  1. I've always loved the way G35 coupes look. Welcome to the site.
  2. good looking MR2. Welcome.
  3. http://w2.bikepics.com/pics/2006%5C11%5C22%5Cbikepics-729925-800.jpg Mine looked just like this. Wish I would have never sold it. Got it after it sitting for 12 years and had to bring it back to life. Every time I smell old nasty gas that's turned it reminds me of this bike. Nothing could have been better for a 16 year old kid though. I remember when I started riding a 600 was not something you even considered for your first bike, but I think now-a-days guys let their ego get the best of them. That being said, I've seen people ride 1000s as their first bike and exercise self control and be ok, and I've seen people get on 250 Ninja's and beef it all the damn time. Take the MSF course as a minimum, it's a good introduction to riding and life on the street.
  4. Hardy impressed me with how he absolutely refused to quit, but he was clearly outclassed in the fight. He could get to his feet for about half a second before getting taken down again. Damn GSP shoots fast! I cannot wait to see Carwin v. Lesnar. I hope that Carwin breaks Lesnar's face. p.s. Did you watch the last fight? I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time. Hamilton was completely rubber and would just flop around the ring but ended up outlasting the other guy and landing some good blows (accidents it looked like sometimes).
  5. Bump. I was completely happy this morning. The Australian GP was everything I wanted this season in F1 to be. Much more passing, tons of excitement, and differing strategies. I was a bit bummed to see the 2 stop strategy go sideways from the wreck between Hamilton and Webber. I was hoping that Hamilton and Webber both would have passed Alonso. That would have also fueled the idea of using 2 stops in the future, but with Button only running 1 I think it'll continue the thought that 1 is the best. Side note, I hope it rains every race from here on out.
  6. Nice. ComDoc is a good company. Tough business but good people there. Hopefully Frank and Pat take good care of you.
  7. absolute LOL at the end at the statement of "they are pretty weak trannies"...HAHAHAHA
  8. shame....too tall for my liking on the M3
  9. Mega Squirt is an engine management system. I'm referring to something completely seperate. No biggie. If you make it out to a cars and coffee meet this spring I'll give you a better idea of what I'm talking about.
  10. I think you're probably right LJ. Thanks for the heads up.
  11. no, it's a stand alone system with a tank in the trunk. The washer reservoir unfortunately wasn't big enough to last an entire track session. Still, it's simple and easy to implement and offers a good protection that I think every forced induction car should have at the track.
  12. looks great. Good call on the intercooler upgrade, but if I may, I suggest looking at a small simple water injection system for the track. Even a bigger intercooler will get heat soaked during 20-30 minute sessions. If you want I'll show you what i did on the FD sometime. Simple and effective.
  13. Free bump for you. How'd you like these tires? Were they quiet? I'm thinking about getting them for my M3. I'm not as concerned about outright traction as road noise and manners these days as if I track the car I have different wheels/tires. How did they wear as well?
  14. Thanks for the responses guys, that gives me some good direction. I'll have to look at some hardwood and see if the hardness will be enough to stand up to our dog and the beating we'll put on it. As to my sub flooring question, is Zach's method best? Should I cut out the sub flooring in the main entrance and the kitchen? Could I get away with trying tp bring up the level on the rest of the floor with padding or am I dreaming because it'll never be right?
  15. Thanks for the education on that. How about durability? Will hard wood hold up to my dog running around on it? Also, does hard wood come in floating floor applications, or are we then talking nailed or glued floors?
  16. you'll have to forgive my absolute lack of knowledge on the subject, but I thought that's what I WASN'T going with the hardwood. I thought the true wood would be more likely to warp and have water damage? Is the hardwood more likely to scratch from our dog as well? Is there a difference in care required? I don't anticipate us dropping tons of water on the floor, but it will be in our kitchen, both entry ways, and our main dining area so crap happens.
  17. My wife has expressed a strong interest in having our main floor of our condo redone in hardwood…or more to my liking laminate faux-hardwood flooring. I know very little about this stuff and could use some guidance. A little background on our place. It will be around 500-600 sq ft of floor to cover. Currently there is carpet there and there is cheap thin laminate flooring in the front entry way and kitchen. Underneath each of those areas there is additional sub-flooring to make the height similar to the carpeted areas. Unfortunately this sub-flooring goes UNDERNEATH the cabinetry/counters in the kitchen so it is not easily removed. Also the floors will be in high traffic areas being both entrances to the home. The shape is not very easy either as it will have to work around our kitchen (L-shape) and 2 stairways. First up: the flooring material. I see different thicknesses offered. I see some come with a backing material, others don’t. All seem to require separate padding. What’s really worth the money here? Will too much padding cause the floor to creak/moan/mush? What about water proofing or resistance. The floor will definitely get wet during the winter/spring time when there’s rain and snow. Another consideration is that we have a spazmatic dog that will run around likely trying to scratch up everything we just put down. Where should I buy the materials? Any store/brand better to consider than others? Should I use a floor-specific place like Rite Rug or use a home improvement place like Home Depot? Second: installation. My wife refuses to let me try to tackle this myself…likely for good reason…I’m not very good with working on home projects. I notice that Home Depot and the like have installation available, but will they be able to tackle the issues with the sub-flooring? I was hoping to be able to get away with using extra padding in the areas without the additional flooring in order to make the height even…am I dreaming there? Would I need to have someone lay additional floors so it matches the entry and kitchen? Should I hire a contractor to do this? If so, who can I trust and any idea on what it’d cost? If I do use a contractor should I buy the materials from them as well or is it better to separate those portions? Sorry for the cluster bomb of questions, but thanks for any guidance you can offer.
  18. I know it sounds stupid, but have him remove the battery and charge it fully before putting it back in. If he just took it from the store and put it in then it might not have enough charge. Any time I've had a no-start no-click problem it was the battery or one of the connections.
  19. go with a street disc this time, you'll be much happier than a puck and it'll hold just fine for what you intend to do with the car.
  20. I honestly keep expecting my face to melt off....I can't believe you two have actually agreed on something.
  21. awesome-tastic! Glad to see the little guy can still make an impact. It's awesome that the fans loved him too. Was there any explanation on the loophole he used to get into the competition or are they keeping it a secret so that everybody doesn't jump on the bandwagon?
  22. Small world. When I first got out of school I worked for ComDoc there.
  23. I was still wondering exactly what a Cadillac plan was so I looked it up and found this. http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Stories/2010/March/18/Cadillac-Tax-Explainer-Update.aspx The upside is that since she works for a big evil corporation her coverage is great at a much lesser price than would fall into those categories. I am curious though if they base those cutoffs at the "cost" of the consumer's rates, or do they include the amount that the employers are paying as well? How would you know? I will say that my wife's current insurance (for her as an individual) is only about $120 a month.
  24. I realize that my question is likely fickle, but I guess everyone wants to think of how they're affected. I have a pretty good insurance plan thru work, and my wife has what I would consider a great insurance plan. She has a personal deductable each year and then 100% coverage except for copays. Is her plan going to be considered one of the "Cadillac plans" that will no longer be offered by health insurers? I would be upset if we could no longer have that option, especially as we're planning on trying to raise a family and that coverage would be what I want for my wife and children.

    Hi

I always loved when your dad posted stuff up on the minivans. Clean-ass engine bay on the one as well. Welcome to the Thunderdome.
