You and me both. I checked it last night and was 50% chance of T storms. Now its 0-20% depending on where you look. Highs in the 70s lows, in the 60s.

Unfortunately, theres not much more he can do or be placed in. OSHP is primarily a traffic enforcement entity, so its hard to reassign someone to a place that doesn't really exist....like you would find in a normal police department. So they took him off the bike and put him back in a car as a pre punishment.

I don't think he or anyone else would have many options at this point. Sure he screwed up and got caught. But if it were us, would we be willing to plead guilty to something that will most likely cost us our jobs and maybe career for a while? If it had been a lower speeding ticket and the judge hadn't threatened him like that, I bet he would have plead...paid the fine and been done with it. But when your staking your family and whole life on it...thats a bit different. And yes, thats something he and we all take into account when we go out on our bikes. I'll be the first one to say I've went triple digits before, but we all are willing to take risks. Its just comes down to what we feel is acceptable and are willing to risk in doing it. And he bit off a little more then he should have.

I tried it a few days before also. I mounted it to the front of my tank facing through the windscreen. The mount bounce a LOT with just that. So I ended up taking 2 zip ties and pulled it down firm on the brackets onto the HESD/Stabilizer so that it wouldn't move at all. With it just alone...the image will be bad from vibration and bounce...but tied down its great. I will get the videos edited a bit when I have time and toss them up so you all can get a better idea of what it looks like. Minus my horrid riding =p

I need to get the SD card back from the Gf for some of mine and others. Other then that the Videos I am having to work on and edit down. The GoPro did a pretty good job from the tank suction cup mount. The Jhook on the windscreen got kinda choppy from bouncing in the wind and vibration. Didn't get to try the tail mount though.

Rusty, I just checked the camera and apparently I got bumped into still photography mode for the 2nd half of the day. Sigh...so there isn't any video of your friend. I am going through the earlier disc and do have you for a few laps I believe. I will watch it and let you know what I have. It'll take about an hour to transfer only my computer. And I have all of yesterdays stuff to work on sometime also. And a BIG thanks to schmuck for helping me power change out my antifreeze for water/water wetter so I could bump into the intermediate group. And another thanks to Lizard for letting me move up with the approval of my instructor! Had a blast in intermediate for the first time!

Weather tomorrow looks "ok" till about 1-2pm. Then we jump to 40% chance of Tstorms...which bites. Hopefully they hold off until the end so the last session we can all be going a fast pace. As for Tuesday...the track might be wet starting then hopefully dry out. They are still calling for Scattered T-Storms all day. So just make sure everyone is careful and slows down if it starts to get wet out there. It gets really slick and its better safe then sorry unless you have the $$ to fix your bike!

Yeah, the stock seat on the 1k is like a plank. I went with over a Sargent and LOVE it. It has settled just a bit on the front half from so much use.. but is still very padded. Its on all the time except for trackdays. The downside like stated above, is they do not make replacement rear seats, only covers to match the front. But...if I have a lil lady on the back we are probably taking breaks anyways for my wrist and back.

When I was there on the 1st, I took a 3 gallon can and only used about 2 gallons of it for the whole day. We did get rained out for a bit...but I would go with 2-3 Gallons per day. Mind you mine was the 1k.

2nd bad news is now its 40% 40% chance of Tstorms...sigh

If your looking to hook the desktop up with wireless, you will need a wireless network card. Otherwise its via ethernet cable only.

+1! I went to Chris today and he did a great job on getting the new pirelli's on! Super easy to talk with and got everything balanced and zero marks! We went over some replacement pads and touching up my swingarm where the new exhaust melted it a bit. Also showed me where the left front pads were wearing more then the right. Great thing to have someone working on your bike...and looking out for you. Thanks again!
