  1. If we use current market value and math: PMAG = $50/each (let's keep it fair) 62 grain green tip (no 55 grain is green tip) = $0.75/round (average) LMT Defender 2000 = $2000 (Pre-Gun grab $1,200) $375 - Ammo $500 - Mags $2000 - Rifle So that's $2875 if he wanted to go that high, theoretically. He's easily sell at $2500. It's tax season, take someone's refund.
  2. High end rifles aka H&K's, LWRC's, LMT's, POF's are all fetching super too dollar. If a bushmaster is selling at over $1500, you can damn sure get north of $2K for an LMT. My LMT MRP's ran me $1600 each.
  3. Would this be the LMT MRP? An MRP used to retail for $1600+, but can easily fetch north of $3K at the moment. The standard Defender 2000 (no MRP) should still fetch close to if not more than $2K. If you really need to get rid of it, don't settle for low ball offers. It's a high demand, high quality rifle. MRP w/ ammo = $3500 to $3750 Defender 2000 w/ ammo = $2500 That should be a very fair market price at the moment. It's not a Bushmaster you're selling.
  4. I've seen $700+ on Texas gun trader. Glad you finally found one, it's slim pickins here.
  5. Buy a TJ. With that said, what's the end goal for the Jeep? Is this a daily driver? Weekend toy? Rock crawler? Mall crawler? Do yourself a favor and go with the 4.0 I6. If you end up lifting it (and you will), gearing will be about all you'll need to do if running a larger tire.
  6. One of the better videos I've seen in a while.
  7. "Assault weapons used by military, law enforcement, and retired law enforcement" So what makes retired law enforcement so special? Just curious as to why they receive a special amendment to her "legislation".
  8. Yup. It's their newest carrier they came out with a year or so ago. http://specopstech.com/osc/product_info.php?products_id=2011 Expect to wait a bit, for they're in high demand overseas. There's a company called specialforces gear (or something close) that is a distributor too.

  10. Check out SO-tech. I rocked one in Trashcanistan, I ran the Callahan. Their new Viper is almost perfect for running a gun on the belt with mags. The Eagle CIRAS is comfortable, but bulky by comparison to others. It's all personal preference, but I prefer a basic set up for rifle kit, first aid, misc crap pouch. I ran all my pistol crap to my belt. Lack of side plates made drawing your sidearm 10 fold better.
  11. My semi-automatic rifles are worth more than $2,000 each.
  12. I'll bring this up, you can't say you support the 2nd Amendment, and add a "But XXX firearm or XXXXX rifle" into the mix. I saw no specifications on, The Right to Bear Arms.
  13. Weight of a bumper and winch will run you north of 250lbs. Check out Bronco graveyard for some goodies. I'd personally run a 10K winch, but you could get away with an 8K. Synthetic line will be lighter than a cable winch, but I'm still a cable fan. Being that it has the I-beam suspension, stick to a 4" and 33's. I-beams are already fun enough to get a good alignment on. Suspension lift is your call, but look into swapping in some Bilstein 5100's if you want a nicer ride. Stick away from the bead locks, most tire shops won't touch those things. Unless you're super serious about running this thing on the trail, don't do the bead locks.
  14. As much as I loved my 00 Ram, it started showing its age last year before I got rid of it. If you get a 5.9 Magnum, get rid of the "beer keg" manifold. Mine started leaking before I got rid of it. As Berto said, ball joints and tie rods will go bad (like every other truck), but a little faster than the others. Switch to Moog ball joints/tie rods and fix it right away. Never had any issue with the transmission, other than a $12 sensor. With a Dana 44 front and a 9.25" rear, the axles are usually solid. Again, with over 100K, it may toss a bearing or 2 in the rear end like mine did. I wish I still had my old Ram as a knock around truck. I never had any major issues with it, besides 10 MPG, but it's a truck.
  15. Exactly, they can not see your transactions. What this lady is leaving out is the possibility there was a fraud alert on her card. A large purchase usually will send up a flag, especially if she doesn't make too many large purchases. The girlfriend is a personal banker with BoA, there is no such "blocking" of sales with firearms or ammo. The woman bought my Ruger for Christmas with her BoA card........ Nothing to get jimmies rustled about.
  16. $90 is fair given the fact, you can't find them anywhere but gun shows.
  17. Local guy here off a gun forum I'm on. His prices tend to increase by the day though. One week the mags are $30, then the next they're $50+.
  18. Can't even get a 10-round box mag at the moment. I just bought some 30 rounders for $35/ea.
  19. Cabela's, cheaper than dirt, Bass Pro.....in store locations. (In Texas of course)
