  1. No, being immature is running to tell on us instead of saying something to us. I'm being the mature one by not making him uproot his damn plants and trees. Besides, whether we rev the bikes on purpose or not, we still get home in the middle of the night. There's no changing that.
  2. Then she should have taken the kid with her! She said she was going shopping! Not too hard to get away I guess.
  3. No lying. Gotta increase the revs to get the bike up the driveway. A little rev before turning it off happens sometimes too, yes, for spite, just not always. And, yes, we run the bikes during the winter, sometimes late at night/early morning. But unfortunately for them, running a vehicle is not a crime, no decibels over the legal limit. I let the property line thing go because it wasn't worth making a fuss over 1-2 feet. Didn't think I needed to be that petty. It's not like there's a fence or anything. County records show where the line is if I want to get stupid but I'm not like that. When my parents bought their house the neighbor's fence was 12' onto their property as was the neighbor on the other side of them. The fences had been up for several years but they had to be moved once the error was realized. No, life's not too short to hate your neighbors. But it is too short to live with neighbors like that. I can't wait to sell this house and get out of here!
  4. Best thing was they knew who did it but he was an athlete so he didn't get in trouble. I would have thought that could be some kind of attempted murder.
  5. But wait, how can she divorce him if they are not legally married? They probably aren't legally married because he's not legally a citizen.
  6. 1. We didn't think about the warranty deed because it was only going to be out there for a few days. There are ppl here who park their boats and motorhomes on the street (on the no parking side, mind you) for several days at a time and we have never complained even when you come around the curve on the bike and have to quickly straighten up because there's a vehicle in the wrong place. 2. I didn't mention that the neighbor did not live here when these houses were built (we built ours) and doesn't know where the property line is and has put his landscaping all the way to and over the line. I have never made a fuss because it just hasn't been worth it. 3. Yes, pulling up the sloped driveway in first gear trying to fit between two cars causes some noise. This is where most of the revving comes in. Our bikes really aren't that loud. They are just lucky we don't have HD's! 4. I absolutely LOVE the mashed potatoes idea!
  7. People who do this kind of shit should be fined for spending police/FBI/volunteers time and efforts!
  8. I have to agree that parents are raising wimpy kids today. They don't let them on the floor or in the dirt, immunize against everything possible, use antibacterial everything so they have no immune systems. (This probably ties in to the nut allergy thing.) They pretty much get whatever they want because parents are afraid to say no. They have absolutely NO work ethic to speak of. I never thought about the bullied suicides but you make a very good point there! Our future is looking grim...
  9. :eek:That's kind of shitty that they won't let him have the epi pen! Um, it could save his life! What is he supposed to do otherwise? When I was in college I was in charge of the women's freshman dorm. I had a girl with a peanut allergy and somebody put peanut butter on her door knob. One of the girls came to me and said she got peanut butter. By the time I got to her, her face was swollen, eyes swollen shut and she was turning blue. And her twin sis gave the Epi pen just before I got there. Had to go to the hospital with them and everything. Scary shit! I just wonder where this allergy came from because it seems so prevalent now.
  10. I guess parents are told not to feed kids peanut butter before they are two so they don't develop a peanut allergy. Um, isn't eating something you're not used to going to make it worse? I mean how many kids did you know in school who died of eating peanut butter? I know it's a real allergy but I think it, like many other things today, are over diagnosed.
  11. I definitely will never live anywhere with an HOA again. It's never posed a problem. We accepted the fact we couldn't have a fence but the dog does fine with the underground one. We do have a hot tub to install. I checked the deed and it's ok. But I bet he'll try to get us in trouble for that too. My PT Cruiser was parked out front for several months but it looked fine and had current tags, so that's probably why I didn't hear about that too.
  12. Everybody knows from when we were little that the school has a list of school supplies that are to be brought at the beginning of the year. When I was a kid, it was pens, pencils, notebook paper, tissues, crayons etc. Now it's very specific such as Kleenex tissues, Crayola crayons etc. Supposedly this is so that no one gets picked on, so that they all have the same stuff. But what about families who choose not to buy name brand stuff to save money? Isn't it going to get them picked on when the parent can't afford the name brand stuff? They do stuff like this and don't have try-outs for sports teams so nobody get's their feelings hurt. Isn't this just making a bunch of wussy kids? And there are schools who have a list of acceptable foods the kids can bring. No chocolate, not even choc chips in trail mix, no juice boxes unless they are 100% juice, no added sugar, etc and all kinds of stupid stuff. I thought we lived in a free country?! And the floor is open for discussion...
  13. We never did that until he started mowing at 7am!
  14. Because it says specifically in the letter that it was a motorcycle trailer. You wouldn't know that unless you saw it up close because it had three rails. It would have just looked like a regular trailer from any farther away. It was parked behind our house on that neighbor's side (there is an extension on the other side of the house so the neighbor on the other side couldn't see it.). Couldn't see it from the street either.
  15. No, we don't really talk to the guy. Didn't think we needed to inform him that we were putting something in OUR yard. Didn't realize he was quite that much of a prick. He mows his grass at unGodly early hours in the morning and working third shift makes that my bedtime after a 8-12 hour shift. That wouldn't be such a bad thing but he's obsessed and does it sometimes 2-3 times a week! Then he has to get out the leaf blower and clean off the mower! Then he brings out the weed whacker, then has to use the leaf blower to clean off the drive and sidewalk. He has never asked me if it was ok to keep me from sleeping. So, for now we just rev the bikes in the garage when we come home at 2, 3 or 5am. Over the winter we don't winterize the bikes but we run them every once in a while, usually we do this when we get home from work just for fun. Oh and I always make sure to push the lock button on my keys twice to make the car honk when it locks when I get home in the middle of the night.
  16. So we had bought a new trailer and because the new one took up room in the garage we moved the 3 rail one to the back yard up against our house while we waited until Sniper could come pick it up. It was there for less than a week. Came home from bike night tonight and there was a letter from the HOA saying they had been informed that we had a motorcycle trailer in our yard and that it needs to be removed blah, blah, blah. Well, of course, the trailer is gone now that we have received the letter. So does anybody have any ideas of something ugly we could put in our yard? If anyone has a spare full-size satellite dish, we'd love to borrow it. I think we may install one for fun. Because in the deed, they f'd up and put that only satellite dishes no larger than 24' were allowed. So I'd love for them to send us a letter about that one! Ok, done venting.
  17. Yep, they had at least two whole staff there from what I heard.
  18. Probably won't make it to CC but will meet up with everybody at QSL. Working til "close" which is 7 but that isn't necessarily when the work is done ya know?
  19. No bolts etc came with them, just as they are seen in the pic's. If you bolt them on you can just undo the bolts & bingo, they are removable.
  20. Sorry, doesn't work that way. OR stickers don't stick to scooters. It will just fall right off, one way or another.
  21. Tell her the front seat is more comfortable than the back. She should get her own bike!
  22. SOLD! Thanks Sniper. I sent you a PM with info.
