  1. If it is your first time changing sprockets i would stick with -1 +1 on a 1000cc. It makes a big difference and you don't want to catch yourself out too much. And if you are streeting it going up equivalent of +4 in the rear will increase your RPM at Highways speed for a more buzzy ride. I have -1 +1 on my race 1000 and so far feels good, though some tracks I know +2 rear is doable.
  2. For long Hwy run I will bump up to 40. For corners I will run 32 or so, and everyday is 36-38. Braking at higher speeds at 30 psi isn't what cups it. You figure on street tires on the track are run at about 30 psi... But the extra heat and hot PSI is perfect. But that low of a PSI (22) should have been instantly noticeable at slow speeds.
  3. Who knows. I was told that the folks in the area petitioned so everyone had to be off by 6 to make sure they track didn't have any big rallys or something. Jerm I should know in a coupe weeks if I am going. If so you can hitch a ride.
  4. there is a campground just from the track, but Putnam does not allow camping thanks to the Jackhole Neighbors.
  5. You will be leaving me. I will probably only push enough to run close to a 1:20 or so. I won't be running any advanced group since it will be first time on track after surgery.
  6. I am hoping to Conrtol ride those days for Cycle Options.
  7. We all seem to hold a soft spot in our hearts for Putnam
  8. Putnam Mid OH Nelson Ledges VIR Norht and South config Grattan (prefer backwards) Gingerman Barber Jennings Talladega GP Midvaal (in South Afrca) My absolute Favorite is VIR north...
  9. You didn't let Flis have a Golf Kart did you??? I never did see Jeff. Ran into Baker, Lizard, and went back to see the Shocker Represent. Looked for the STT tent to say hey but never found the dang thing...
  10. I'll attest to the HB shit... My 2 sets require a ton of dremel work to make them somewhat fit, and even then they still look terrible. A buddy of mine said the new E-Racing cheap stuff is several times better then Hot Bodies. If I hadn't got the one set with the bike and another set for only $250 I would not have bought HB and will never buy it again. The Godfather sets (though quality of make was off) fit better then Hot Bodies.
  11. What is worse is when a AMA Privateer just out screwing off at a trackday wheelies past you and then just clears off.
  12. I thought might be legit. R6 $3400 Needs Motor
  13. So how much you chargin for a foot Kick??? Did you hear at the National they gridded HWT experts behind the 750 Novices.
  14. Why I will never camp again. If I had had a 12 ga I would have popped off a few rounds into the air (yes at angle so as not to rain pellets on anyone) to shut them up.
  15. only problem most rearsets raise the pegs not lower. I think the Vortex adjustables you can flop the plates (mount the ones for the right on the left side and vice versus) and get them lower..
  16. come over and I can let you try on some suomy.. I got a L Spec 1-R and a L Vandal.
  17. I can't remember which GSXR I had them on the 01 or 03 1000 but I had a just a peg that rotated 360. You could quickly change it from raised to lowered. At some of the settings you could actually be lower and more forward. They wer Lockhart Phillips called 360 peg or something like that. they never took off I guess and they didn't make them for many bikes.
  18. I know how you feel.. I get the same feeling in the advance group.. Last couple times I have been to Mid OH there have been riders in the advance group turning close to 2:00 lap times. And the bottlenecks happen. Though it was one way I was able to close back down on Chaz Davies when he hit some of them I just feel it is better to be annoyed the first time then scared from guys passing you mid corner or late on the outside. My dad almost stopped riding the track after his first morning because he was spooked (even in STT novice group) from how fast the coaches went and when the faster groups were brought by on the straight. Once we got him to stop worrying about everyone else he was fine.
  19. From all the days with STT I have been the follow the leader is only in the morning sessions and one session after lunch.. Then they release the riders to ride at their own pace, but coaches are always around and will jump in to help you if they see something. I have never seen a STT day where every session was follow the leader. The morning sessions are a way for them to introduce you to the track, then sessions to help you work on tools to help you improve.
  20. Well my buddy who had been riding for 20 some years and was very fast street rider and had owned every bad bike Suzuki made (84 Katana 1000, GS 1150E, TL-S 97, TL-R, 93 Katana 1100, BUSA) said the Novice group was the best thing he did.. It will introduce you to the track and track riding procedures. Now the all in two may be ok since they will still be watching you and you will get classroom. I still think 20 minute sessions will be a for first timers since you probably will not be able to run 30 minutes then you are just wasting your money. Heck I know a lot of first timers have issues with running 20 minutes sessions.
  21. I have no idea what he is talking about unless it is an actual school that Mid OH puts on without STT. I thought he meant all in two groups like the LED days..
  22. +10 if you have not done a day DO not do a LED day.. you will be wore out by lunch time. I don't care how fit a person is first time on the track 95% are mentally drained by 1st or 2nd session after lunch and that is with 20 minute sessions. It takes a lot of stamina to last 30 minutes at Mid OH
  23. In your OP you said he was being impolite the moment he opened his mouth.. If he didn't start till you said something about getting a warning then I guess I could see, but still..
  24. I did hear on the CBS broadcast that word is Melandri's Ducati contract may be extended. If that is the case it doesn't look good for Hayden to stay competitive in GP. As he would end up at Suzuki, Kawi, or satelite team.
  25. Stoner I feel is just mad cause he thought he had this race in the bag after his dominance of the time sheets. I know for a fact that he has raced like this in 250s and 125s where passes are worst then anything Rossi threw at him in every race.. The passes were clean and they never touched except the corkscrew where I think rossi's save there saved both of them. Had Rossi wiped out in the dirt the bike may have taken stoner out, and if rossi stood it up to run off he would have come back on the track farther down the corkscrew right in front of Casey and probably took both out.
