the western hills shop where he works is not a certified shop to do the work. they have to have a YTA gold motorsports technician working there. only the other location does. I used yamaha's site to locate one. there are other shops. one in dayton and one in wilmington.

I do plan on it. but will get the recall done anyway. will seek lemon law. can't ride it so the 30 days should be easy and then there's the fact this recall will definitely hurt it's value. I just want rid of this one for a new one or my money back.

and from what i've seen the car has to be be pretty damn nice (and running) and under a certain age for anyplace to accept it for donation. pretty damn picky for a free car.

my 2015 R1 has a serious recall on the transmission. which will require engine splitting. so I need to find a really good mechanic to do the work. yamaha is only allowing their Master Techs to perform the work. the problem is only 1 dealer in cincinnati is a certified shop with one. the problem...it's frigging cycle specialties. who are not known for their quality work from what I hear. if you guys know of a yamaha mechanic please share. I'm willing to drive as far north as columbus.

I do have that the balancer and it's straight as an arrow. I bought it a long time ago probably before they started having issues. finding a straight rod is easy though. for me at least. I work in a machine shop. I could use drill rod if I wanted to. that's very straight and a lot stronger than some cheap hot roll steel

unless you own a store and can prove to me what you pay for it and what you sell it for (what they tell you to) then you know nothing about what the markup is. when the brewery puts it in a bottle its a 300% markup on a 6pack at a store. that's what the documentary was saying. it was a business documentary not about beer. I think the brewery sets the prices not the stores.

I know a good programmer but he lives in dayton. I'm too new to using powershape to apply anywhere. but I can operate and setup cnc routers and cnc machines. a little lathe and mill work. still too new to be hired anywhere else. we just do more wood stuff than metal which is why I am looking for a new job. I thought HF quit selling the tire changer? anyway there was a site that made delrin rim clamps for it and you can buy the no mar mount bar. I have a changer I got from ebay that kind of looks like the HF changer but it's a little different. and it will fuck up rims too. I made some plastic clamp protectors which work but it also allows the rim to spin in them too easy. so it makes changes without someone to help hold the rim almost impossible. but I don't have scratched up rims. I want the no mar changer instead. unless I can come up with something better to hold the rim. but would I go back to spoons...HELL NO. haha the bead breaker alone is worth the price of the changer.
