  1. Looks like they finally confirmed that MotoGP will race at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin the weekend of April 19th ~ 21st. Link to Article After checking out the track layout, I'm really excited about this race and am interested in checking out the GP someplace new. Will be interested to see how F1 works out, but I think I'm going to try and make this one. Hotel rooms are still pretty reasonable, so I booked a couple fully refundable nights. Hopefully I'll be able to make it!
  2. Wish I could make this one, but I'll be working. Have fun, Doc. Maybe we'll get lucky and have another decent weekend or two before the month's up.
  3. Anonymity makes people do strange things. I try to be reasonably careful with my online communication, since once something is out there, it's out there forever. I'm not really very confrontational in person either, though and I feel like my online 'persona' is pretty similar to my actual personality.
  4. +1 With the decline in motorcycle ownership among younger folks, what we need are some really great, affordable, unintimidating bikes to bring more folks into the fold (new Ninja 300 is a great example).
  5. Link to Full Article I would love to see this in a middleweight (or liter+!) sportbike and/or naked bike from Yamaha. I loved the engine in my old Speed Triple and I can only imagine that character blended with that of the I4 crossplane in my R1. Hopefully this makes it into something in the market soon.
  6. Same here. I get at least one everytime I've tried to sell a bike on CR. Most people recognize that it is a scam, but if they send it out to enough someone is bound to fall for it eventually.
  7. New chain/sprockets for the 916 and possibly a new clutch. Possibly some suspension work to the R1.
  8. Your garage is very similar to what I picture heaven might be like.
  9. Just checked that route out a map - looks like a winner to me. You could easily make that a heck of a great 2-night trip (Ohio --> Harrisonburg --> Summersville or Charleston --> Home) and keep the distances to around 300 miles a day. You'd even be close enough to get on VA/WV-311 on the way to Charleston, which I would definitely recommend while in the area.
  10. I would definitely be up for a multi-day WV trip. Everytime I've ridden down there it's been great. I won't promise I could keep up, but I can read a map and make it to whatever the final meet spot might be. Inya, have you looked at a set of Helibars for the ZX-10R? They made my R1 good for pretty much all day riding.
  11. The Southern part of WV 16 is one of the best roads I've ever been on, and goes all the way down into Virginia and North Carolina. It was raining pretty hard when we were down there so we couldn't go very quick, but I still had a great time. The Northern part that I rode with Tony earlier this year was also really good.
  12. I'm in for one as well, just shoot me a PM with the details. Really sorry to hear about your brother - regardless of the raffle your family will be in our thoughts.

    iPhone 5

My wife and I were able to pick up a 5 for her at one of the local AT&T stores this morning. Walked in at about 10:00 and grabbed the last one - talk about luck. So far I really like it - the new form factor feels good and the phone itself is very quick. The biggest improvement is definitely the LTE - it's really fast in our area. I'm still not sure that I'm going to upgrade anytime soon as I'm still happy with my 4 (wife liked hers as well, but it was having some malfunctions), but I'll see how my wife likes hers over the next few weeks.
  14. I've been going for 12 years now, and will be gutted if Mid-O falls off the schedule, but as others have said, it's not surprising. The gradeur of the event has really gone downhill since the mid 00's, and I swear I saw more manufacturer support at the last WERA/AHRMA race I went to (not really, but close). For people who aren't die-hard race fans there's really not that much incentive to go. Truly unfortunate since it's such a great place to watch a race and is so close to home.
  15. Installed it today over wireless at work - no issues so far. I like the new Maps app, just sorry that I won't be able to get the turn-by-turn directions on my 4.
  16. Man, this is looking to be a great event. Unfortanately unless my sister-in-law changes the date of her wedding sometime in the next 2 weeks, I won't be able to make it
  17. All that ridiculous power is the only way I can keep up with Pauly on his air-cooled Eye-talian tractor.
  18. The section of 555 that we were on was the best I've ever seen it. The pavement was in good shape, and other than a couple of the first corners, it was really clean. The rest of the roads were great too, and the surface on 83 was in much better shape (less slippery residue) than the last time I was on it with you and Dave. Seriously. We should find out who that was and offer them a job as our support vehicle for future rides.
  19. My wife made these last night and they were amazing.
  20. Back home after a spectacularly good ride. Perfect weather, basically perfect pavement, and a really nice pace. Nice to meet some new folks and good to see the rest of you again.
  21. Gonna be a chilly start, but looking like a great day otherwise.
  22. Good deal. I'll plan on being in Millersburg @ 10:00 ready to roll when you guys arrive.
  23. I'm definitely interested in getting out sometime this weekend, and since I haven't been on the bike much in the last couple months, a slower pace would be welcome. Either day is fine with me - Is Sunday @ 9:00 the final plan? I would probably meet you guys somewhere further South, maybe in Millersburg (probably ~10:00ish?). Just let me know and I'll adjust accordingly.
