How about a trip to Mid OH an i'll see if Can make your 10s feel really slow?????? Ah heck lets just make it Nelson Ledges to give your 10s even more chance........ Then I may have to bring out my 06 Gix 1k to have some fun...
-
From what I hear you eat for breakfast, same difference..... I showed you at Mid OH that no breakfast will make you go faster...

If it came in that orange model they did a few years ago that plain would make a killer base for some decal graphics... Althought that may not be the 10 as there doesn't seem to be an oil cooler and I am pretty sure all the 1000s have oil coolers on them to help keep heat down.

One factor to add into this for the pro gun, is most people who would be threatening said rider or driver with the Gun in the first place would have a record or at least some prior history to support your claim of self defense. Just a thought to ponder...

For the street yes, but on the track braking into a corner is pretty much a necessity. If you know what you are doing braking in a corner as a necessity can save you, but not something to plan on going into a corner. I need to start to play with the rear brake on the track and see if it does settle down the rear end once it starts bouncing a bit.

Yeah I love that avatar too.... Now if I can just get the background focused i would be ready.

Even lane splitting on the highway there was safer then just riding here. Best example. I was following my buddy and we were in the middle lane. We were coming up on two cars, when all of a sudden both cars started shading in their lane to open the middle for us to go between. It was an eye opener to see cars do that and know that they are paying that much attention to what they were doing to even think of it..
-
Ah I ain't worried.... Just hit your brakes a little, then when Flounder hits his, the warped rotor will not allow him to aim at all....
-
Just think if Lane Splitting was legal here like it is in Cali, I think Pittsburgh or New Jersey leagalized, and the rest of the world... Sucks I felt safer lane splitting in South Africa then I do sitting in traffic here in the states... Oh well. I did it once here and the guy was slowing down and speeding up after he passed me twice on the highway then had me pinned in the fast lane behind someone doing the limit, but still who shouldn't have been in the fast lane.
-
South Africa... Guy must have some money to have a bike there. 600s go for about $11k U.S.

Yes I am a Solo Professional. Practicing for 28 yrs... I got one thing to add to the discussion in this thread

Hey at don't make me bust out the Squid Farm tools and put you both in your place...
-
RJM is that you???? But +1 on the riding Drunk.... I rode home buzzed once (2 beers) Softball game rain delay and it was bad enough just following someone at the speedlimit. But the cop probably let you go for stopping, and hell the cop probably rides a sportbike himself.

I let a buddy use my 150cc scooter for his test. If you put a Honda Shadow right in the middle of the Slalom cones you only have about a foot between the cones and tires on each side so I think it would take a highly skilled slow skills rider to pass on that type of bike as the coes are not in line they are offset. I also tried walking my 929 through going from lock to lock and barely made it through due to the lack of Turning radius.
-
Well all he needs to do is auction off his YZF M1 that yamaha gave him and it will be paid off...
-
Well here in Cincy the test consist of a Shart 90 degree corner you have to stay in the lines. Stop with front wheel in box (normal stop no penalty if dont' stop before putting foot down, just make a controled stop). Then Slalom, if you can get passed the slaom you are home free as it is the hardest on the test. Offset cones where you have to go out side (5mph was too fast to do it on my seca). The GSXR will strubble since the turning radius is crap, not much clearance for hands to maneuver at short turns. Next is U-turn, not too hard Then you move to Quick stop. about 12-20 mph stop within 15 ft I think Then Object Swerve where you swerve a painted line on the pavement. Up north may have a figure eight, but I haven't seen it here in Southern OH. Edit +100 on the borrowing a scooter if you can. Makes the test a cake walk.

Best pass is to get to a MotoGP race early and hang out in the pits in the morning as the GP riders come in. HRC riders are always MIA when not riding.
-
Any pics of me passing you on Thursday....... Glad you had fun, I had fun laying at home and not spending 5 1/2 hours on the bike to ride up and back.....
-
Well handling you won't feel that much difference on the road with the 180 on a 6 inch rim. Now the 200 you may feel a little slower steering because of more material to turn but you will probably get a bigger contact patch at 1/2 lean.

If I know I am doing some highway miles I will set it at 38-40 then drop the pressures down when I get to the twisties. Depending on how hard I plan on running or if I just want to waste the tires is where I set the pressures for the twisties. Actually I run the pressures up so I can spin the rear more for fun a practice
-
For normal street riding I would set at 34-36 cold since in OH you don't need to drop the pressure any lower unless you are hitting the twisties with authority.
-
Sounds like the tire. If it is flat spotted you can get what feels like a wiggle as the tire moves over the flat spot. Other then that if it doesn't fix then I would check to make sure your wheel adjustments are dead on to make sure the wheels are aligned with each other. Also Check to make sure your chain isn't too tight as a tight change will not allow your suspension to work for you. You want at least an inch of play. The qualifiers are good tire I never had a problem with them on my CBR 900 even to knee down.

No they aren't sitting there and I had seen a cop make the same turn as well before I got pulled over a couple weeks or so prior when the cop who pulled me over said the sign had been there for a month. Some kind of notice that there was a new sign (it is a smaller sign hanging from the wire. I think had they put the sign on the side of the road or something to make people look that would have been a better option.
-
Worst part is, that even a month after my ticket I still see 3-10 cars make the same turn on red every week on my way to work and none of them are getting pulled over. I guess that just my ticket they thought was enough to push the message. Had they put up notification that the sign was there it might have been better.

Glad to hear he is ok. I know how he feels. I have been over the hood of a mini van and a Chevy compact car. Got aircare on the Chevy. I am surprised he remembers the Thud. All I remember is seeing the car peek through the line of cars and then waking up on the road. Heal fast and full.
