^^ He was the GM of the store...who better were you going to trust?
-
sure man, i'll spill the beans. Doubtful I'll ever see him again anyway. From motorsports he stole everything that wasn't bolted down pretty much. His favorite crime was to charge out parts to a unit and then take those parts home and ebay them for his own profit. He also took all the manufacturer spiff money that was supposed to be going to the owner and kept that as well for every bike the shop sold. HELL...he even stole the damn cash out of the pop machine!!!! HAHAHAHAHA. I'm sure his run at Cycle Search was similar. I'm also sure he'll find his way into the next con just fine.

aww why you gotta bust my balls? It's actually from the front before i had the camber plates. I know we're planning on hitting up the first Funday in April...the 18th I think.

I have a set of Lightweight replicas that I had as winter wheels, but don't drive my M3 in the winter anymore. The clearcoat is cracked and has some white spots around the lips on just about each wheel. They're definitely 20-footers, but that's why they're perfect for winter wheels. I had the centers painted charcoal grey. The wheels are all 17 x 7.5. Tires are Michelin Alpin snow tires 225/45/17. Tires have good life left on them. Two tires have a bit of camber wear with slight cupping on the insides, but nothing too extreme. I tried to show some of the biggest blemishes in the photos, then a photo of them mounted on my car. Sorry for the huge pictures, but I wanted to be as up front about the condition of the wheels as possible. SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! let me know if you have any questions or want some additional pictures. Thanks. Chris

I thought everybody knew this by now? I'm sorry to hear you got burned, but does nobody check references anymore??

^^ State Farm wins Tilley, I have to ask, what are you insuring with them that you could even have that much room for savings? Are you carrying really high medical coverage or something?
-
my ass = beefy as far as aftermarket seats are concerned, but you're correct that probably only the FX1 Pro would fit in the car.....i'll just have to SQUEEZE into it
-
even though the job sucks, change the fuel filter. Then put fresh plugs in it and see how that helps out.
-
you looking for seats for your FD? If so, there are a very limited number that will actually fit in the car without either modifying (read: cutting) the seat or having it rub/touch the doors trans tunnel. I've been researching this a bit since I'm going to have to get an aftermarket seat in order to fit in the car with a helmet on. are you looking at getting a fixed back, or reclining seat?

Definately sucks. John's right, that's sales, but you got caught in the middle of a major F-U between two workers with one salesman selling a car that another had a hold on. The biggest issue for you to remember if you're sure you're going to buy a car in the future is to put a deposit on it. If you had $500-$1000 sitting there to say you're coming back that wouldn't have happened. I can tell you exactly what happened that day. Salesman-2 (the guy who sold the car away from you) had someone come in who was interested in buying that car. He knew he could turn the deal that day and put the money in his pocket, so screw the other salesman. He wasn't going to get paid on your deal anyway. I guarantee he went to his manager and told him to sell the car becuase your salesman was holding it and didn't even have any money down on it. Your approval for a loan doesn't hold water there, trust me, it's worth jack to a salesman if you're not standing there. The manager did the same thing anyone in that business would have....took the money while they could. Your salesman, and your car deal both got f'd. What the other salesman did was morally wrong since he knowingly screwed his co-worker, but that's the way the car business works anyway.

I can.....and it wasn't pretty

HAHAHA...how did I see that one coming! I suppose that I miss "Smokey" my old talon (hence the screen-name from when I joined). But, if I hadn't destroyed it in a glorious show of idiot behavior I probably would have never bought my M3....lemons into lemonade I suppose. I guess that's why I bought the FD, it reminds me of the talon in many ways....but faster. I do however regret selling my 97 all red CBR600F3 that I had painted the wheels white. I'll probably also regret selling my 636 eventually as well.

did you decide if you're going to rebuild or go LSX?
-
HAHAHA, thanks. It's not my house, it's my brothers and he already had me help with that.
-
question for Michael and Jake, The stock reflectors have the circle outlines on them already (very faint, but you can see it), are those close to how you ended up placing your circles? also, did you use additional adhesive to reseal the lights afterward or just use what was originally there?

not the best picture, but the best I could find. I've always wanted to see a what my wheels would look like in a flat light BBS gold. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/Picture056.jpg
-
you're right Scott, the prices have continued to go up on them. I do get to see one every now and then though as Evans still owns one and drives it every now and then. Ben, I disagree. The F50 is ugly as hell, barely faster, and 10x less the road car, and non of us on this board have the stones to track a F40 or F50.
-
looks good Jake, I'd definitely be interested in seeing them in person sometime.
-
I second the Countach just for the 80s cool factor. Although I've heard they're actually a pain in the ass to drive. what do used F40s go for these days? That's still a very timeless car that'll always be VERY cool.

http://www.performance2and4.co.uk/img/964TII3.64.jpg bad boys bad boys! what'cha gonna do?

I would buy a mint 1994 964 3.6 Turbo. I've always wanted that car. It's just THE car I think of when I think 911 (no offense Andy )
-
yeah, the fogs are on my list with painting the R1 lip black again, but thanks for the heads up. I didn't even buy the stock hood with the car because i knew that as soon as I put it on, I'd just realize that I needed the vented one....I'm hoping it'll grow on me I guess. I may have liked it better without the hood pins, but once again, necessary evil

already taken care of my friend Fluidyne and crooked willow kit. the previous owner actually used it as a track car, but I'd rather be safe than sorry as far as the tune goes.
-
no motor mods planned other than having the Rx7 Store re-tune it since i'm not the most trusting of the tune the previous owner put on it. I have a dyno for it with 300whp on a Mustang dyno, which is more than enough for what I'll do with the car, i'm just more concerned about it taking 20-30 minutes of straight abuse on the track.
