Bore sighting will get you in the neighborhood, but not dead on by any means. If you're using an optic or a form of laser/IR illuminator then bore sighting will help pretty well. We used to bore sight our 25mm cannons on our Bradley's all the time, but the rounds never came close. Best way to sight in is from a fixed position like a rest, bench or a sandbag. As in the case with AR15's, there are targets the military has invented for such purposes. Even ACOG's have their own bore sight targets aswell. I use the M16 targets quite a bit for zeroing some of my rifles, but there is plenty out there similar in nature to help out.

I just moved to Dallas myself and have to say getting rid of crap is the best thing for ya. Bring the most important stuff you can think of and take it with you. As far as job markets and what not, if you can stash away a little bit before you leave. Always nice to not have to rush into anything. I spent a month in Dallas before I even moved down. Take a little time to get to know the area, since you are moving halfway across the US, you should somewhat enjoy it. Like Kirk said, bring cash. Out west you'll be stuck in BFE pretty quick.

I would like to see some of Larue's mounts and parts. Maybe some Smith Enterprise (AKA Crazy Horse Rifles) - M1A/M14 parts Trijicon sights Surefire products Magpul LMT I guess overall, maybe some more AR parts, but also an M1A/M14 section. Seems like too much emphasis has been geared towards the AR's thanks to whore market for them. Maybe a Shotgun section aswell, just your basic parts to rebuild, or make your shotgun tacticool. Maybe one last thing, carry some SO Tech or Tactical Tailor pouches/MOLLE gear and the like. No other shop in Ohio carries anything like that. The US Cav store is in Kentucky, and honestly, I'd like to run in and grab something I need without ordering online. Just my $.02
