Good luck. $1500 for a 250 is insanely crazy. I wouldn't ride if it cost me that much. I pay $1000/year for a fully covered BMW and my ZX10.

I'm pissed I missed that demo ride. I would have dropped everything to ride the Vmax. No one believes (at least I don't) there was 'suppression' going on. My point , and the reason I titled it as such, is that people tend to focus on what floats their point or gets their panties in a bunch. 9 times out of 10, a Dem is not going to post a story about a fellow Dem that makes them look bad. Same goes both ways. There are very few people who ride (or post) in the middle. The threads speak for themselves. i am sometimes guilty of this myself, although I typically refrain from starting Political threads. If I hadn't been living in this country the past year or been following the news, I would think Obama is the anti-christ (Insert joke here) just by looking at the critical threads. Has Obama done ANYTHING right? I find it hard to believe that he's fucked up every decision he's made. I'm using Obama as an example...it could easily be GM, Ford or Bikes. So I don't believe man Republicans/Conservatives would have posted that link...EVEN if they detested Bush/Cheney. That's all I'm saying. It's human nature. I don't want you or anyone to think I'm attacking the 'integrity' (does that exist on OR?) of any 'group' on here...but let's be real about it. So that's where I was coming from..and I think that now we understand each other, it's time to spoon.

$1500/year for a 250? Where do you live, Baghdad?

Do you have the Muzzy M10? I didn't know they had a MP10. Typo? If so, I had the same exhaust..same setup on an 06. I think I got the same result too! I'll have to dig up my chart. Niiiice! Did you ever get the calipers and MC swapped?

I see life on OR has returned to normal.

had that happen to me YEARS ago in college...right outside my apartment. Sucks. I haven't carried CD's for years. If my head unit won't play mp3's or use an iPod as a source, then it doesn't get bought. Was your case in plain sight? If so, lesson learned. Sorry to hear about the break in.

Nope. That Ohio sign on the border might as well be a stop sign. I hear you. I was only about 15 miles into the trip too. Funny thing is, the van I was following was driving faster than me. I usually look for a 'rabbit' as I like to call them. Someone in a bigger hurry than me and stay behind them..but far enough away that they don't think I'm following them. it just so happened I was trying to get around a cluster of cars and the cop was right in front of it. Now I know why there was a cluster of cars!! LOL

Yeah no doubt! I'm like, did he just tell me to keep it 10 over the speed limit?!? And then right before he leaves..he says..I'll be doing 85..just don't pass me. LOL He also did warn me that there were a lot of cops on the road today. The fact that my license was clean, I was clean, and I pulled over probably started the encounter off on the right foot. The guy was cool..younger guy..probably younger than me. I almost asked him for his business card, but I didn't want to see too ghey.

OH DAMMIT I wish I had saw this earlier..I would have got down there in the AM before heading to MI. Thanks for the info Tod.

hookers and blow? what's not to like?

Doesn't apply to my bike..but interesting. I got my very first ticket in Rocky River when I moved to Ohio. I still hold a grudge.

I'm a tool for doing 100 on I75, but the speed limit in Michigan in 70 and everyone drives likes it's 80. I was actually following a van going faster than me, but I decided to go around because my superior traffic detection radar was going off. Unfortunately, my superior cop detection radar must have been broken yesterday. The whole ride I was looking for police cars..and forgot about the bikes. Whoops. I saw the bike ahead of me, and thought it was a standard Harley. Passed by it without even looking at it (we were two lanes apart on a 4 lane highway). Well, a few miles down the road..I'm probably doing 90-100...I hear the 'whoop whoop' right behind me. Scared the shit outta me! I pulled over...not gonna run from him..too much to lose. He reads me the riot act..and I just told him the truth...I had a long ride ahead of me and I was ROLLLLLLIN. He asks if I have any warrants (lol)...insurance...endorsement..no to the first and yes to everything else. So we start chopping it up while he is deciding whether or not to take my license and impound the bike. Come to find out...he rides a sport bike (I think in my head YES!!!! There's my IN) So we start talking about tires....bikes..etc...and he mentions that the only reason he tried to pull me over was he got close enough to read my plate. If I had run he wouldn't have bothered. Then he points to his harley and says "This thing is a dog". (chuckle) He gives me a warning..tells me that I should know better rolling through MI with Ohio plates like that. I tell him I grew up in MI and I know how it goes. He says yeah, they ticket us, so we ticket them (lol). He tells me to keep it at 80 and pulls off. That's twice in a row I've been pulled over by cops who ride sport bikes and let go. So to those of you who say all cops are dicks, you should rethink that. Now, I realize I'm pretty damn lucky. If it had been any other cop, 95% chance I'm getting reckless op and my license taken...especially with out of state plates.

This is where you attack the source of the news. We all know fox news is biased...hell MOST sources have some sort of bias whether it's blatantly in your face or behind the scenes censoring. Unless your fox news statement was covering something unrelated to this thread...I don't see what is has to do with the story. The gas companies are evil...Bush was evil..doesn't have much to do with the premium I put in my bike. The OP was about discussing the allegations against the CIA and Cheney...not about fox news. Whether you agree that it was worth breaking the law, or you think they're evil doers bent on bringing hell to earth..I posted the link for discussion, not for dissection of the source. My comment about 'I'm not surprised' was based on two things. One, people tend to complain/post/thread crap when things aren't going their way. That's human nature. For example, take a look at any forum related to electronics...cars..etc..where there is a review/rating system in place or people crying out for help. It's rare that someone posts a good experience with a product..or a review...or actually coming back after someone helped them fix something and say 'Hey, that worked'. It happens..but not as often as the people who come to bitch, cry, moan, ask for help and then disappear. I could post a nice little screen shot of the topics in the Politics forum that will show you the majority of threads are people moaning about the current administration. But you know what? THAT'S OK. That's why I live in this country. That's what this place is for. But, at the same time, I'm not surprised it didn't get mentioned for two things. One, the stuff I just mentioned, and two..the friggin Meet and Greet. I had expected most folks to be in CBus shoving burnt flesh in their mouths. Again, let me recap. I don't care if you're conservative...liberal...asswhole-ish..whatever. The post wasn't an attack on conservatives like you make it out to be...or an attack on the Bush administration. It was NEWS. You're making something out of nothing. The Foxnews link, again, was the FIRST link out of many that my news agrregator happened to display. I grabbed it, and didn't care if it was msnbc, cnn, etc. There was no bias spin in the article..it was all based on news/quotes/etc pulled from the wire. People are getting mighty sensitive these days.

My post had nothing to do with Obama...but since I'm obviously not anti-Obama, my OP must have been some sort of subliminal attack on conservatives. This is the best I could do on short notice: http://www.antiobama.net/

No one was trying to offend....and you can find this story on every single news 'source' on the web. Foxnews just happened to be the first one I came across. So..I guess if the news doesn't work for you, it must not be news? How is an ex vice-president allegedly...in cahoots with the CIA..hiding programs and breaking the law NOT news? There are a million 'conservative' links to news stories being made, and a link to an article about Cheney possibly breaking the law isn't news worthy? If it was msnbc or abcnews the cry would be...baah humbug, they are biased for the Dems...now the cry is foxnews sucks. Yeah..they all suck, but the source has NOTHING to do with this article. It's based on easily verifiable information, and ALL news sources are reporting the same 'allegations'. I'll go troll the net and see if I can find something better suited for an actual news story.

Not complaining!! I would ride it any day of the week to avoid the traffic in Zanesville.

666 would be a GREAT route if it was resurfaced. It's fast...with enough elevation changes and turns to keep you happy..but the road surface sucks balls. I would still ride it any chance I had...I just see the potential it has. Thanks for the introduction!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. Then again....no I'm not. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/12/democrats-probe-canceled-cia-program-reviewed-congress/

+1. Don't fuck with the PS3. As far as NK goes...they are just trying to get attention and concessions. Starting a war with them would hurt us more than them. Leave them alone until they actually attack us. Right now, they are TRYING to provoke a fight. Don't give them what they want.
