  1. What Classes can Flis run with his Duc? I thought he had a superbike build on it, or does he have another motor? Sheehan is running Superstock...
  2. I was expecting stoner to crash early on. First 5-6 laps coming through Rainey corner you could see either both tires let go or at least one. He settled down through there later on, but first few laps he had so many saves there it wasn't funny. Althought Speed didn't show it, Stoner Refused to shake Valentino's hand in the Podium lane so to speak. And the interview that he gave the Speed euro commentators was shocking. I saw that Rossi was able to run 1:21s in the race and that was what gave him a chance.
  3. And that is a typical NASCAR fan comment right there. "Did you see that Crash? That was great/awesome/best part."
  4. Who all is running? I am going to make a nice NC Shocker sign to hold up for parade lap to the grid....
  5. I actually would call the station and ask to talk to his superior. There is no call for that. And if you were only registering 70 then there is no facking way you were doing 72 unless you have a speedo healer, or you rolled off before you looked down.
  6. You didn't know. With Flounder around Lizard's box is always full.....
  7. That got me laughing just thinking about it.
  8. Yeah Jerm will ride with you even if it is 28 degrees and dark.... 4-6 more weeks and I will be back on 2 wheels..
  9. I'll be there Saturday... Yota you in the Ducat exhibit then??? I'll have to come by and pick on ya.... If you see someone in a black sling that is probably me..
  10. June 28th 2001 accelerated to 45 then began slowing down for stop light up ahead (2 lane road right lane goes straight and left turns). Left lane is backed up about 20 cars deep and I am just tooling up to the stop light. Then from between cars I see a gold minivan nose popping out about 30 ft up. So I brake and lean right, just as I get to about mid lane I make contact on the front wheel of the van and over I go. Stayed concious through flight and landing just on the other side of the van. Earned a trip to the ER and some Physical therapy for my hip which I used to dent the gas tank. August 21st 2006 Morning ride to work after a good weekend of racing at Nelson Ledges. 4 lane road with entrance rame turn lanes. I was heading South and the entrance ramp turn lane for this direction is backed up about 1/4 mile. I am in right lane behind a car who is turning right on to entrance ramp following about 5-6 car lengths back. As car begins to turn right I start to roll on gas to go on through green light. Then all I see is a white hood and that is all I remember from that one. Estimated 30 feet distance in the air and actually got a Air Care ride to ER. One other crash on street lowside into a left hand corner about 45-50 mph, but nice soft skid area and no body damage, just $3k to the bike. Multiple track crashes.
  11. 84 in a 70. Figured my Speedo was off by more then it was as I hadn't GPS verified it. After 7 hours in the saddle with 3 to go coming from south of Atlanta. Was registering 94 and figured 15mph error at that speed not just 10. Heck my 01 GSXR 1000 was almost 8 mph off at 65 stock.
  12. Luckily I have option to ride with them on Dad's bike so if they wanna run they better be faster then I am. But If had someone who was looking at their first bike no I wouldn't let them. I would let them ride passanger, but test ride. Now if the person seems to be knowledgeable then I would let them, but in that case I would have them leave their license or money.
  13. Actually Schwantz and Greg White did ok with commentating. Schwantz was better on camera this time, and they didn't blow too much out of proportion. Some things they just say knowing they can get away with it on CBS, but true race fans and racers know they are blowing smoke.
  14. I have registered 170 ish on the banking at Nashville in the wet. And same weekend got knee down in the wet. What a great feeling. Thing that shocked me was they were still using the curbs in parts and wheeling off the curbs... Touch paint in the states and you are on your head before you can say S*!T
  15. I would have liked to ride as well :crying But since WERA lost the Mid Ohio round too what is the point. damn DMG/AMA fauckers.

If i can get some good times at nashville in October I put the GPS on and get some actual top speeds..
  19. To start off get ya a small open trailer for about $700-$900 and here are some cheap stands that are very good (still using my original set after 3 years http://www.handyindustries.com/shop/product_view.asp?idProduct=167&D=1&S=4 ) If they also make a stand that mounts in the steering stem for fork height adjustments.
  20. But you have to have some sort of headlight, tail light and turn signals in OH. But even if it is a standard Penske,TTx, Ohlins, and there are a couple others shock with the correct spring you will feel a difference. As the spring stock on that bike is only for someone about 150lbs and still soft for track use. Flouder can attest to how much better a basic suspension upgrade feels. Now I doubt you (or I) could tell the difference between the $650 Ohlins and $1000 Ohlins I agree... But Getting correct fork springs and better valving will make a difference that you can feel.
  21. That isn't bad, but you should be able to find one that has the suspension upgrades for not to much more. Figure if you want to set it up for track you are looking at $1100 min to get a Shock and Forks done to minimum upgrade When looking just have to see pics and look for marks on the frame, try to get one with some suspension upgrades. 3000 miles is pretty good as that bike probably saw 2k of it at least on the street. Unless your gonna jimmy rig a street setup it would cost more then you paid for the bike to put it back to street ready unless you buy a bike that has all the street stuff with it. I would at least stay away from 06 and up R6s for track as I have seen way to many motors blow this year. GSXRs never really had any issues that I can remember (Lizard would know more) and Honda's if you can stand to sit on them are always good. Also the strongest 600 is the Kawi with the 636 motor and is legal in WERA and CCS to run against the 600s.

Actual probably between 170 and 175. Indicated 186 as I shifted into 6th and kept it pinned for 3-4 more seconds before coming down off the banking and braking for T1 at Nashville.
  23. How are the rims done PC or painted??? I want to do my street rims. Either Blue hub and spokes and orange outer or Orange hub and spokes and blue outer. I think I may get my race rims done in Neon Orange this winter. That bike looks very good...
  24. Nope, hell if they think you accelerated too fast you can be hit with RO. My front wheel never left the ground and a cop pulled me over for RO citing excessive accleration. Though I fought it and won as the the COP lied his ass off on the stand about several issues... But yes even if you hit the gas without bringing the front wheel up they could still get you for RO...
  25. Glad you found it,,, See we are not as WE TODD DID as we come off Except Yota
