  1. There's a reason for it. Some light is starting to be shed on the Delta community from the past missions such as Panama to the beginning of Afghanistan in 01'. If everyone knew, then the covert factor went out the door, along with costing lives. They tend to thrive on being out numbered, which doesn't mean a whole lot. As amazing as our precision weapons are, satellites, UAV's and what not, you still need those sneaky men on the ground. The SF compound @ FT.Bragg is locked down tighter than a tick's ass. Funny thing is, bits and pieces from the show The Unit, were loosely based on real world operations.
  2. No doubt they're monsters with the right tire. They define a great bolt on car, but after seeing some of the new 5.0's with bolt ons, it makes you second guess the GT500 and the price tag that follows. I'm still shocked a 2.9 Whipple 2011 GT is clicking off 9's.
  3. Conventional forces IE Regular Army and Marine Corps are not on ground. But yes, the Special Operations community is probably conducting operations at the moment. There is no call for direct action on the ground. The US Army has its hands tied up at the moment, so the Marine Corps would probably be the best available asset to assist at the moment.
  4. The Lamborghini market seems a bit risky to undertake. What are these shops using to tune these cars?
  5. But in the Domestic world, this wasn't always the answer. It still holds true that bigger is better (C6 Z06 example) but Ford didn't really swing that way. The modular motors have stayed relatively small and continue to keep that way. Ford went through the forced induction phase, but came back to N/A roots. Not to mention, I think they did a fine job with driving the 5.0 liter badge home.
  6. I meant to word it as off the showroom floor. But they always insist on those damn Goodyear Eagle F1's. No doubt on a radial or slick, they're 11 second cars from the showroom floor.
  7. I'm still curious if the 6.2 in te Raptor's can throw down those #'s with the same bolt ons. Granted, it has yet to be stuffed into a Mustang yet. As much as I love the Shelby's and all, why would you pay $55K for something that wouldn't hook?
  8. Good job Brady! I shared the link to another board aswell. One of the larger forums here in the DFW area. Can't wait to see some new times this season.
  9. That's with just a little 302ci motor I think Ford has finally found the answer, technology can replace displacement. Think this motor is becoming the new LSX motor. It'll be interesting to see what the aftermarket brings for the new 5.0.
  10. We always have troops on the ground, but you'll never hear or know about it. They're not always US Military, but usually we have advisors on the ground anywhere we operate. When Afghanistan and Iraq both kicked off, we had Special Operations already doing their business as usual. Libya is no different, and the British SAS has already conducted some operations, just not involving targeting opposition. They've been doing rescue operations for their own people as of now, but I don't put it past them to operate like we do. It takes eyes on, to make sure targets are choosen.
  11. MARSOC joined the SOCOM family a little bit ago. From my understanding this is AFCOM's deal or African Command. Which is lead by the Army, so this might be an Army Air Force thing, but the Navy and Marine Corps are right there in striking distance too. The Marines were the ones that scooped up the F-15 that had mechanical failure.
  12. There's always someone, somewhere when we kick off the fun. Here's an interesting read from the man known as Ted Nuggent. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/21/the-gadhafi-precedent/?sms_ss=facebook&at_xt=4d89ff858a636633%2C0
  13. All the more reason I'm glad to get out of Ohio. Saw nothing bad in Texas, but there are some awesome forclosures I'm looking at currently.
  14. Love to hear more about this GTR http://www.1320video.com/img/TX2K11Highlights/IMG_0799.sized.jpg The jet powered bike again http://www.1320video.com/img/TX2K11Highlights/IMG_1852.sized.jpg
  15. Got it on Ricekiller.com. There were a few of the DFW guys running around. There should be some good HD footage coming up soon.
  16. Cobras vs Camaro vs Vette http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lit949KYV88
  17. 9 times out of 10, there are boots on the ground when conducting air strikes. The British SAS have already carried out atleast one rescue operation. It wouldn't surprise me in 3rd Special Forces Group is operating there now. The tip of the spear is always the quiet and unheard about part of the equation, similar to Afghanistan and Iraq.
  18. The past is the past, this I the present. What another man did isn't a valid excuse anymore. The man in charge is the one responsible for his actions or lack there of. We're ok with patrolling a foreign country's airspace, but we can't put near that kind of effort towards patrolling our borders? The Mexican border is a little more pressing than some middle eastern shit hole. Our country would do the same to our citizens if we had an armed revolution.
  19. So fast the American people thought the Global War on Terrorism was going to be quick and swift like Operation Desert Storm. Once again, from the beginning GW even said it was going to be a long hard fight. Americans want the instant success or the quick solution. Turn back the pages of times from the Crusades to Israel's struggle. The Middle East has been a battle ground for thousands of years.
  20. Fuck Africa, Clinton already fucked that one up. Somalia was an utter cluster fuck due to politics. You don't curtail Special Forces, you let them do their job, case closed. Back in 2001 the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan called for our help to rid the Taliban and Al-Qaeda operations from that country. Ahmed Shah Masood would've run the country if UBL didn't order the hit on him. But in the same fashion, we also utilized the Kurds in Northern Iraq. These were real threats to the Middle East, Israel and the world. This was trash that had to be taken out. We fought more than just Iraqi's when I was there in 03',04', 05' and 06'. We caught folks from Sudan to Saudi there just to name a few. Hell te Chechnyan's are helping Taliban "snipers" in Afghanistan now from all their knowledge fighting the Russians. We could've stayed out of this Libya bullshit, but our country being the United States, gives into world and political pressure. I will agree, it's a good thing we're doing, but we've got enough on our plate, no need to hit the salad bar again.
  21. There was word of some videos around. The parking lot crap was about the only bit of street stuff that's up yet. I've seen more track videos than street videos. It's been up on Dallasracing.net.
  22. TT Ford GT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG8Y00omvSg&feature=related
  23. TT Gallardo leaving the Omni there in H-town. I haven't seen some of the finished videos yet. I can only assume, they'll be up this week.
  24. How much did you save on your car insurance by switching to Geico?
