  3. i feel ya.. its a pricey bike, but in the same price range as the metric baggers, so its not as bad when you put it in perspective
  4. catchy thread title.. but seriously i know alot of you are anti HD but do any of you find the coolness factor in these bikes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQOQR_sIu80 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQA6m6vQdIw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30MWfJJ5Xpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo-0m6JNgng&feature=related this is ridiculous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJhXnCOt-Qw this is basically what i want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s3rdv6ZlFQ&feature=fvst
  5. HD Street Glide or Ultra Glide im like you ben, wanting to relax listen to some tunes and enjoy the ride
  6. i like the fairing on the street glide
  7. dont want something that old nor do i want an ultra the street glide is the most streemline bagger in the lineup, and thats what im looking for
  8. ehhh all different kinds.. there sare 100s of different bikes, power isnt everything oh and there isnt another metric bike (water cooled) that makes that kind of torque the VTX 1800 makes more HP but doesnt come close in torque
  9. i agree.. and im not a harley fanboy, but after looking at them, and riding some you can really tell where the money is in the bikes.. there is hardly a stitch of plastic on the bikes, and how clean and tiddy they keep the wiring and such. they just look better put together than the japenese bikes
  10. 102 CI, but its air cooled Vtwin you cant compare an air cooled Vtwin to a water cooled inline..
  11. thanks for stopping by! i just got off the phone with No Mar, they are running a pretty good deal, probably order one pretty soon lol
  12. my bike made 89hp 111ftlb its not underpowered plus i got the track bike for fun
  13. yeah i was thinking street bob, but thats not to great of a 2 up bike as for being overpriced.. the street glides price is right in range with similar models.. yamaha stratoliner deluxe and the victory cross roads i think? the street glide has the least power of the 3 i like the yamaha, but i hate the dash on it.. it doesnt have a physical stereo, only has speakers, amp, and a ipod hookup the front fairing is kind of janky, and there is just alot of plastic on the bike as for the victory i just hate the way the back end looks on it.. well pretty much the whole bike really the street glide is a great bike, i have ridden one and i liked it quite a bit, all the instruments are in front of you, great stereo, handles ok, good storage, and great styling.. my only gripe is it doesnt make alot of power, but now they offer the 103 motor, so thats a plus
  14. i think me and wife might move up to a Street Glide come spring... i know i know... didnt think i would go to the dark side either. its not a definate yet, but we are seriously thinking about it
  15. so i guess ill be ordering my No Mar tire changer sooner than i thought i have been wanting to upgrade to a no mar anyway. i have there bar and use some of there other products and love what i have, but was gonna wait till spring to get there machine.. but since i have worn out my old tire changer to the point it cant function at all lol ill be ordering it withing the month

  18. i have things going on cause im bored and cant leave well enough alone lol.. and thats not a radiator cowl.. the bike is air cooled
  19. make it a sunday so i can make it lol i need to hook up with you for a tune before winter anyway
  20. well i got a little bored and went to town on some things i was waiting to do till winter. first off if you look at a stock warrior there is a mess of stuff at the top of the frame near the front.. basically over the front cylinder and what not. when you clean that up it looks so much nicer. so stealing ideas off some of the guys on the warrior forums i took a go at it. i made a coil and sensor relocation bracket which takes sits under the gas tank (thats if you no longer are using the stock air box, which im not, i have a home made VBAK kit that i made on it) not much of any place to actually bolt it up, so everyone just zip ties it to the frame with no issues. this is my end result.. both coils, 3 sensors, the air temp sensor, and what you dont see the LCV (mounted underneath) all on a nice little plate setup that cleans everything up. i also cleaned up some of the wiring down the frame tube and tucked some of the other wires under the tank some. now i had a air cleaner on the bike, but it really had no function because i had the VBAK (basically torque tubes with k&N filters) under the tank. so i wanted it gone, only problem is there is a mess of wiring, and the throttle bodies looked exposed between the V of the motor. i found a plate you can buy from Barons, but i really didnt want to pay $150 for a piece of aluminum polished up. so i went down to alloy research and bought a 12 x 14 piece of aluminum ($10) i designed a tear drop shape i wanted............. it was enough to cover all the wiring, and i was gonna polish that piece out, but i wanted somethign a tad different than i have seen on other warriors. so again back to paper... i copied a design from harley... i love the skull they use, and figured screw it ill use that.. i tweaked it some, but its pretty much the same. so i get out my jigsaw and start cutting my teardrop... (doing this shit all by hand sucked, and its not perfect, but it looks decent to me lol) next and the hard part was to cut out the skull ... the outside of it wasnt to bad to cut... it was the eyes, nose and teeth that sucked.. but it came out pretty good. so to set everything off i painted the tear drop a nice wrinkle black finish. for the skull i rounded the edges, sanded the face and then polished it up. i mounted the skull to the tear drop shape with some spacers and viola! the wrinkle black doesnt look as good in the pics as it does in person but you get the idea.. and here is a photo before i modded it, so you can see the difference where all the coils and stuff are near the top front of the frame.. it cluttered the motor up alot.
  21. I never had any electrical problems with that bike... I mean never ... doesn't mean there isn't one now, but the bike had zero issues when I traded it in.
