  1. Welcome to ThunderDome. What's your screen name on OBc? I don't recognize this one.
  2. Thanks for putting this together Tina. I know it was tough to get people (like me) to give you photos on time.
  3. I feel your pain. I've come to accept that aluminum seats are your best option.
  4. looks great. Are you with a shop/business in town? You can PM me that if you need to. My Hamilton could definitely use some love like this, it has one BIG chunk/dent in the bezel, can you form that back at all? Do you service movements as well?
  5. My track future for next year will all depend on if I get my bonus for 2011 and my job outlook at that time. If all are positive then the FD will get a roll bar, aluminum seats, harnesses, new tires, and brake pads. Even with all of that i'll still be driving the thing to the track so I'd say Mid-Ohio with PCA, BMWCCA, or NASA are the most likely, with some apperances at Nelson and Putnam as well.
  6. Nice Hamilton Doug. I have a Khaki field chrono auto that I've beat the crap out of since 2004 and it never misses a beat. I've been eyeing their newer aviator line too.
  7. First, learn what you're going to be looking at and buying. This will help lessen the screwing that you'll inevitably take. Start here: http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds/diamond-education?track=head You can look at loose stone prices on that site and get a feel for what will fit in your price range. You can also come up with your own levels of acceptable ranges for each of the qualities of the stone. My personal recommendation is that a higher color rating such as H can be masked by a great cut. The cut was the most important factor to me and what I was willing to pay extra for. If you're not buying a round stone, that can become less important. I chose to buy a stone seperately from http://www.goodoldgold.com and had a great experience with them. I bought my setting from Diamond Cellar and had them mount the stone. They also custom built my wedding band. I would definitely recommend them, but I had my experiences with the Dublin store not Easton. The setting is easy, just pick one you think she'll like and in the proper material/color.

That makes sense Brady. I knew I got the basic system as it was all I needed for what we'll use it for.

I didn't know about the rebate, but looking into it I notice that they offer this stipulation "Purchase a Viper or Directed SmartStart GPS system at a retail price of $299 or higher AND a 3-year SmartStart GPS PREMIUM service plan at $239" I bought the 3 year plan, but it was only $120....so I guess we know where that extra $100 rebate is coming from. No hard feelings on my side though, it's like getting the rebate up front. I got the smart phone version so we wouldn't have 2 damn key fobs which is annoying, and because my wife works at Chase where the parking lots are HUGE and likely out of distance of a normal remote starter.

I took my wife's TL in to have a Viper Smart Start installed for her for Christmas. Everyone there was great to deal with, very up front, and they were even able to work with my schedule so that I could have everything installed without my wife knowing. Thanks again to Kyle, Justin, and all of the guys at PPC.
  11. I had a friend who had set it up so that people he graduated highschool with could see his page, but other than that it was private. His perspective employer created a fake page claiming they graduated from his highschool just so they could research him on FB. Bogey on that. I just think i'll get into more trouble than its worth.
  12. I'm a holdout. I feel it would be nice and beneficial for about 5% of the people and content, but I'm not willing to put up with all of the other crap for that. I'm also wildly inappropriate in my conversation and humor and do not want an employer looking at what I'd be putting on there. No matter what you do with your privacy settings you can never completely secure that information.
  13. I'll have to get permission from Scott on this board, but I don't believe he'd have a problem with it as long as his watermark was included. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/IMG_0246copy.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/IMG_0275copy.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/IMG_0310copy.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/IMG_0506copy.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/IMG_0336copy.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/Sample2.jpg Unfortunately don't really have much of the M3.
  14. No build threads per-se. I'm usually busy cursing and throwing wrenches when working on them and don't really take pictures. There's a thread on here somewhere for the photoshoot of the FD that my sig is from.
  15. Cool to see you stick with the rotary. Fix the oil/spray issue, put it at 8lbs, and drive the crap out of it. That'll be a fun car with 220-ish whp. Nice writeup.
  16. model A all the way! I've wanted one for years. Must have no roof, fenders, or running boards.
  17. Rigid 5hp shop vac from Home Depot. It's the same vacuum AudiOn19s uses for detailing and he's put it through hell and back and it keeps on going. It will also pick up just about anything and is cheap.
  18. HA. Have I been to this secret lair?
  19. OT - How is the Panatime strap? I've looked at them before but never pulled the trigger. free bump, I think the Seiko is prime for a NATO strap.
  20. Any of the Euro M3 HFM's or the cheaper 540i HFM's will work. You'll want a 3.5" intake of some sort, there are a lot of options out there. I've used the cheap-o Cosmos intake for years now and it's worked well. I still use the stock throttle body elbow (rubber accordian). You can upgrade to a silicone one, but I don't know if there's that much gain to be had there.
  21. Congrats Rich. I dig the Jaffster knob, my buddy has one on his track M3 and it's great. 3.5" HFM and the 21.5# injectors and a chip to run them was the best thing I ever did to my OBD-I M3.
  22. Yes Paul, I was asking if the keyboard and mouse connect via USB ports or if they have the old school pin connectors?
  23. :fuuuu: I won't be able to make it Friday, but I do like the setup up there. Glad to see Justin getting things going.
