Just got back, that was a very nice ride. Sorry about having to bail a little early on you guys, hope you enjoyed the rest of the ride. I wound up hitting 524 (which was pretty good) and then heading North from there. We'll have to get in a longer ride South sometime soon.

Looks like I won't be able to make it. I was able to get out and ride OH-164 today. Was in good shape without any sections that I noticed a problem with gravel or anything. We did see someone at the intersection of 212 & 39 that looked like they had a bad wreck - the EMTs and police were on the scene when we passed by and it didn't look good - hopefully no one from here. You guys have fun & be safe.

Something similar to This. I've come back from Columbus this way a couple of times and it's a pretty enjoyable ride. Not too many twisties, but some pretty nice roads, especially through Mohican. Another nice thing is that you're never more than ~10 miles from I71, so if you decide you need to make some time you can just jump on there and go.

That looks like a really fun way to get down there. The ride down through Mohican and over to 42 is pretty nice, if you're looking for a slightly quicker route.

I wonder if the ER can refuse to admit people based on stupidity...

I can vouch for the Southern route into West Virginia. The area around Summersville/New River Gorge are absolutely beautiful and have some fantastic roads. OH-800 down to the river over to WV-7 will take you into Morgantown and is a great ride and would make a nice place to grab some lunch. From there you can find any number of state roads down further South.

There are some really nice shots on there - I uploaded a couple as well. Fox, I had trouble uploading any files that had spaces in the filenames. One I removed them it worked ok. Nice shot, btw.

Fantastic bike. I love my FZ1 more than I could ever love a child. I can personally vouch for the LSL sliders. When I went down on the S3 last year they did a damn good job of protecting the important bits.

Sub-7 minute time is insane, especially for that class of car. Awesome video.

Looking / sounding good. There's nothing quite like having a dyno-tuned bike. Looking forward to seeing it myself on some rides this summer.

Canon 40D + 50mm f1.4 - I use this combo probably 90% of the time for general shooting. Thanks for the kind words guys, the S3 has been a heck of a bike.

Some updated pics of the newly-repaired S3, now with more loudness: I need to get this thing out to a decent background for a real photo shoot (or at least remember to put the side stand up).

I love the 09 R1's for some reason, particularly the yellow ones. I must have stared at the one that Yamaha had at the Indy MotoGP for a good 15 minutes. Both Akra and Leo make some really nice pipes for that bike.

OH-800 North from Woodsfield is an awesome road. It's a great way to get back home after coming up the nice part of OH-26. OH-164 isn't as nice as some of the roads further South, but it makes a nice 3-hour loop from Akron.

Yamaha's marketing machine has been pumping out some pretty funny stuff recently. They've still got a ways to go to top the 'Day at the Office' one though.

*SOLD!* For sale are a set of size 46/56 Teknic Chicane 1-Piece leathers in black. These leathers are in pretty rough shape. I used them for mini-bike racing several years back and crashed in them a few times. The leather is scuffed in several places, but is structurally fine. The largest area of concern is the popped outer stitching (inner stitching still fine) in the seat. It could be repaired relatively easily by a leather-working shop, but I've never taken the time to do it. As for the fit, I'm ~6'2" and ~160 lbs. The length was right, but it was a bit loose around the midsection. These won't win you any beauty contests, but will offer good protection on the cheap and a little additional investment in basic repairs. Price: SOLD I also have a Teknic back protector for sale. This is basically new, and completely undamaged, and fits with a stretch band around the stomach/midsection.
