  1. But where would it end? If the powers that be found out the true lethality of shotguns, I'm sure they'd see the ban hammer too. Look at the number of crimes committed with semi-automatic rifles vs every other firearm. You'll see, a stupid small percentage comes to light.
  2. B Why not plan for the worst? We all have insurance, why not add a little physical insurance?

  5. Only one magical rifle exists, and that is the M24. It can be fired without manipulating the trigger If you don't know, it's not as funny.
  6. True, but I hate the word "accident". Church it up all you want, and idiot is an idiot. And being horribly negligent, can't be considered an accident.
  7. Someone still pulled a trigger, and it had to be loaded. Thus negligence, not an accident. Noun Failure to take proper care in doing something. Failure to use reasonable care, resulting in damage or injury to another.
  8. Hog huntin with M1A's is very much a sport. So is keeping drug runners off your ranch in southern Texas.
  9. Tim stole my idea..........we may be distant relatives.
  10. No such thing as a gun "accident". Negligent discharge yes, but no accident. Inanimate objects don't spring to life and do as they please. As far as Mr.Tilley's question as to who can have firearms. I'm actually open to this. Far too often I see many "new" firearm owners grabbing AR's, AK's, FAL's etc.... Given the fact, most of the persons buying these firearms have no experience with them, it does present a small issue IMO. I hate to say it, but a valid form of training would be an excellent idea. It's something that both sides could agree upon, and be a very useful tool to the general public. Call it a "Firearms Awareness Course" kind of like driver's education with guns. I'll admit, there's a bunch of oxygen thieves in the world that probably should not own anything larger than a .22. Just my opinion, and the views expressed in this are mine. Thank you.
  11. The word "assault rifle" was dubbed from the German STG 44 or sturmgewehr which meant "storm rifle" thus coined into "assault rifle". I despise the use of such word, when magazine fed, gas operated, semi-automatic rifle works just fine.
  12. Buy AR's, more M1A's and FAL's on the shelf for me I go to the Cheaper than Dirt Guns store just north of me here. They usually are stocked along the walls in the store, but I have a feeling it'll be a cluster fuck right now. The demand is almost getting out of hand. Thanks again to those that voted for Obama.
  13. I'd have helicopters, for the sky is an open highway.

  15. The notion of securing schools to me is not a bad idea. Kids are there to learn, not to be free to roam. Lessons should have been leaned from previous events, but as it seems all to forgotten. Schools may need to be treated like Federal Buildings. After Oklahoma City, things changed. I think it's time for schools to become proactive and take responsibility for their students.
  16. As shown, evil exists. There's no clear cut solution to this tragedy. It was a plain and simple evil act, by an evil person. All that can be done for the future, is to stay vigilant, and prepare for those kinds of evil. We should all pray nothing like this happens again, especially those defenseless and innocent children. This should be a call to family and religion, and not time for political sewage.
  17. Imagine a world without unions........
