  1. You living in the past? When was the last time you rode a Harley?

last summer, an '06 FJAXWQULERGGHYQZ Electra-glide, $20k+ bike. Shook like a paint shaker at low RPMs, with rubber mounts. Twin cam engine. once you got it up to speed it smoothed out, but was a bear to maneuver, and heavy ass sum' beech too, My 'busa now, and then my GSXR 750 were/are SOLID mount I4's that use the engine as part of the frame, and they're smooth as silk at all speeds. Not to mention the seating position is scary as fuck, I felt like I was sitting in a recliner, no way to drive a motorcycle. Sportbikes are ergonomic and what a bike should feel like, you feel like your in control, your involved in the bike, not sitting on it hoping to stay along for the ride, not to mention I've got problems with some discs in my neck, and after a few miles sitting straight up and down bouncing on my spine, I was in serious pain. Sport bikes put your weight on your feet where it should be, or if it's long ass rides, you can lay on the tank.

I admit I felt the same way you do until they came out with the twin cam 88 engine. It is extremly smooth and so is the 96 cubic inch they punched out of the twin cam 88 and paired it up with a six speed tranny for most of their models this year.

Typical Harley, only 20 or so years behind the Jap bikes, I still don't understand the point of the Twin cam. Its not like they eliminated anything, hell all they did was add another cam, second cam gear/sprocket, extra timing chain, and double the rotating mass of the valve train. it's not like they went with DOHC or 4 valves per cylinder, they added another cam, and shortened the pushrods, whooptie.

In other words no more shake & bake going down the road at speeds over 65. Before you ask (in case you didn't look at my bike) I don't own a Harley right now. My bike is a VN2000A1 Vulcan and I love the big mother.

awesome, I'm glad you like it, I just don't see how someone can aspire to spend 2x the money on half the bike. HD should have been out of biz years ago, but T-shirt sales are still going strong

  2. Buy some or Donate.

Thats kinda the idea there jackass :p needed to know who to talk to, I kinda figured it was Satan but who the hell knows with this place :D

Oh yeah, you bringing that sled to the track rental? I wanna race it :D

  3. My family background is Italian on my mothers side and Scotch, Irish and German on my fathers side. They all came to this county for something better for their children and grandchildren and they all knew that in order to prosper in any country you must speak the language. My greatgrandparents on my mothers side could only speak some english but they wouldnt allow my grandfather to speak Italian anywhere but with them. They knew he had to become an american and that meant speaking the language. I can understand if you are a tourist or you just got off of the boat but if you have lived here for more than a few years and you have not learned conversational english enough to order a fucking sandwich or to read the street signs then you arent interested in becoming an american and you just want the freedom without the sacrifice. That is in my opinion disrespectful and I dont want you here.

Couldn't have said it better myself

    :plus1:

  4. I will get pix up as soon as I pick it up!

Thats kinda why I went with the bigbore, The woman and I want to take a ride down to VA beach, maybe Florida, and I'm in C-bus a shit ton as well (a 3 hour drive), and the added comfort was well worth the handling sacrifice. That and just the physical size of it made it SOOO much more comfortable to me, I was sold as soon as I threw my leg over it!

  5. In the other thread i said that my buddy has one for sale. Its an 04 with 1400 miles in the special red color. Full yosh system asking $7500. Let me know

thanks for the offer man, but not really a fan of the red, and I think this is an 05 the more I read about it, says the 'Flash to Pass' option started in 05, and this bike def has it.

  6. Well since the last post went to Hell in a hand basket, I've started a second one! My, arn't I resourceful. Here she is! signing the papers tomorrow, left a deposit, just wanted to sleep on it a night or two. I'm gonna get it don't know why I didn't just bring her home, wanted to find out if there's anything horrible about the 04 'Busa's I should know before I signed any papers.

    So without further a'due, here's Suzie;

Of course those were quickies shot with my phone, when I bring her home I'll post up some good shots :D the bike is incredible, 5k miles, I thought it was an 07 when I looked at it it's so damn clean. there's a TINY scratch on the top of the rear seat cover, thats it. other than that the bike is 100% stock, down to the tires. It's so clean I can't begin to describe it.

Oh well, off to bed, I'll see you all in the morning

  7. Well, I know it's not going to handle like a 600 and I'm not looking for it too. most of my riding is long distance and mild twisties. I'll never hang with the front runners on the C-bus, Zainsville ride, and I'm fine with that. I'm also 6'2" and 250 lbs and the physical size of the bike is whats appealing to me, I know a 1k can be made faster, and a 600 is quicker through the Twisties, and I like the corners, but it's not all I live to do, I do go to the track allot though, and I guess some of it is the rep of the 'Busa as well.

oh well, going to go look at them tonight, my friend says there's a black 'busa, silver flames, polished frame, extended/polished swing arm, says EVERYTHING is polished/chrome lol I'm actually kinda interested in seeing it.
