Good turnout tonight! Parking was kinda shitty. Didn't want to park where they were putting us in the grass so went to the better grass area in front of the hotel. Had to laugh when the cops came over and told some others that had followed that they couldn't park there. Don't think they were with us. But really, WTF? That's where they've been telling us to park lately so how the hell were we supposed to know we shouldn't tonight? They really need to do something about the parking situation over there!
That's what I was thinking for here - a 250 Ninja. It's plenty to start out on. If you think a 600 Ninja is too much for her, a 600 CBR will be too. The 600's are all comparable in hp and speed.
Wow! Glad you are ok and that you can be so positive about it all. I guess it's hard to see the negative when you came out of this alive huh? Heal soon! +1 for wearing gear!
Yeah, I was following a friend in my YELLOW car, luckily she slowed down bc I wasn't paying attention at all. He was on the outside , we were heading south, around the OSU exits.
You don't both have to be present and have it notarized at the same time. You jusr have fill out the top part and be present for the notary and sign it in front of them. You can do that anytime before then. Any bank will do it and the title agencies have notaries too. There is one by Walmart at Polaris/23.
Going slow in 1st gear is difficult because it's too jerky, esp on a 250. Get into 2nd gear asap. You have much more control. Also the pedal bike is a good idea. Practice figure 8's and coming to a stop without putting your foot down then continuing before you fall. They make you do that in the BRC. I would take her to the BRC with you in case she can do a walk in but she will need to get her temps first. Teaching her to ride is great but she may learn better from an impartial party. At the BRC, you are on your own once you start the riding bit so I think she would pay more attention and get more out of it. Try to get her to at least do the BRC before giving up. I think she will feel more confident afterward.
