They put out less wattage than a regular light so the heat in the housing should be less. The only heat you have to worry about is the heat in the wiring to the bulb. DDM sells the bypass wiring kits which relieve the stock harness...this is recommended.
Never noticed that on the bike before now. All that tech and they thought using non-floating rotors was good...I'm going to have to trust the engineers, but I'm still curious.
