  1. The paint is great, and I think he should try and sell that to the San Fraciscan Stunters. They may like it for sitting on the tank wheelies.
  2. Looks good, but I would have to see if the seat is any softer this year.
  3. I was waiting for that ending. I figured it was a bicycle or a little Vespa Scooter.
  4. No the corner he is talking about is the right just after Honda Bridge and wheelie hill in the back side in the Esses. It is easy to make passes there as most guys will setup real wide and not carry speed into the right. Faster riders can just stay tight and carry the front brake through and still hold a tight line.
  5. Yeah you can take him off line as he passes you on his way to pass me... I will be surprised to see 38s as I am still learning this bike, but who knows. It felt really good at Putnam and Jim Lawson and a buddy were following me in the 18s so who knows. But yeah I will be bumping either you or Drew each session to make sure I follow you out.... And I think Drew needs Sliders for his helmet....
  6. Drew, I will be there Monday so I want to hook up with you ore Lizard and I am hoping to dip in the 36 range if there is enough open track. I hope to break the 40s with the 1000 as I am still learning the bike's behavior and how to re train my brake markers and corner entry.
  7. That and with suzuki speedo error 200 was actually 180ish.
  8. We need one what shows a sport bike riding by a harley stranded on the side of the road with tools all over the ground....
  9. Welcome to two strokes..... Two smokers... Sounds like an ok day with some good crashes and a bad equipment crash.. My 2 days on the tarmac went good. My estimated problem was the issue on the race 600 so all was good (even set a best time 1:17.86 down from a 1:18.03 with the lap I took the checker flag would have been faster ) Crashes weren't too bad this weekend but we did have a guy rushed the Hospital with 7 broken ribs and a brusied lung on Saturday. Actually had a guy crash trying to keep up with me in the intermediate group. I was picking my way through a group watching each one for a couple corners or so. Guy highsided behind me, (I never heard it) and ended up in a tire wall that I never knew existed. Tires on the 600 were going off by mid day Sunday so I never did get to really push it again. The new 1000 was great once I lowered the Footpegs. Saturday they felt so high that I though my heels were up my a$$.. But even in 5th gear with 170 mph registering on the speedo going up a hill where the front would lift under power just as I hit the braking zone this thing pulls like MUTHA Trucka. I was surprised though at how much work it still takes to wheelie these things out of a corner. I have gotten small wheelies on the 600 but this thing just pulls like a freight train out and the front just skims and lifts a tiny bit unless I really get crazy. But by mid day Sunday the rear was starting to spin up on corner exits cranked over. Got one good slide in the slowest corner, but holding Neutral throttle brought the rear back in. Even did a slide on purpose without thinking about it. Running wide in turn 2 at Putnam I was still cranked over so I gave it a litte extra gas without thinking, spun the rear up a small amount enough to slow drive and change the direction a bit without any wiggle.
  10. I doubt it as I think the internal Gear Ratios are different. I know the final drive (sprockets) are different between the two.
  11. I am pretty sure that won't work, as they made quite a few changes between 03 and 04. But I could be wrong..(which is usually the case)
  12. Well, i will be using them this weekend and buying another set for the 1k next year..
  13. Hopefully October 1 the advanced class won't be full of slower riders like it was back in July.
  14. If I pass you there will always be lip... Just be ready casue once you low 40s it gets more difficult. Getting your bike tuned up (suspension) will help. but once you hit a point with stock suspension it will plateau. I know I hit 1:47 with twisted forks and swingarm, then next time out was with the new pavement, and immediately went 1:47, then 1:45 next session, then 1:42. Then rain. I only had a couple 1:39s and one 1:38, then a chitload of 1:40.(sub 5) the rest of the day once the tires started chunking.
  15. I don't think Lizard uses brakes....
  16. Yeah he is a fast wanker, But I know how to slow him down. Spill Gas all over his tank and seat.
  17. That and I know Lizard could pass me on my 600 (maybe my 1k) with him on a race prepped SV 650.
  18. On the track a 600 can pass a 750 can't it Flounder
  19. Yeah I hit sixth just as I pitch into the kink. It hit 5th just before the kink and as soon as I lean in the revs sky rocket and hit the rev limiter so I had to start hitting sixth in the kink... I finally got to braking at the 5 or 4 board depending on run out of hte keyhole, but I don't banzai brake either. That was my first time at Mid OH with the 5,4,3,2,1 boards up since it was the AMA practice day.
  20. It never would have died if the other MFGs would have made one. Kawi could have easily kept modifying their ZX7, and had Yamaha not made the R7 so damn expensive. Honda has a great base for a 750cc bike in the old RC 45 and Magna 750 motors.
  21. Just go and try to take the test. If you got a buddy with a small bike see if you can borrow (scooters are great for the test).
  22. Unless the FIM is changing the rules again I doubt you will see a 800. Since the FIM may see that as a production replica of the GP bike and make the GP bike inelligible like the WCM bike was when it used R1 parts. There was rumor of a 1000cc GSV-R too.
  23. Nope, there is no extra credit on the track.......
  24. Yes you are... 1:47 at Mid OH your 3rd trackday is very good.
  25. Flounder would like to choose T?? How many Ts Shitty??? Don't worry, he can kick me, I have smashed mine on a CBR 929 tank anyway.. Flounder is afraid of orange... He got the orange K7 to try and get over his fear, but after Mid OH I put it back in with my bright orange passing him on a regular basis.
