  1. I went to the range with a buddy from work yesterday for the first time in about 20 years. I'd had a Ruger 9mm that was given to me by my dad several years ago, but hadn't fired it since I was a teenager and wanted to re-familiarize myself with the basics. Put about 100 rounds through it and had a great time and am looking forward to going back soon. I'm starting to get a much better idea of why you gun-toting lunatics like this so much
  2. Going to be out of town for another damn wedding It always amazes me that people think that I'm interested in listening to bad DJ's and eating cheap prime rib when I could be out riding.
  3. Very nice. That bike is definitely on my 'must own at some point' list. I'm starting to think that the only real requirement to be part of OR are being a gun-toting lunatic and/or owning a 675R.

    22LR Rounds

I just grabbed some basic Winchester to go the range later this week, but I think they had some Federal in stock as well. The Winchester was ~$25 for a box of 100.

I just grabbed a couple of boxes of 9mm from the Walmart in Wadsworth. The shelves were pretty bare, but they still had a couple dozen boxes left.
  6. I have one of the Tourmaster 2 piece rain suits. I used mine last year for about 5 hours of pouring rain through the mountains of WV/TN/NC and stayed completely dry. Fairly compact and not too expensive. It's not breathable, so I wouldn't want to wear it on a really hot day (or when dry), but I didn't have any issues while it was raining. TourMaster Defender
  7. I thought this was what we did already? If not, Pauly's going to be awfully disappointed that those previous sexual favors didn't count towards anything.
  8. I thought this was a gun forum with some people that occasionally ride motorcycles?
  9. As long as I'm in town (and the weather looks reasonable) count me in for the scouting ride too.
  10. I saw that the other day on the R1 forum. Glad to see a vendor that has a sense of humor.
  11. H4wtness. I've always loved Arrow pipes.
  12. Triumph Daytona 675 for the sportier end, FZ6 or Street Triple for the more touring-oriented end. I do like the R6, but the 675 is worth it for the noise alone.
  13. You can definitely mix and match the 2-peice suit sizes. I have a size 48-Tall pair of A*'s track pants that I've worn with both size 52 and size 54 jackets that have 360 degree zippers. No issues with either combination.
  14. When Motorcycle-superstore has a sale or a coupon available, their prices are usually pretty good. They have 10% coupons floating around pretty much all the time. Also, the new Bridgestone T30's should be out pretty soon - initial reviews are pretty positive, just in case you're willing to wait a month or so.
  15. The one in 2011 was a lot of fun. I didn't make it last year, but heard it was even better. Unless something really unforeseen comes up, I will be there this year. Gotta get one crazy giant ride in before the Doc moves away
  16. Very nice. I'm a huge advocate of using these while riding to stay hydrated. It really cuts down on the physical and mental fatigue, especially during the really hot summer months. With the gas stops we usually do (~100 miles) getting rid of the extra water isn't too much of an inconvenience either.
  17. Iron Pony had the Alpinestars tech tops on super closeout recently. I grabbed one and it works really well with my leathers. Looks like they still have some. Here's a link
  18. Although it is perforated, I wouldn't classify it as a 'summer' jacket unfortunately. I was always comfortable in it riding into the mid ~ upper 70's, but it doesn't really have the ventilation for the 80 ~ 90 degree days. That's pretty typical of most leather jackets though. On those days I would typically wear my Stage jacket which has a bit more perforation, unless I got roped into one of UP's mach retard pace rides, in which case I would wear this for the better armor and just be hot. Here's a sizing chart as a reference.
  19. I'm free in the evenings, pretty much anytime after 6:00 this week. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want to meet up somewhere in Akron.
