  1. I thought this group was about keeping stinky snatches. Good thing I came in to read what it was really about.
  2. If the new Gov really wanted to make some positive change, quit screwing with a stupid design of plates and try reducing the costs by issuing you only 1 instead of 2 like the majority of the rest of the states.
  3. Glad I switched from HTC to Motorola this past weekend.
  4. Just when you think your thread is nerdery safe.
  5. Okay, this is straight from M$: Linking Multiple Xbox's Together PS - No mention of any kind of specific ethernet cable required.
  6. Because he just said he didn't you Subie humping hippie. Let it go already.
  7. JFGI.....but it's a normal looking CAT5 cable with the exception of two pairs of the wires are changed pin wise at the ends. I'd have to double check of that's truly needed though, not entirely sure.
  8. Dicks...all of ya! He just had some thing configured poorly. I updated the firmware on his wireless router, reconfigured it with new SID and set it up so he could use his laptop wirelessly from anywhere in the house. Moved all of the existing wired connections over to the router instead of off the Surfboard modem and made a return visit to get his printer hooked up wirelessly. Nothing major really, just good old fashioned home networking setup/config. But thanks for the props Marty!
  9. Right, Mike. This deal was good for either new contracts or upgrades. So far the phone is fast, a lot faster than my old single core. The screen is fantastic, so much so the wife tried streaming Netflix to hers and it was actually easy to watch. I don't think it would have been as smooth if we weren't in a 4G area though but that's to be expected. I have absolutely no complaints about it at all at this point. I'm usually very good with my phones and this one will probably last a good long time the way it's built.
  10. Well I bit the bullet this evening and upgraded to the new Razr. Couldn't not do it really. Hhgregg had the phone for 299 less my new for 2 of 50 and less another in a 100 Visa gift card so I only paid 169 after taxes. I wasn't going to do it but didn't think I would see as good a deal even at Xmas. So far very happy with it. Just have to get used to not having HTC Sense any more.
  11. qft! I have a Bluray calibration disc that I use to calibrate every TV I've purchased in the past 3 years. I've even taken it into stores with me with the full intention of making them hook up a BD player so I can compare the sets I was looking at after a quick calibration.
  12. I would have to disagree about the LG's. There are plenty of consumer reviews and avid video people that stand by them. I bought a 55" 3D 240Hz for the wife and it is clearly better than my 40" Sharp Aquos. I would have no problem buying LG's, Sharps, Samsungs, etc. They are are pretty darn close when comparing similar models. One thing that the people should keep in mind also is that in stores they do not take the time to calibrate the displays. Some tvs have a lot of green push, some lack enough red. They can be all over the place and what might look like shit in a store could be a great display after it's properly calibrated.
  13. No wonder Nick likes to pit next to you.
  14. A track whore who wears panties. You must have got that tip from jbot.
  15. Sam's has the same deal except you get a 3 month live sub with it. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod5150058&dblclick=true&pid=_DoubleClick_Affiliates
  16. If you play your Xbox on that long enough on you'll burn the static images onto it. Don't care what the manufacturer says they have in place to stop it. It will happen. Move to an LCD and all those worries go away.
  17. In uTorrent, go to Options, Preferences, General. There should be a checkbox for automatic updates in the Privacy section.
  18. I think there is an option for updates somewhere. I remember getting them and I usually turn them off because if it works I don't need them. Just uninstall and download the latest version.
  19. You might have but your reply was not so concise, so I was replying for everyone's benefit. People have a misconception about seeing LCD and LED label TVs. I was just trying to clear the air about them, no need to take anything personal as that was not my intention. If people were savvy shoppers, they'd look at the detail of the ads and can find this information. Again, just trying to educate those who are not avid video/audiophiles like yourself.
  20. Nothing personal, but I'd stay away from frostwire/limewire/etc. People are not smart and they will catch something from there. I guarantee it. Find yourself a good torrent tool like uTorrant, and do the legwork to find what you're looking for yourself. 10000x less likely to catch a virus or malware.
  21. It's best to explain what you're talking about because it's not entirely accurate. LCD's come with a multitude of different back lighting. The back lighting is the primary source of light the shines through the LCD to give you a picture. LED back lighting is the most recent trend. Previously they used CCFL or florescent back lighting. These can also come as edge lit or perimeter, or they could be full back lit. So, an LCD tv is an LCD tv. The addition of LED simply tell you that it's using LEDs for the back lighting instead of florescent. Hope that helps!
  22. I bet the crime is rampant in areas with Krispy Kreme donut shops.
  23. We can make it happen. We just have to pick the date, and start informing people. We can exclude Craig since he'll make up some lame ass excuse to not go.
  24. I was just pointing out the obvious so redkow at least feels like he's got a chance to get my buck.
