  2. Go 9.6...and lose.

LOL. Kidding JP. That's sick man. I'd love on of those tuned down a little for a DD. :)

You know, f-ed up part is literally EVERYWHERE besides the US and Canada they sold these in AWD NA and turbo versions?!!?!? None came with 2.0 Turbos though, just 1.6 and 1.8.

I'd love a 1.8t Awd Colt winter beater!

  3. It's stupid in know but I cannot bring myself to tear it apart. It is way too nice to be picked apart...someone with no attachment to it will have to do it, though inthink it is a better idea to rebuild it

Im sure someone here will love it :)

  4. Oh, and a huge +rep for a racing video that gets right to the action without ten minutes of staging BS at the beginning, and for being able to see everything as well.

I for one asked for a 5 minute epic build-up. :dumb:

  5. Last few weeks have been spent back in Mitsubishi land. Had to tune a pile of cars before the DSM shootout, last but not least a fresh tune for El Mirage

Just a mild 2.0L AWD swap in a $50 Mitsu Mirage. Ended up with 620whp out of a 10 year old GT35r in a small .63 turbine on a conservative cam 2 tune. He wanted a "all day long" tune, so I kept it safe

None of the cars I tuned blew up, so I guess I did OK. :) El Mirage went 9.6@149

Matt Step did a killer job with this one.

This car is dirty cheap for its performance ability and really gives me the itch to find yet another Colt and come to the AWD dark side.

And before people say it's a one trick pony, old girl won the MAX EFFORT event-an autocross and drag race with a weighted points average. This car is set up to turn and stop as well as it goes. Its damn near the best budget build I could ever think of. We hope to do some time attack/hot laps with her next season.

  6. Made a few passes Friday night with the boost turned up some. Still ironing out a few things but overall I am very happy with the car. Tune is updated and ready to make a few more test passes Wednesday night hopefully if the weather is nice. This is my personal best et in any car I have driven and shooting for 9.39 the way it sits

    Great Great work!!! well deserved!

  7. Waiting for a final number. I may buy it back to sell it but will do it only as a complete car. I don't have time to piece it out

I think someone on CR will buy or can find you a buyer pretty quickly.

  8. Yes, ask for buy back- post it here+ a few bucks. Buy back is EASY- just your check less buyback=net check.

I am 99$ sure you could get away with fixing that for 2-3k MAX especially since the air bags did not deploy. No subframe-all non OE front end parts, paint, DONE.

  9. I am a manufacturing engineer by training. I currently work developing tooling for an automotive company, which makes parts for GM/Ford/Chrysler and their suppliers.

Ah, I can’t see why you’re so "details oriented" :)

  10. Upper shock

    Mount area looks good .

The problem with "looks good" is insurance companies will always find that loophole if something where to happen down the line. Same reason that they want to replace the LCA, even though it "looks good". There is no way for them to test it, or removal/testing cost more than the new part.

Any issues with the dumb broad that hit you covering expenses? did the fact that she was" on the job" come into play?
