    8/19/07 Ride

Sorry I couldn't make it, leaving at 3PM didn't give me enough time to get some things that had to get done finished before dark (I wouldn't have gotten home til at least after 7:30). If we could meet any further east next time that would be awesome, the QSL way out there is almost an hour and a half from here and that is if I illegally ride on the highway

Please post a firm time of your scouting run for today when you know what it is, I may very well do that instead of going tomorrow. Also, are you meeting at the same place or what? Details baby, details

I do not have proper riding gear, so I guess I'm not going. My jacket is still back-ordered until next week.
  6. haha, you had me confused!
  7. you posted in the Cleveland section
  8. That's not really true. Law abiding citizen with a CCW vs criminal that likely has a record already and illegally possesses a gun... your word looks pretty good in that light and it is unlikely you are even charged.

Hopefully not tooooo fast, my bike is so slow
  11. I've locked up my rear 1 time, and I did it on purpose to see how much it would take to lock it up Maybe my pads are shot and it's a blessing in disguise.
  12. I'm really surprised nobody uses the rear brake. Like said above, I think it's a good idea to do it subconsciously because it will help when needed in a bad way, even if it only helps you slow down 25% as well as the front brake. Also, nobody does any tail braking? Enter a corner a little too hot and gently apply the rear brake while turning? I've done it a few times... I read that this was the proper way to slow down mid-turn... then again I'm a n00b
  13. I'll be there again tonight if anyone is headed out. 330 606 7726 we should get there a little before 8

  15. please, share with us your science credentials... I'm very interested
  16. tsk tsk... for not using your rear brake
  17. Actually, that fact "that everyone acts differently and reacts different to certain situations" WAS my point, thanks for parroting it and claiming it as your own 1) arguing the merit of something because it is the law is a fallacious argument 2) I never once said that riding while buzzed or drunk was a smart decision 3) I don't recall asking for your possible future sympathies, in fact seeing as I have no idea who you are I could give a flying fuck either way 4) No, I don't think you are kidding and the "act hard" attempt failed miserably 5) "Why fight Darwinism just so that it can hurt someone else.." - your sentence structure sucks
  18. You would not find a single scientist that would make a blanket statement that all people have the same physical reaction to a BAC of .08. Why not enforce the other laws despite what BAC a person has when driving recklessly?
  19. DUI determined by BAC is a retarded policy anyway. If I'm swerving and unable to control my vehicle, give me a ticket for "failure to control" and take me off the road. If I'm speeding, give me a ticket for speeding. If I'm running red lights, give me a ticket for running red lights. If I'm riding perfectly fine and my BAC is .11 it is utterly retarded to ticket me. Everyone responds to alcohol differently. Ticket those who are breaking the other laws associated with driving (or riding) no matter their BAC, that makes a lot more sense.
  20. that's pretty typical in old Europe really, they will make some huge accusation, he will claim ignorance, they will settle on a number in the lower-middle and all will be forgotten.
