  1. I've never been interested in NASCAR before, but that might be interesting. Looks like it's the weekend of MotoGP in Indy though, so unless something really weird happens, I'm already committed for that weekend. At the very least I'm glad that Mid-O might have an event that could rekindle interest in the track and (maybe) help out the AMA attedance.
  2. I'm here for the gangbang.
  3. Not my cup of tea, but it's a pretty neat idea.
  4. The VFR1200 has always had those. I think the only things new for '13 are color options. Definitely agree with you on the current VFR. Too big, too heavy, too complicated, and way too ugly.
  5. The Gen. 1 FZ1 is the best all-around bike I've ever owned or ridden. I completely understand your comment about taking off on it anywhere at a moment's notice, and it's good to hear that you're so happy. Your comments on the suspension have me thinking that I should go that route as well. It's been on my list for a few years now, just haven't gotten around to it.
  6. Good news for sure. Will definitely be going again this year.
  7. That CBR500R looks really nice and is priced pretty well. I'm glad the big 4 are re-focusing on bikes to get newer riders into the fold. On a related note, they also released the '13 CBR600RR. Love the new wheels, but the front end leaves a lot to be desired.
  8. Back home after ~270 miles in some excellent weather. Was a little cool and damp at the beginning, but turned out to be a perfect day to get a ride in. 555 was in decent shape, and other than the most Amish buggies I've ever seen on 241, the traffic was light and the riding was good. Thanks to everyone who made it out. If we don't get any more good weekends, hopefully this can help hold us over until Spring.
  9. Sorry to hear, Jerry. Tomorrow is looking pretty nice too, so if you're up for a shorter local-ish ride, just shoot me a PM.
  10. Looks like some early morning showers rolled through, but should be clear and pretty nice the rest of the day.
  11. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you. I'm sure you'll really like the i5 - my wife is still really enjoying hers, and it's a great phone. I'm still happy with my S3 and thankfully haven't had any issues. Android requries some tweaking, but I like tinkering with things, so it's a good fit for me.
  12. You sure you're not getting 'sick'? Would probably be best to stay home from work...
  13. Well, the forecast for Saturday is still looking good, so I'm going to post this up. My guess is that the chance of us getting more weekends with 60+ degree temps is pretty low, so I want to get in one final decent ride to close out the season. Here is the route I was planning: Link to Google Maps Meet at the Speedway on 83 in Millersburg by 10:45, with wheels up at 11:00. This route isn't terribly long and should put us back into Millersburg by 3:00 so everyone should be able to be home before dark, but is still enjoyable enough to make the trip South worthwhile, IMO. I am planning a conservative pace for this ride. The roads will be cold and I'd really prefer to end the season on a high note, so I'm going to be taking it easy, especially on 555 which can be dirty at times. In general I plan on 70ish in the straights and conservative in the corners. I will pass on a double yellow if I feel it's safe. The most important thing is to ride your own ride - we will wait at all stops for the group. Likewise if there are folks that want to go faster, they can feel free to do so.
  14. Working this Friday I do plan on riding Saturday (and possibly Sunday) as long as the forecast holds out.
  15. My wife has one of the Gen 3 iPad's and it's very nice (especially the screen res.), although a little too large for my tastes. I had considered an iPad mini, but wound up picking up a Nexus 7 16GB when the price dropped to $199 last week and have been really pleased so far. I like the slightly smaller form factor, and the Android OS is very nice. I recommend checking it out as a possible alternative based purely on the cost savings, but if you prefer the Apple, I think the Mini would get my vote.
  16. I'll think about Sunday, but only if the temps are closer to 50. I'll putt around town above 40, but I'm not interested in being more than about 10 minutes away from a really hot shower in those conditions.
  17. That's really great to hear the progress your brother is making. You and your family continue to be in our thoughts, and we hope for continued progress.
  18. I'm really happy with my decision. I've had my GS3 for a couple weeks now and still really enjoy using it. Even without rooting (which I haven't done yet) the options for customization over iOS are nice, and I really like the larger screen. Also, I was able to grab a 32GB micro-SD card from Amazon really cheap last week and got some good quality micro-USB cables for charging for less than $5 from monoprice, so I'm pretty set on accessories at this point.
  19. I've worn an HJC RPS-10 for the last several years and have really enjoyed it. Mine isn't a carbon, but it's very light, and the shape fits my head well. The base RPS-10 is also very affordable compared to some of the other lightweight options. Fortunately I haven't had to crash test it, but overall I've been pretty happy.
  20. Would definitely be interesting to try - you can be our guinea pig Also, that VFR looks fantastic. I've always been a fan of orange, and that particular shade looks really good.
  21. Bah, I had last Friday off, but will be at work this week and won't be able to make it. Hopefully the nice weather holds out for you.
  22. We need to get Nivin some Guy Martin decals for the Viffer.
  23. Well, after playing with one in-store, I picked up a GS3 tonight and am currently familiarizing myself with the OS and getting all my info transferred. So far I really like the larger form factor and it is indeed a snappy device. I'll report back as I continue to use it, but so far I'm pretty pleased.
  24. Thanks again, everyone. The specs on the Note 2 look pretty killer, but it's just too large for what I'm looking for. I think the S3 would be about as large as I would like, but I need to play with one in person to confirm. I'm going to run down to the local store and see if they have any working display models I can try out.
