still rock AC! Again, find me ONE rotary powered car that can make this claim, and everyone here wont laugh at you. ;)

  4. looks good

I dunno though.... putting a dsm motor in an rx-7 is possibly the only way to make it more unreliable than it already was ;)

Have you ever owned either car? I have-can stock for stock or modded for modded-the DSM wins out in the reliably arena.

    Impressive piece of fabrication!

I dont agree-its pretty cheap and junkyard looking, but thanks! :D

Whatever happened to the 2JZ 240SX?

That was a shenanigan to try and motivate IPS to back up their (mostly Jeff's) mouth get something done and race me! It, as well as all other attempts. have not work.

  5. Looks like some good progress. Any estimates or is that hush-hush?

Done have any at the moment-not with this turbo set up at least!

You still haven't got your head back? That sucks!

Nope-and this head I put on the car is the shittiest POS that I have pulled from the yard in a while! Crusty burn valves and all...

why 2 turbos? An what turbos are those?

Just because. I have access to China turbos SUPER cheap now, direct from China pricing. These 50 trims have help up on local 400+whp bikes for nearly 2 years of flooging without failure, so at 150-200$ RETAIL (depending on sixe of shipment, I cant go wrong. If it does not work out, I will just put a GT42 back on the car.

I like the cobra wheels. Looks like your doing ALL of the work yourself, +10 street credit.

    Fixed. :)

  6. Why did you have to build the oilpan?

All 4G6X oil pans (even the truck blocks) are forward sump, putting it right were the rack/crossmember are. I had to build the oil pan, and associated pick up tube. Couple that with the oil filter housing I had to build, since the stock stuff did not clear, and I had a 99% custom oiling system, I was not sure was going to work until 2 nights ago!

Wow. The hybrid to end all hybrids.

JP, are you using the stock transmission?

Yesir-funny part being with not one custom part involved. That sole fusion was the main reason I went with an RX-7 over my other considerations- (240sx, Miata, "Old School" 70 something toyota ro datsun)

  7. I wanted to drive and race the pig at the shootout, but it may prove to be to complicated to finish. Even if the car does make it out, dont expect much. It will have 0 miles, and 0 tuning time under its belt. Couple that with a stock HG, stock head studs, and a nasty head out of some junkyard car, and you have an ill performing fusion machine. More pics to come when its done.

  8. Shanton vs Steve- 3 races. I got 20$ on shanton if anyone wants to bet.

Also V8Beast, I will give you 1 car and the hit, n/a vs n/a from a dig for 20$ if you want. Anthony, I will give you 2 cars and the hit, all out from a dig. Let me know..

Just for reference- DSM shootout in Norwalk this weekend. There will be 500 some Evos, DSMs, and other troublemakers patrolling Norwalk and RT-10 Saturday night.

  9. Your team?

I think I've seen that kid you're describing at my gym before.

I think Matt went to Fitworks a few times to try it out. I did as well with a few guys that are regulars up there-but I ended up staying at the Y. If you are interested-I can let you know went he next competition is. You can "roll" with us.

And you never called me last night. :(

  10. hmm your talking about taking chances...

the guy who tried to attempt 200 in a grocery getter box??

I am pretty sure i will outlive you. :)

When is the last time you saw the backside of 200mph in anything that wasn't an airplane?

Life without chance is boring at best, and a boring life is a life wasted.

  11. This was the busa of the 70s and 80 and early 90s. only untill recently wear 600s are 150mph bike did this "fall off the map". The kz900s are actually more sought after d/t the 10lb lighter flywheel

from what ive experienced thus far and what ive read/heard this thing rules in the 1/4mi and from a dig up to 120s

im trying to find a few KZ sites and get a good book

also currently looking at my options...for the winter of course:D

    I know all of this.

I will just tell you-that motor loves boost (if its the roller bearing version). Its on you to make it happen. You could be seeing the backside of 160+++ traps is you wish.

    Good luck.

  12. you are already probably past your prime :p

i have been arching my back like that for about 16 years since i have been benching. also have hit 405 in the gym two different times raw at a 175lb bw, so im pretty sure arching your back when you bench wont hurt you. ;)

Again-IMO its not worth the chance of issues down the line. While I am 60+, retired, and loving life, you "may" be going back to the hospital to see what surgery they can do to help with your deteriorated discs.

I will stick to benching flat back, thanks.
