  1. sorry putty... just giving my unbiased opinion of the topic. i dont mean to actually offend anyone but the person that is the topic. as i said loved the music hated the man. private life isnt private anymore and sometimes its more important than the work he did in his public life. too bad it overshadowed his great ability.

  2. he could have bought anything he wanted in the world and he bought another childs innocence instead. he can go fuck himself in hell. loved the music and hated the man. he is and never will be a good role model for anyone except a songwriter or a performer. the rest of his life he spent destroying childrens lives. good riddance

  3. I know you talked about no hywy miles but my best advice if you do. get in the left hand lane and stay there. if you only change lanes to get there and to get to your exit you can plan the escape route in case of trouble better if you have the left breakdown lane to use. You can usually use the speed of your bike over the cars and pass all of the heavy traffic you will be in when you get on the highway and get to an open spot where there are only a few cars. this only applies when its not the dead of rush hour but i leave the house at 825am and traffic is usually slowing down on the west side of cbus by then. My biggest advice though is only .25 throttle till you get to a main road and watch everything. People dont watch for bikes going 75 mph when they back out of their driveway and they dont watch anything but what is directly in front of them the rest of the time. If you see someone doing something stupid then pass them or slow down to find an area with no cars. Try to be the first one to the next light (safely) and then watch for redlight runners and then beat the guy in the lane next to you so you will be alone for a while with no one around you till the next light. It has always worked for me to get way in front of who i got on the hywy with because there is usually a break in traffic to allow you to be somewhat by yourself. fewer cars means fewer idiots to look out for.

  4. +1 on the bigger tank. If you can see the backbone under the tank someone did a bad job measuring the fit or something. i know they wanted it to look different than the vtx but damn.... curve the backbone or something people.

  5. Hey its me victor the looser who is always last to everything. If i can still get some shirts i need two mediums please... with sugar on top and a cherry? when u come out on a tues if you can bring them it would be cool. let me know. thx

  6. Basically he is creating a vacuum leak and changing the ignition timing to compensate! The HHO he refers to is water normaly put H20 and is basically water injection to cool the engine from how lean the engine is running...

WARNING dont not try this on a motorcycle that you like because most bike engines need higher octane and have high compression (especially sport bikes) and it will melt a piston before you circle the block!!!

put the crack pipe and your credit card down!!!!:supergay:

  7. I was first on the scene to a motorcycle wreck on wednesday night at about 11:30 at the northbound ramp to oh-48 from west bound I-70. First name was jeremy if I remember right and he was riding a kawasaki 750! BTW he totaled the bike and hurt himself pretty bad and is very lucky he was wearing a helmet!!!

  8. looks like he isnt done making stupid decisions. He is about to get his mom wraped up in insurance fraud as a bonus. That's a felony btw.[/quote

Thats gonna be interesting when the police report says the wreck happened at 1:35pm on the 15th and they didnt call the insurance company until 4:15pm the same day. Im no insurance expert but I have always understood that if you buy a vehicle you have a 24hr grace period to call the insurance co. to add it to the policy. If you add it to your policy at the time of sale and then total it on the way home then you have still only paid one months premium anyway! Someone let me know if im right or wrong on this one.(as if I have to ask)

  9. Thats a good idea... Drive through the hood with a loud ass horn and honk it at people. Then drive really fast so you dont get shot at. Notice that all the people in the hood sitting on park benches or bus stops looked like they were ducking for cover!! Drive by horning!!! FTW

  10. Really then!P.I.T. is an acronym for Pursuit Intervention Technique or Precision Immobilization Technique. The defination of this is to abruptly turn sideways to the direction of travel of the fleeing vehicle.Try staying on a bike through that.Even a nudge will put you on your ass. Don't think so,then lets try it.I'll be the one in the car.

+1 and correct Rocky. The P.I.T manuever was never intended to stop motorcycles and is inherently dangerous. It is only meant for four wheeled vehicles to cause them to spin out and hopefully stop. When you would use that on a motorcycle it wouldnt spin out but you would crash! If you want to test the theory Ill bring the ambulance and the stretcher!

  11. Over the past couple of years I have seen Ohio Riders go from a group of really cool riders to small pockets of clicks. We have become separated by ideals and goals. We have focused on our differences rather than what brings us to this site. We have focused on what we don't like about each other rather than the love for bikes that brings us together.

I agree but there have always been a group of people that havent given a shit about meeting people outside that group of select people. That forces all the others to do the same in order to fit in somewhere. I understand that you dont have time to sit down with every person you see and have an in depth converstion but at least be civil and say hey when you see someone that you have seen more than once. If you have a second, ask them who they are and whats up. I try to always talk to someone new and make them feel welcome if they seem new or are by themselves. Hey I was there once and know how shitty it feels to just stand there and look for someone that you think might be willing to talk. Meeting new people and exchanging ideas is the point of the forum and we should at least sometimes act like OR.net is a friendly group of people that just want to talk about and ride motorcycles.

Splitting the group that meets up at Shell just makes us look less inviting to newcomers even though all are invited and as far as Im concerned, no one wears a scarlet letter. I dont want to force anyone to do anything and all forum and non forum members (even if they arent allowed to post anymore) are welcome. Its no big deal it just rubbed bret the wrong way and everyone took it wrong. We like the group thing on wed and wish we could make it to thursdays but we have families and jobs to take care of.

WhoDey... Thanks for all of your wonderfull and enlightened comments at bike nite and on the forum. Thats cool I guess and now I know where I stand. On the other side of the parking lot or the street.

CBR girl Thanks for letting me post on this pointless thread as I cant post on the one Bret started!!:wtf::dunno::honda:

    Thread closed please
