Keeping the update going. Everything that appeared to be leaks have turned out to be residual oil from teardown/assembly.

Every single time i get a "item has shipped" email if i pull up the tracking info it almost never has for another day and sometimes 2 days later. I got over it way back in 2004. .

Everyone gets it. But almost all places do what they do. About the only places that dont is amazon. So just because you get an email that saysbits shipped 90% of the time it was an automated email when they printed the label for the box. You may have bought online before but its a limited amount i can tell. Not trying to be a prick. Just letting you know theyre typical. Seriously.

Obviously youre new to online ordering. This is just how it works 99% of the time. And ive had packages sit for several days in the shippers hub waiting on the estimated delivery date given by the online store when it could of been put on a truck and delivered. Fedex is horrible for this. they act like this is done as a convienence to you so you know what day it will be delivered.

I wonder why you require such a high level of experience for a parts person. When any auto parts store hires anyone without experience. At some point this experienced person had no experience. Think about it.

I hear ya. But what id dont want is it to sit for another 2 months and they fuck it up even more. They will hear about the issues just not in person. I will let yamaha contact them about it. And ill take it to the place i bought from if these turn out to be leaks etc . The rest i already fixed. The old guy that works on bikes where i bought it seems like he would of done a better job. Or at least with more care. In the end we are the only ones who care about our bike. Its just a paycheck to them

I plan on calling yamaha corporate in cali soon. I have pictures of it while it was apart and he didnt bother to clean the outside of the block before he opened it up. There was dirt laying inside the motor visible in the pictures. I was even going to tip the tech if he did a good job. But it looks as though he rushed it at the end for the most part. The bad part is the service manager was on vacation the week they finally worked on it. He gave me the impression he was going to make sure it was done with better quality control. I just knew from past experiences it was going to turn out this way. Thats my luck.

Wanted to add im not super pissed off at them but its a lot of little stuff they didnt take the time to do right. And that is a problem for me. This is why dealers never work on my stuff and i knew this kind of thing was going to happen no matter where i took it to. So much for my trailer fund. I just spent it on an extended warranty.. thanks for having our back yamaha. For piece of mind i had to pay them another $500. Way to build customer loyalty

Well i ended up going to cycle specialties in fairfield. Bike seems fine however i have only rode it 2 miles. Found some things i dont like. Left the engine messy with old oil. So things appear to be leaking. I cleaned it off and keeping an eye on it. Front fairing was not installed correctly. Coolant in radiator was about 20% low ans overflow bottle empty. Oil appears to be leaking from the cooler hose. Oil filter dented from them torqing it so tight with pliers. Tank vent hoses were kinked under tank and not routed properly Tank bolt not tight(finger tight) Scratches on silver radiator line where they pryed the hose off with a screwdriver. Mist of the fairing brackets were bent out of shape. I have no idea how they managed to line up the holes. When i went to put them back on no screw holes lined up on any bracket. And i notice that my shift shaft has excessive amount of play and is soaked/dripping oil. Minor nitpick things but it has me concerened that the engine probably has issues. If they left the tank bilt loose what if they forgot the oil pickup tube? On top of that i dropped it off on dec 28 and they finally finished it a week ago. 2 months! I will not recommend this shop to anyone. Should of went to the shop brian recommended. i have been contacted by a class action lawyer about a suit they have open. They are in california and im too leery of it without being able to meet these people in person.

Yeah my cc doesnt connect without wifi. I have the first version of cc. If you have the new one it may let it your phone connect to it without wifi. Not sure how it works since its not on a network. But mine doesnt work this way

Not sure how youre doing that. Mine only works via wifi. Are you using it as a mirror cast? Thats where your phone screen is mirrored to the tv. Once i start playing something on netflix or hulu for example i can turn my phone off and it keeps playing

I used to use a Western Digital player but it quit working with hulu and it's been almost a year since their last firmware update. they used to update it every few months to add new stuff. seems they don't care anymore. so I bought a google chromecast. works 100 times better. but you need to use a phone or tablet as a remote to stream stuff to it. it doesn't stream through your phone. the phone just controls the app such as netflix or hulu. I also like it because I can cast anything from my phone to it. (videos pictures, + the screen of the phone) the western digital player much like all the other boxes you buy are limited to the apps that maker puts on them. unlike the google chromcast it works with any app you download on your phone. and best of all....it's $35.

ohio's law says 30 days from the day I drop it off until they call with it done. this includes holidays and weekends. I just wish they'd include a little extra time on the warranty for this work. but theyre not offering anything. kind of sucks for a vehicle with only a 12 month warranty standard. I guess I'm going to have to buy that YES warranty after all if they get it fixed in the 30 day window. I'm hoping they run out of parts or the holidays fuck it up..wink wink. haha. thanks for the info about clinton county. that's not too far from me.

Nope. Would of been nice. It needs an extensive teardown and it looks like they're not warranting the work. Waiting to get the notice but it's already online and it doesn't say anything about it having a warranty. If not Ohio lemon law should cover me

ohio's lemon laws are very generous. if it goes back more than x time for the same issue it qualifies. if it's at the dealer more than 30 days, it qualifies, unless he bought it used.

oh and it's not just 2nd gear it's also,3 and 4 the service bulletin was just posted.
