After watching the Repub debate I will not be voting for Mr. Paul. We can not afford to be the isolationist country that Mr. Paul wants us to be. His expressed views are tottaly against the way I believe he came close to being a liberal in some of his views.

I don't think its and arrogance thing I just think most people are scared to death of Hillary becoming president, and she seems to be at the top of the Dem heap!

That is because Repubs don't usually loose there values and Dems don't usually have values to loose:D

I usually try to keep up with the issues, but did not realize Mr. Paul is running on the Republican ticket.

I have been a conservative my whole life and usually vote republican since they usually follow along the same lines that I do. My question for you is do you think that someone outside the two main parties has a chance of winning office? Or is it more likely that they will take votes away from the other parties to make it a one sided election?

Yep full squid gear is shorts, tee shirts, hats on backward and I am sure I saw one with flip flops!

The wife and I were going to the store yesterday and about 5 sportbikes riding together in full squid gear passed. They were all reving the crap out of the bikes. I think all of them had two inch chicken strips on both sides of the tires. It was at that point I got to explain to the wife what a squid is.

No one wants to be a vegatable, but I would rather take my chances with gear. Why have a tip over accident at low speeds kill ya? I would rather be able to get up and walk away.

I would guess it is the rear tire as has allready been mentioned. I rode my step dads bike once that had the rear tire squared off and everytime I went to corner the bike it felt like it was going to slide out on me. Adjust the pressure and see if that helps but I think you really need a new tire, and you will be amazed at how much better the bike feels while cornering.

You are right there plus some of them the last time they rode was on a 350 and that was a big bike. Now they are jumping on a cruiser that is at a min 1200cc and they just can't handle it with their rusty skills!

On the way into work tonight I saw about 20 bikes of which maybe 3 were sportbikes. I just think there are more people riding cruisers than sportbikes.

Yea the couple met on a motorcycle list I am on. She moved from Ohio to be with him when they got married. She got the idea for the camp ground while in school and they decided to go for it. Both are great people and can tell where all of the great roads are.

I adjust/check my valves and synch the carbs during my winter maintenance on my bike. I miss not riding so I use the winter as my wrench time. Then I don't have down time during the normal riding season.

I think you are right and some of the reasons could be you have a bunch of people returning to riding after being off a bike for years. The cost of gas have caused a bunch of people to return to bikes and a bunch want that Harley personna so buy a cruiser. Then you have some of the baby boomers that the kids are now out of the house so they feel more comfortable getting back into riding. Alot of these people are scared of the modern sportbikes and the fear that if you touch the throttle the thing will throw ya off the back and take off like a rocket. So I think that most of the riders are getting onto a cruiser or standard.

I have been married to a non rider for 16 years Hell she won't even drive a stick shift car, but she does know that I love to ride and as never stood in my way or done anything to keep me from riding. If a person in going to start a relationship with an ultimatum it can only go down from there!

They only thing that I can add to this thread is that a lot of times a cop will pull a person on a bs item just so they can check them out. Once they have them pulled over then they can check the insurance, license, and see if they have any warrents or if the vehicle is stollen. So yes it may seem like a BS reason to get pulled over and I am sure a lot of us would get pissed for that but the cops have found that they get a lot of the busts from routine traffic stops.
