My first real street bike was a 77 RD400. I too have a soft spot for 2 smokes and have owned several. As much as I used to hate pulling 4 carbs, 4 or 6 or 8x to get things right it seems less annoying now. Mellowing in my old age. Classic M/C are indeed very cool and when ridden, deliver a measure of visceral enjoyment modern bikes can't match...

I’m headed over on Saturday. I may trailer the RGV over and throw a for sale sign on it....

Staying at the Skyline Village Inn?

Welcome back.... Just down the road from you near St.Clairsville.

Welcome... Love the Hypers. Had an 08 myself. I'm near St.Clairsville. Post up if you're headed down this way...

Update: 556 open now between Bealsville and Carington. Single lane very uneven large GRAVEL surface for 100 yards while they stabilize the hillside above and below the slip. Otherwise in decent shape and fairly clean as was 145. 9 south of StClairsville sucked to Centerville.

Welcome! The CL350 Scrambler brings back memories....

Welcome to OR...

Welcome to the OR group. Big KTM fan myself. On my 5th one (08 990 SDR) Love the RC's Too tough on my old body though. Great roads here make up for shorter season. Northern Kentucky has some great roads as well and its in your back yard. Speed safely.

Finally got around to valve adjustment, plugs, oil/filter, fuel filter change, general clean up... going to drop the forks, flush/change fluid. new tires and that should do it. Just need the weather to start co-operating...

Welcome. Another SDR fan here.

I've managed to get the RGV together after 5 years of restoration. I just may get to go for a ride on it sunday. I got The carbs on the RZ cleaned and sorted. Sounds MUCH better than when I took delivery. The requested audio clips of both for you 2smokers :-)

I'm Going to tour the usual SEO suspects tomorrow. Since I don't see a planned route/meeting spot, maybe our paths will cross. Speed safely.

Heading over in the AM on Saturday. Unfortunately, will be heading back home early evening. Would love to take advantage Jacobs hospitality at his new digs (which looks awesome but the way! Congrats on the new home man!).

Sorry to hear but glad you're OK.

Every time I come back to this, the more I like the looks of the your Street Rod. I didn't even know HD a V-Rod variant. I've been half heartedly looking at cruiser options and this once really has me intrigued...

Yes. I had a 1986 Suzuki RG500. Eventually sold it to keep the marriage intact... I do remember a guy from Akron having an RG that was in on a few OR rides, prolly around 2003-04. I had already sold mine by then... made him an offer on his to see if he would bite.

Sounds good Todd. I was out playing on the SEO twisties today.

Back in 1985 it was really fast. Any decent running mid 1990's 600cc sport bike would likely be more than a match for it today. The way it delivers it power it what make its so much fun to ride...

Pauly, my understanding is that this was a replica of Yamaha's GP bike, 4 cylinder, V-configuration, twin crankshafts geared together, reed valve induction/exhaust power valves. My Suzuki RG500 was a replica of their older version of GP bike. 4 cylinder, square 4, twin cranks geared together, disc valve induction, exhaust power valves. I wish I would have kept the RG. Strangely, it surfaced on the RG500 FB page. The new owner had just purchased it from the guy I sold it to16 years ago. Looks identical to the day I sold it. At least he took good care of it.

Thanks gentleman. I spend way too much time surfing the net looking for Unicorns....LOL! K-k, I love the smell of burnt Castrol 2 stroke in the morning

I've always been a fan of the big 2 strokes. I've been looking for one of these for a few years and ran across this one almost 2 months ago. Its taken awhile to get it here from Medford Oregon but it finally showed up last Monday. Engine/suspension all stock(save for the chambers). AirTech fairings, R6 front brakes. I've only had time to take it for 1 (quite illegal) ride and everything works as it should on a 31 year old 2 smoke. There's nothing quite like the power delivery of a 4 cylinder 2-stroke as it comes on the pipe .
