I am willing to deliver in the Central Ohio area. If outside that area, I CAN ship, but it would be in addition to the prices listed. Now, if you want all 7, I will meet... If paying via PayPal, you need to add 3% to cover fees. Prices are pretty firm, but willing to listen to offers. Especially if you want more than one. All of these have been stored in my basement in room temps. Never left in the trailer except during the weekends when I brought them as spares. THEY ARE ALL Michelin Pilot Power Race 190/55 and in the "E" Compound which is a Medium compound. They are exceptional big bike tires and will last you a very long time if you use tire warmers especially. I actually have raced on these and they wear great and last a good deal of time. I can provide pics, but they are all brand new with stickers. $135 each OBO.

AWD motorcycles are about to get real (Christini)
Moto-Brian replied to Disclaimer's topic in Pics and Vids
Off road racing of all the 2 wheel sports is more back and forth with switchbacks than anything else. In a National Enduro, if you think they are always vertical, you haven't been at any to actually see how often they are turning the bikes. The gyroscopic effect makes the bike WANT to be up and down straight. You essentially are forcing the bike at speed to turn left and right by leaning it side to side. And, if you don't think front wheels driving is going to change the handling, ever driven an all wheel drive car vs a rear wheel and vs a front wheel drive car? All drive differently. I understand you want to support this thing and I appreciate the debate, but in reality, what you've brought up are points that are simply not true. There is a handling difference, there is a change in the gyroscopic effect, there is a weight penalty, and the bike is going to get handed losses against rear wheel drive machines. -

Enduro cross has obstacles that are not speed sensitive. You went from GNCC, Enduros, etc to just Endurocross. EC is completely different than National Enduros. Again, 15lbs is a lot on the front. Don't think so? Hold 15 lbs on your hand and extend your arm out parallel to the ground for 30 minutes... Now, take a National Enduro and add 15 lbs to a bike you have to steer left and right a ton through trees. That 15 lbs is a shit load. Your idea of 15 lbs not being much would mean that guys should ditch 2 strokes for 4 strokes as even though the 4 strokes are 15 lbs heavier, they are more powerful... That's not the case. Now, 4 strokes are getting lighter and thus, become a choice vs 2 strokes. Point is that until you race and remove or add 15 lbs, you are never going to understand why 15 lbs is a lot. Especially on the front. Centralized would be different. This isn't. -
Do you agree with motorcycle only checkpoints in Georgia?
Moto-Brian replied to Casper's topic in Daily Ride
Random is way different than profiling someone. You have long hair and they test you - that's an issue. That type of thing. As mentioned, you can easily quit your job and go somewhere that doesn't. Also, on a random deal, at some point, everyone probably gets tested. If you are clean, nothing to worry about. The ones that bitch in those cases are usually offenders worried about getting caught. I like the idea of testing and having stops. i really do. But, I think it should include cars and trucks, etc. I like the idea of being stopped only because I am on a motorcycle and if found clean, getting compensated. It's profiling plain and simple. One court case is all it will take. All the state needs to do is check a few cars and trucks and they can still focus on every bike going through. But, instead they act stupid and point out bikes only. Not smart. -

Nah. What would they actually do anyways? I mean, they could easily blame it on something else and unless they tested the fuel, it would be tough to point the finger specifically at that location. -

The idea is that the front wheel is driving when engaged. This BS that you can switch it off is fine, but the idea of buying this type of bike is for 2 wd. That means the front wheel is turning and causing motion that conflicts with the gyroscopic effect that occurs on a regular motorcycle - wants to stand up all the time... As mentioned, the handling will take some getting used to, but all in all, it will certainly have advantages in some cases depending on conditions, etc., but when you compare it to a lighter, more agile version of the same class of bike to compete against, light and agile will win more times than not. Same on the R1. I can promise you that if the front is driving, it is going to cause a change in the way that bike handles. I also know that if you add weight up front, good luck getting that thing turned in a chicane, etc. It just doesn't make enough good sense to change over. Again... This would be on every bike if it made perfect sense. It's been around long enough that the companies would have adopted it if it was better. -

I understand what you meant, but I was also using MX/SX as an example of why these aren't going to be good choices. In sloppy conditions and in challenging terrain, yes. This bike will work well. But even at the National Enduro level, it is going to be tough to compete against the rwd bikes for agility and weight. That front whether on or off is heavy and it is loading the front. That changes the way it handles for sure and in aggressive switchbacks and similar, it is going to handle much differently. As for GNCC, well... I would say it doesn't stand up very well as GNCC is getting to the point that they are training by riding MX it is getting that fast. This bike isn't going to stack up well against that type of environment... -

They are not taking 2011s from Honda and rebuilding them. They are left over units from when Honda was retailing them at $4500. They would have been getting them at dealer cost, as well I assume. So, the increase is pretty big. The best bet is to buy a conversion kit vs a whole bike...That way, you can utilize your current platform. -

Endurocross is night and day vs MX/SX. Point is that the SX bikes need to be VERY agile while in endurocross, the ability to get through really tough obstacles makes this work. Better at times, I guess... Again, same with the R1. In the wet, sure. Traction and such makes sense. But, in the dry when handling reigns supreme, it isn't going to run as well... Two wheels turning is going to create issues with the gyroscopic effect that motorcycles deal with. Trust me, if it were something that had a premium advantage, do you not think the Big 4 would have these in use by now? It's not new tech and it is still similar if not the exact same as it has been for years. -

Pretty old technology and the technology was even tried at racing. Heavy and the handling is very awkward from what has been mentioned. Try scrubbing a jump with that thing, by the way... -
KTM RC8R Race Spec - 2011 turn key racer!
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Track is Crack
$20k is the Race Spec version (2011). The 2010 RC8R was $20k, but there will be a $3k reduction in price. The Red Bull (I have one dealer in Chicago with one currently if serious) will also have a $3k reduction. They were $24k at retail, however and only 18 were actually in the US. Was to be 25, but Canada got the extra 7... -

Even though it looked like a salt block? Thanks, man! I was really bummed to have to drive it to Indy for the show... I knew it would get filthy. On top of that, the Flyin' J just west of Richmond had water in the fuel. I had to pull over a few times, drain it and run again. Got some 911 stuff in it and some additive I use and it was running great by the time I got home. I WAS PISSED!! -

It will be for sale. -
Well, it actually doesn't have a key, but you get the idea. This is literally a ready to race or ready for track days RC8R. And the amazing part is that it is at the retail price of the 2010 RC8R street bike. If you add the costs of the components we have on this thing, you would CRUSH through the $20k price point. This is essentially the 2010 RC8R platform and has been proven to be dependable as well as a great performer. Here are some specs: Specifications KTM 1190 RC8 R Track » Performance 180 HP » Akrapovic EVO4 Titanium exhaust » Enclosed is a thinner head gasket to increase compression » Race mapping » Race air filter » WP Suspension Racing suspension » Automatic quickshifter » Racing wiring harness » Complete race cladding » KTM PowerParts foot pegs » KTM PowerParts Fold down hand levers » Racing seat » Racing brake pads » Racing chain with aluminum rear sprocket » KTM PowerParts racing tank lid » KTM PowerParts rear stand » KTM PowerParts crash pads and protective cover » Slick Dunlop race tires » White lacquer with orange number field More info and pics here: http://www.ktmusa.com/1190-RC8-R-Track.104117.20.html I should have mine in a few weeks once they hit the shore. Plan on running HWT Twins this year on the bike as well as the AMA Vintage event. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Vinyl wrap, professional paint or rattle can
Moto-Brian replied to standout's topic in Track is Crack
Paul (Attack Painter) can do your stuff for VERY reasonable and make it look WAY better than rattle can and oftentimes, the vinyl stuff... The vinyl stuff has a matte finish and looks like shit up close. Paul will get you in under that cost, also. 614-394-2195. Tell him I sent you! -
Of course, I might sound corporate, but the 690 SMC is an awesome machine. More substantial than an MX bike. Wider, heavier (good thing), more power and more torque. The 610 is a cool bike also. However, WAY down on power vs the 690. Remember, we are talking small hp numbers here to begin with... That all being said, neither is going to be ultra comfy. We rode Adventures a full day and even their comfy style seats were a bit rough on the back side. That being said, I've spent days on the 690. Seat aside, the thing is STOOOOOOOPID fun. In fact, we should supply a set of hand cuffs with each sale. It's fun! Also, as far as freeway goes, both suck. Smaller CCs and no wind protection. Buffeting happens and the bike is running at higher RPMs. Again, if I were allocated more demos, a 690 SMC would be in the garage. It's a real bummer we aren't bringing it in for 2011. If you want something smaller, but actually about equal to the 610, check out the 2011 Husaberg 570. Bit tougher to find a dealer, but I can lead you to one that will help ya out. But, the 570 is more MX narrow and feel.

Had some really awesome fun this weekend in CA...
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Pics and Vids
You should see them in person. This year's glossy paint is SIIIIICK! The bike has refinements, but feels like we did a bunch of major cganges. I know that it sounds corporate, but they are really good. Put it this way, Ty Howard was about 5 seconds slower than Toye - local AMA guy. Ty and I were on bone stock bikes with less than ideal tires and Toye was on his AMA BMW... We had the new RS version, but we weren't allowed to ride it as the bike was tested by RRW Thusday and we didn't have anymore... -
KTM had us come out this weekend to CA to have a little fun and try out our new Adventures and RC8Rs... Friday was an epic ride through the Devil's Staircase and the Cleveland National Forest. We ran mostly single lane roads that were gravel on pavement and some spots of heavy sand. Loads of jumps and woop style runs. When I say we were hauling the mail, we were probably going fast enough to cause some serious issues if we overcook a turn and ran off the cliffs. We were up high enough that Lake Elsinore looked like a pond. I can't remember the miles, but it was a day long trip and we only stopped for lunch. We pulled over at times to get the group back together, but most of the guys are pretty competent and we didn't stop long. Here's a shot of our bikes sitting at a Biker Bar we stopped at lunch. 12 riders in total. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Saturday (today), we were running at Fontana. We got to test and ride the 2011 RC8R. Pretty damn cool. The track isn't what I would call the best I have been. Kind of like racing in a parking lot. Not a big fan... We were running the US version of the Dunlop Q2 - called the SportSmart. Not the best tire for sure. Were getting greasy fast and spun a ton. But, it was a blast. Here's the 20 RC8Rs we had to choose from: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Tomorrow, we have dealers coming to ride the bikes so, we are just hanging out and helping out. But, pretty damn cool to have our company bring us out to ride what we sell in a manner that is not typical of what they are usually put through.

One, the R6 is a much better bike adn more highly sought after. Two, the GSXR600 is a bit of a turd in that generation configuration. On a good day, possibly $5k... In Spring... My idea was a quick $1k.
