  3. love it! what did it run ya, if you dont mind me asking..
  4. bike is still getting worked on, so no go here, although if it was together enough to ride i probably wouldnt have went out for a few
  5. thats all well and good, but a heel guard is a high wear part. so if you rattle can it, it will come off fairly quick with the amount of contact it has. just get it powder coated and youll never have to worry about it again
  6. thanks guys.. ill have be having fun at work all night...
  7. i have always used all balls brand.. fork seals, and bearings of any kind and couldnt be happier. thats what ill be ordering for the roadstar when i do do the new springs, and fluid change in it here in a few weeks
  8. so got my bags back from paul.. i had him get the extensions attached so i could make the cutouts for the exhaust. he started doing some body work on them as well, still alot to go to make them paint ready though.. also i got my exhaust extensions back from my welder buddy.. he did an amazing job.. they fit ultra tight, and if i ever want them back to stock, just unbolt the extensions and done. i still have to sand them down and polish them, but i figure ill do that when everything else is out for paint. so i got a few things accomplished tonight.. got the cutouts made for the exhaust to come through.. i still need to trim it up a little more, im not 100% happy with it, but im almost there. i just got tired and said ill finish it tomorrow lol. i got the stud adhered to the rear fender that will bolt to the cross brace i also ended up putting the stock suspension links on it. the ones that were on it made it sit really low and it looked great when the air ride is dropped, but i when its raised i didnt feel like i had enough ride height with the newly added weight and add ill have a passenger on there as well. so its great for when its at ride height loaded, but doesnt look as bad ass when its dropped now.. but id rather be able to ride the thing than scrape everywhere and destroy the fender and bags.. i am going to be making some additional brackets for the exhaust out back.. something that will attach to the bottom bag bracket. the exhaust shakes alot on any dual exhaust setup on the roadstar, especially on the left side. so i need to get something on there to keep the shaking to a minimum. so anyway on with the pics trying to hold the fender in some where it should be tightened down to same here in this pic you can kinda see where the exhaust extension is..
  9. love those bikes! i am seriously considering buying one

  13. ok, what goes into determining what master cylinder to use. how do i calculate it, and what outcome should i be looking for.. besides yeah that feels right, when braking. im going form a dual 2 piston caliper, with non floating rotor.. to a single 6 piston caliper with floating rotor.. and i want master cylinder that will work well with my setup.. id like to use something off another bike.. ducati, yamaha, whatever
  14. I scored some great parts tonight browsing ebay.. im going to a single Caliper rotor setup BTW. so here is my buys so far.. 93 YZF 750 6 piston front calipers $55 shipped (only need the left, but they were sold as a pair)(these are very rare, hard to find, and highly regarded calipers, ive seen them sell for $175 a piece, best thing is they are a direct bolt up) Ferodo HF7 Brake Pads $31 shipped brand new Versah Front Brake rotor $55 shipped (full floating, for 99 - 03 R1, and 97 - 02 R6, Fits Roadstar though) now i need to find a front master cylinder solution.. so far i think ill go with the Warrior master cylinder, but if i can find a really great deal on a brembo or the like master cylinder ill probably jump on it. then ill have to get a custom braided line.. this thing should have tons of braking power even if its only a single caliper/rotor setup. stock setup is dual disc, non floating, and dual 2 piston calipers.
